Great stay here for the weekend. So peaceful and relaxing, had everything I needed, including lovely hot water! Looking forward to returning next year. Richard

All contact with Selma and Alistair from initial contact, to being met on arrival, chatting during our stay and waved off when we left was an absolute pleasure. Selma and Alistair and the Team really know how to provide a wonderful welcome. The Shepherd’s Hut itself is a joy to arrive to. Such luxury in a small space! Everything is high quality and beautifully presented The little kitchen has all the equipment you need plus some, and is such fun to cook in. The log burner was a treat all laid and ready to go, and we enjoyed star gazing from our bed up through the window in the roof. We appreciated all the little things like the lovely flowers, home made shortbread and fudge and a tot of whiskey! The location and setting is so delightful. Quiet with beautiful views and an abundance of wildlife to enjoy. Delightful walks from the door and a short drive into St Abbs for a wonderful coastal walk plus lunch in Duns made for a really lovely few days away. Thank you

The cottage is a brilliant bolt hole - acting as a gateway for the borders The cottage itself is very well laid out and extremely well equiped The hosts are very pleasant to deal with and had great communication throughout our stay - but never intrusive The hosts welcome you with a number of goodies to get you started and make available other option upon request such as breakfasts and meals The farm itself is organic and the hosts actively encourage you to explore All in all this is an excellent choice for a couple exploring the borders and want somewhere quiet and relaxing to stay Highly recommended Val & Bernie

My family had a wonderful stay at Miss Rankin's cottage which was very comfortable and fully equipped. We really loved the peace and quiet of the location but didn't have to travel far for day trips and to visit the coast, Gullane Beach was a particular favourite. Relaxing around the fire pit is the perfect way to round off an evening. Liz and Phil are always available to help if required. All in all a great relaxing short break. Rob and family.
