The House of Prayer

Welcome to our guesthouse, where you can relax with the whole family in this peaceful accommodation. Located four kilometers from the authentic wooden town of Nora in the beautiful Bergslagen region, Bönehuset was built in 1901 and was originally a missionary house. Now a comfortable home featuring a large combined kitchen and living room where the church hall previously stood, plus two spacious bedrooms and a bathroom. On a chilly day, the fireplace in the connecting room provides warmth. The garden area is available for socializing and play. There is a swimming area a few hundred meters away.

Quiet and peaceful idyll on its own headland with magical nature around the house. Swim in the lake or the hot tub, relax in the wood-fired sauna or take a ride with the floating dock. Soak up the sun from morning to evening or the cooling shade among the trees on this private headland. Discover the lake's many islands and coves by kayak or fish with the rowboat. Barbecue and larger dining area outdoors as well as several different seating areas. Perfect for families and larger groups. The houses are suitable for 12 people, but there is sleeping space for 18 people.

The main building is newly built in 2021 with a new and fresh kitchen and bathroom. Wood-fired fireplace. Open, bright floor plan. Large windows and glass doors facing the lake. Newly built sauna (ready to use), but the exterior and gazebo are still under construction. Quiet area close to forest with nice trails, including Bergslagsleden. Golf course about 3 km away.

Lush outdoor environment and rural Scandinavian decor with wooden panel from floor to ceiling. Peaceful color scheme with fully equipped kitchen, washing machine and dryer. Walking distance to forest, 10-15 min car to town, 7 min to lake, golf course and gym. In the garden, during the summer, there is an outdoor patio, trampolines, a soccer field, and berry and fruit trees.

Dishwasher and washing machine. 200 meters to the center, 50 meters to the promenade at Norasjön and 400 meters to the swimming area, parking in the yard.

Nobelvillan, Gyttorp/Nora

This magnificent villa is located directly adjacent to Akzo Nobel's old headquarters for the gunpowder factory in Gyttorp. The villa was used as a manager's residence and later as a guest villa to entertain and impress distant guests who visited the head office. With its large living areas, the villa is perfect for larger groups. 15 beds arranged in eight bedrooms. The kitchen and bathroom are of a simpler standard, but with its lakeside location and historical charm, Nobelvillan is something out of the ordinary.

With only 30 meters to the lake, you can enjoy a fantastic view and easy access to our private dock. Welcome to a cozy cabin located by Kilsberget, where you can enjoy your morning coffee next to the soothing stream! The cabin has an open space with a dining area and a living room with a fireplace. The main cabin has two bedrooms, a kitchen, a toilet, and a living room that can accommodate 5-7 guests. The view from the house and the guest cabin for two overlooks the stream Göljestigen. Relax in this peaceful place and experience all that nature has to offer. Hiking, MTB trails, waterfalls etc.

Newly-equipped house with its own bay and rowboat

Lovely vacation home for those who like animals and nature! Here you can fish, swim, hike and cycle. In the nearby area, there are several nature reserves as well as hiking and biking trails. You have access to a simple rowing boat (life jackets can be borrowed) and your own swimming cove or you can borrow our jetty where you can dive or fish. We are located between Örebro and Karlskoga in Norhammar. Towels and sheets are not included. For an additional cost, they can be rented from the host.

"Livets Källa" - your own private island in Sweden

Slow down in this unique, soothing place to stay. This beautiful location is situated on Lake Norr-Älgen, just outside the town of Hällefors. A private island that is self-sufficient with a sauna. So is life on this island. Of course, it is already unique to be able to book a house on a private island. The house/island exudes simple Swedish life. The house is self-sufficient in electricity and (hot) water. Although that does not mean that it is available without limits. Wonderfully private
