Holiday rentals with lake access in Cumberland County

GREAT FIND!! Don & Nina were fantastic hosts! We LOVED the location. We were welcomed with fresh flowers in a vase on the dining table, and we enjoyed our meals together there as well. We greatly appreciate how CLEAN the entire place was. The setup of their place was just perfect for us and our parents! We love to coo k, and the kitchen is well-appointed! The beds and pillows were very comfortable giving us a good night's sleep each night. The full-sized bedroom has a mini split which adds to the warmth or cool (whichever is needed). The master bedroom with a queen bed is large and comfortable. Our parents loved the two rocking chairs, and we enjoyed the comfy couch and chair. Even though we didn't have the greatest weather during our stay, we were able to get out on a kayak and enjoy the lake. The house is nestled in a very quiet cove on the lake and, because there is no public access to the lake, the entire lake is a fantastic find! This will be an annual stay for us now!

Such a beautiful and peaceful place!! my kids didn’t want to leave! Lovely cottage feel with a beautiful view to the lake. We had such a great time taking the kayaks and paddleboard out on the water and enjoying our coffee overlooking the water from the sunroom,. Thank you for the great family memories!

This cottage is perfect for Sebago if you own a boat. She has everything you could need for a stay on the water. I would love to stay here again this year.

Beautiful and comfortable house in a lovely natural setting, five minutes from Pleasant Mountain, which we think is a wonderful family ski area. Marty was very kind and extremely helpful with all our questions and requests. We would love to return and experience other seasons here as well.

Our group was two small families with kids ages 6 and 8. Everyone had a great time. If you’re looking for a home to get out into nature, this is it. The private dock and lake gave us hours of time to play outside. Kayaks, paddle boards, and fishing off the dock was fun and all part of the house. Kids had a blast and so did the adults. Perfect for family summer vacation. We had a few rainy days but either played board games inside or went into Portland which is only 20-30 minutes away. Visited Mackworth Island in Casco Bay. Must do if you want to have a day excursion. The house well kept and easy to navigate. We spent more time outside on the lake than inside.

This has been by far the nicest place we have stayed. Super clean and nicely decorated. Wonderful communication by the hosts. Perfect weekend getaway.

The house was prefect for our family, plenty of space. The house provided a number of great amenities from linens and towels to canoe and kayaks .We enjoyed sitting out on the deck overlooking the lake. If you enjoy fishing this lake is for you. Great location to restaurants, shopping and site seeing. Timissa was an attentive host, she answered all my questions and made my family feel very welcomed at her lake house. We recently stayed at this wonderful Airbnb with our two young children (ages 2 and 5), and it was an absolutely fantastic experience! The property was private and offered a serene and safe environment for our little ones to explore and enjoy. One of the highlights for us were the breathtaking sunsets we got to witness every evening. The views were simply stunning and made our stay even more special. Additionally, we enjoyed fishing off the pier, which was a great activity for the whole family. Betsy, our host, was amazing! She was always available for any questions we had and made sure we felt right at home. Her friendliness and attentiveness truly enhanced our stay. The nook is a beautiful and cozy place to explore this part of Maine! Kate was an INCREDIBLY responsive and generous host, even replying to a message I sent late at night with the best northern lights viewing location I’ve ever seen. Norway and Brighton are great surrounding towns and the lakes in Harrison are beautiful spots for a swim. Everything was wonderful!

what a beautiful home, the pictures do not do it justice. Booked last minute while in Maine for work, and it was a perfect relaxing place to stay. The view from the porch was so peaceful and the gardens and entire back yard were beautiful. The attention to detail shows outside and inside as well, with unique antiques and small interesting details everywhere. Thank you for a great stay, will def look to book again when I am back in Maine.

Sandra has made a beautiful apartment. My girlfriend at that time and I looked around and thought, “yup, we could live here.” Not long after that she became my fiancé (I proposed); and to celebrate Sandra recommended a fine restaurant called the Pondicherry House, which delivered 10/10 food and a special small town clap and congratulations to us. Won’t get that in the big city.. The weekend was very wonderful. It’s a special little town and Sandra gave us great pointers. Including offering us her lawn chairs for a local festival… everything walking distance! If you want a small town feel with nice restaurants, trails and lakes - all locally - and then even more shops and food a short 35 minute ride away (in North Conway, NH), this is your spot. We hope to come back soon!

Home is just as listed. Very comfortable, clean, and location was perfect for our needs. Kitchen had everything we needed to prepare a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner. Can not say enough on how great our stay was.

This Lakeside Retreat was a perfect weekend escape for two couples. In late September, we seemed to have the pond to ourselves and enjoyed sharing time around the firepit overlooking the lake. The Bathroom was spacious and one level up from the bedrooms downstairs. The kitchen had everything needed to prepare an excellent meal. I would highly recommend this cabin to a a small group of friends or family looking for a great location near Portland and Lake area attractions.Our host Bobbi was very responsive.

Great cottage right on the lake! Kayaks were great to take out and explore the lake and see wildlife as well. The cottage is spacious and comfortable. The kitchen is large and well appointed for any cooking you may want to do. Grill and plenty of beach chair/ towels available as well. Adam is extremely responsive and I highly recommend. The place is quite peaceful though the lake gets pretty busy on the weekends with boats but not in an obnoxious way. Loved sipping coffee and reading on the dock each morning. Will definitely book again!

My wife and I stayed at John's place for a quick weekend trip but the house is large enough for several more with 5 additional beds plus some space in the living room for sleeping. Great location on the lake with amazing views and only about a mile and a half from downtown Bridgton with some shops and nice restaurants. The house was immaculate and had everything you need from kitchen accessories to towels to plenty of games and books. John was extremely responsive and I don't think I waited more than 30 minutes for the few back and forth messages we had. Definitely recommend!

We really enjoyed Elizabeth's house. It was beautiful and peaceful. The dock and beach were great. Communication was awesome! would loved to stay stay again.

Janet’s place in Standish was great and we could not have asked for a better host. Apart from the home itself, Janet was very friendly and responsive. She even proactively offered early check in / late check out, extremely unexpected and appreciated! Would absolutely recommend this BNB 10 times out of 10.

Cheryl's home is cosy and quiet, and the photos don't quite do the place justice. It's an amazing spot since you can walk into town and access the trails to Pondicherry Park, and it's back off the road enough to feel private and quiet. We really enjoyed our stay, and especially the cupcakes that were there upon our arrival.

Overall, it was a great experience! Very peaceful and on a private road. I appreciated a clean and welcoming place! I would recommend this spot and stay here again. Owner was very kind and responded to any questions I had. Only thing that could improve was the kitchen layout. Kitchen iteam were in odd locations. I had to open each cabinet to find the oven mitts. This is a very little critique, and I would still rate it five out of five stars!
