Located only 4 miles from the local shop in Hamnavoe and 13 miles to Lerwick, there are regular buses between Burra, Scalloway and Lerwick.

It is a great location as the village has a shop, Leisure Centre, Harbour and Marina, play park and is a 5 minute walk to the fantastic ‘Michael’s Wood’. This award winning woodland and trail was planted by family in memory of our cousin and so is a really special place for us which we hope you will enjoy.

The Waddle is situated on an active croft. We have approximately 250 sheep with lambing in the spring, silage baling in the summer and feeding in the winter.

This is such a sweet fisherman's cottage, decorated with a lot of charm. It is warm and welcoming, with a happy atmosphere, in an ideal situation right by the harbour. l'd wondered if Scalloway would be a busy town but it's a quiet, friendly fishing village. And you're well positioned in the middle of the island, within reach of all the interesting places. We had a very cosy time in the cottage, and l even looked into staying longer but it was all booked up!

We are a couple who stayed with our 2 dogs for a first trip to Shetland .Excellent stay -cottage very charming and well appointed - had everything you could possibly need - very clean and comfortable with secure garden ideal for our 2 spaniels.Good location for exploring Bressay . Lerwick is a frequent short ferry hop away for trips further afield .Would highly recommend staying her.

We loved it and could easily have stayed for several more nights All I would say, is that as we were cycling, it was a little further and quite a challenging extra few miles to cycle into the wind with laden bikes and then we had to unload and cycle back to the shop to get some food. Absolutely worth it once you arrive though

We were going to Shetland for a family birthday and Carole helped with recommendations in advance for getting a cake organised which was excellent. Ina's cakes and bakes was fantastic House was brilliant well equipped lots of space and walking distance from a small beautiful beach. Views out across the bay were stunning Ample parking for multiple cars. Carole was easy to contact and quick to respond when i had a question. House is fairly central for exploring the islands and Carole's directions were spot on and made perfect sense. We had a really enjoyable week.

Shelby’s was the perfect cottage for our stay and she was so friendly and helpful. Perfectly situated for South Mainland and with everything we wanted. Fresh eggs available about 50 metres away, a wonderful local shop. Curlews and their chicks on plain view from the kitchen window. What more can you ask?

We enjoyed our five night stay at Home in Quarff, and can heartily recommend you stay here! Very well presented accommodation fitted out to an excellent standard, with full amenities inside. The three bedrooms are upstairs: fresh, spacious with comfortable beds. The ground floor bathroom has both a walk in shower and separate bath, with plenty of hot water available. A comfortable living room is separated from the kitchen / diner. The TV uses a fire TV stick to access a range of services. The kitchen / dinner is fully equipped. The garden provides a wonderful view of the bay to the east. This is a perfect location to explore Shetland or simply to be a home from home while you work.
