Family-friendly holiday rentals in Dana Point

The location was great, close to many restaurants and shops, great ocean breeze, great ocean view from the room, beautiful grounds, and 5 minutes from my sons house on Camp Pendleton!

Our recent stay at Michelle’s Airbnb in Leucadia, California, was nothing short of exceptional! From the moment we arrived, it was clear that Michelle has thought of every detail to make her guests feel at home. The property is absolutely beautiful, spotlessly clean, and impeccably maintained, creating an inviting and comfortable atmosphere that rivaled the coziness of our own home. The kitchen was a standout feature, fully stocked with everything needed to whip up almost any meal. From cookware to an impressive array of spices, we had all the tools to enjoy home-cooked dinners, which made our stay even more special. It’s rare to find such a well-equipped kitchen in a vacation rental! The location is perfect for soaking in the local culture. Right on the beach, we loved taking daily walks to explore the vibrant Leucadia community. The highlight, though, was watching the sunset every evening from the living room or deck—pure magic! Absolutely beautiful space! It almost seems like you’re transported somewhere else, even another time. It was all great! And being one who usually avoids host interactions, Margarita and her husband couldn’t have been more welcoming. 10/10 would reco!

I stayed here with my bridesmaids the night before my wedding and it was exactly the peaceful experience I needed in such a hectic week! We spent so much time lounging around chatting, enjoying the view & the outdoors. Sooooo so so calm and quiet.

View was spectacular! Loved the decor style! It’s an older unit but still well maintained. Loved the amenities and proximity to the beach and restaurants in Oceanside. Would definitely stay here again!

Ari’s place is fantastic. I sat out in the patio every morning listening to birds and having coffee. Nice quiet cul de sac. House was exactly as photos represented. Amenities and kitchen and bathrooms were resort level. Great place and I’ll be back! Thanks Ari.

This is such a lovely Airbnb - one of my favorites! So peaceful, the space is beautiful and feels right at home, and has everything you need. Perfect space in the bedroom for our one year olds pack and play. Lots of storage around the house for anything you need to put away. The jacuzzi was an awesome treat at the end of the day. The space is clean and so cozy. The host was helpful and responsive to our questions. Close distance to San Diego safari park which we really enjoyed! Overall a great place that we’d love to return to.

Loved this treehouse! So much fun for my friend and I. Two sixty-something ladies in town for some fun and tired of boring hotels. The detail and craftmanship Dan has put into this treehouse is amazing. It is unbelievably solid as well. The bathroom and shower are adorable and look like an outhouse. Wish we could have had more time to spend on the beautiful upstairs balcony but our schedule was too packed. The AC worked well for the hot days we were there and wireless was also good. If stairs and ladders are hard for you, this may not be a place for you to stay. But if you want adventure, something totally unique and in a safe area near lots of things, this is for you. It would be amazing if you have kids. My friend and I didn't want to sleep in the same bed so one of us slept on the couch. There is also a spare matress you can use but the couch was fine for us, maybe not for a larger person. I highly recommend, and when we come back to OC we'll definitely stay here if we can.

Adele’s place was wonderful, including a super comfortable bed and luxurious bath. We appreciated the cleanliness and all the little extras like the full-length mirror at the end of the hall (we had some formal events to attend). Adele was very friendly and made us feel right at home. Will definitely stay again!

We had a great time staying here! The location was great and the space was just like it was described. If we’re ever back in the area, I would love to stay here again!

Diane was an ideal host. Great communicator and very responsive. The place was located close to the beach and walkable to restaurants in town. The second floor ocean view spotless place was spacious with plenty of natural light and privacy.

Was a great spot to be for a few nights and Kamilo was very kind and helpful! Would highly recommend for anyone looking for a getaway that’s clean, comfortable, and close to the beach.

Five stars, 100%, A+! If you have the chance to stay here at Tonya’s beach cottage, don’t miss it! Perfectly appointed, clean & spare but warm and welcoming design and furnishings. Darling neighborhood with lovely walkable streets and a flower-lined pedestrian bridge leading to the beach a short 10 min walk away. And Tonya’s hospitality is truly a gift that she enjoys sharing with others!!! Gorgeous charcuterie board and a bottle of chilled wine were waiting for us upon arrival. And, by some magical combo of a lovely mattress, crisp cool sheets and ocean air, I experienced truly great sleep! Thank you so much Tonya!

This was one of the best AirBnb's I have stayed at. Jan was friendly and left several extra ammenities inside the home. The location was in a safe and walkable location. The outside seating areas were inviting and relaxing. My stay was very enjoyable and I will be returning when I am in the area again.

Vivian and John‘s cottage was a perfect place for a three day stay. Very peaceful and calm with beautiful surroundings and close to everything I needed to get to. I would love to come back at some point.

Place was an amazing stay. The area was nice and quiet. Entrance to the place was very easy and the place has a pool and outdoor patio with a fire pit which was amazing! Beds and sheets were very comfortable and soft with an AC available. The room has a complimentary coffee station which was amazing!!! The place was clean and aesthetic! Highly suggest this place!

We want to say a huge thank you to these unbelievable hosts. Their house is incredible, they were very fast to respond to all inquiries, we desperately needed a crib and they came over to put one together for us. Wir hatten einen wunderbaren längeren Aufenthalt. Alles hat bestens gepasst und Nick war ein sehr netter und hilfsbereiter Gastgeber. Er hat uns unter anderem auch ans Meer gefahren. Es war alles sehr sauber, es fehlte an nichts und wir fühlten uns wie zu Hause. Auch der Garten wird von Nick liebevoll gepflegt und sieht wunderschön aus. Wenn wir im Haus waren, war Nick im Hintergrund, war aber immer präsent. Wir freuen uns schon auf unseren nächsten Aufenthalt bei Nick und können allen bestens empfehlen hier zu verweilen.

Brenda's place was cozy and felt like home. Location was perfect and great views. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely return for another stay.

First time in california and felt right at home. There’s so much to do around the area and we visited LA frequently throughout our stay. Sarah was super sweet and friendly, she let us drop off our luggage earlier than our check in time and gave us a mini tour of the beautiful guesthouse along with its amenities. We felt super comfortable and right at home. 10/10 would highly recommend.
