Holiday rentals with outdoor seating in Dane County

We spent the weekend here and enjoyed the house, especially our time hanging out in the yard and on the back deck! The house was very clean and thoughtfully prepared for guests. We appreciated the blackout shades, comfortable beds, and relaxing vibe. And having a garage space was very convenient!

One of the things I really appreciated was how proactive Mark was in his communications. He reached out before, during and at the end of our stay. We enjoyed the comfortable beds, the well-stocked kitchen and grilling out on the patio. We also appreciated having a queen in each bedroom. Mark gave us some good recommendations for nearby restaurants. The house was conveniently located and the neighborhood felt very safe. Would definitely recommend!

We loved our beautiful water view and we were so close to great restaurants. Douglas is such a friendly host and very accommodating. We would definitely stay here again!

This is one of the most aesthetically gorgeous, peaceful and unique Airbnb experiences I've enjoyed. What an absolutely lovely sanctuary of light, simplicity, and calm refuge just 30 minutes drive through rolling farmland, woods and wetlands from downtown Madison and the UW campus. The indoor fireplace and hot tub are such fabulous highlights! I loved every aspect of the orchard house including Josh's proactive tips and quick responses to a couple of minor questions I had. This was a really lovely place to spend a long weekend. I will be back and have already told all my friends about it. Bravo!

This is a gem if you like to walk to local restaurant have access to all the stores you need and a need to feel surrounded by nature. The master bedroom was so wonderful with a screen door to leave open at night for fresh air, also a small balcony to view the water from bedroom. We left the outdoor summer lights on the deck that somehow reflected on the ceiling of the master bedroom at night it left a beautiful light pattern, magical place, to see turtles, birds and we saw a heron as we left the house, resting on the dock. Great location and amazing hosts! We had dinner on the grill with music it was simply perfect.- Thanks, again to our hosts! Worth it!

We really enjoyed our stay at Chris's beautiful home. The location is private and quiet yet close to everything we needed. The amenities made it comfortable for our family to gather, dine and play. Thank you, Chris!

We had a wonderful time.! We enjoyed the peacefulness and wildlife at Mike’s place. We took advantage of the nearby park for biking. We tried to fish off of the dock. We throughly enjoyed the hot tub on several occasions. It was wonderful having s’mores around the fire. We took advantage of local dining as well as driving 20 minutes to Madison. We loved the Brazilian Steakhouse! We also traveled 35 minutes to Fort Atkinson to enjoy our favorite dinner theater, the Fireside. There is a delicious local bakery that is inexpensive. Go in the morning because they sell out. My very favorite part was watching and listening to the birds. Mike has a bird feeder that attaches to the window in his sun room. We went to Walmart 10 minutes away and bought bird seed (on the last day I saw Mike has bird seed) and 2 cakes of suet. The suet was gone in 5 days! That’s how many birds we had. The home is clean and well appointed. They have MANY books sitting out.

The guest suite was extremely spacious, clean, & charming. The beautifully landscaped property is tucked away in a small, rural neighborhood (perfect for walking our dogs!), yet very convenient for getting around the Middleton/Madison area. Phill & Vickey are very gracious hosts. We would definitely stay here again when back in the area!

Hello! Elizabeth was a wonderful host, she was very informative and recommended a lot in the area. You can really tell she cares for her guests and the space. It was a beautiful home and my group is so happy we stayed there.

This place was exactly right for our needs, with a fully stocked kitchen and a great bed. Blue Mounds is a cute spot with easily reachable trails, and there is a nice walking path nearby this Airbnb that is within walking distance. Mt. Horeb next door has some great spots for food. If you are an early riser, this is a great option. If you tend to sleep past 7:30, be aware that the noise from the coffee shop next door- people talking, moving, eating- is as loud as it being in the room with you, and the coffee grinding will be happening right next to the bed about half an hour before opening. Just something to be aware of to note the hours of it before booking, if you are planning to snooze. We had to be up by 6 so this wasn't an issue.

We loved our stay at Tricia’s whimsical, boho home. The artistic, multi-level layout was perfect for celebrating my daughter’s 5th birthday weekend. The space had plenty of room, creative decor, and nostalgic touches like the Wii, which my kids loved. My daughter was able to relax with Bluey upstairs while I prepped meals and unwound after our days exploring nearby Madison. We visited the Madison botanical gardens, children’s museum, and Capitol, and enjoyed two local diners with great food and reasonable prices. A couple of great surprises made the trip even more special: Fireman’s Park across the street had an outdoor movie night (Moana 2), food trucks, a splash pad, and an updated playground. Tricia also surprised my daughter with birthday cupcakes and a gift card to Woolly’s Snack Shop, where we got ice cream on our way home. Lots of sleeping options, games, and puzzles made the home even better. Tricia was super communicative and we’d definitely stay again.

I travel to the Madison area for work often and have stayed at Kathryn’s place a few times. The rental is the full second floor of a home in DeForest, a quiet little village not far outside Madison. It’s a clean, well-equipped, comfortable unit, with a private entrance, that makes a great base for exploring DeForest and the broader Madison area. I would not hesitate to stay here again!

An absolutely gorgeous apartment in the best location. Everything was as described and seen on the photos, if not better. Yet even with everything being top-notch, what was even more outstanding was my experience with Julia. Her communication has been great from beginning to end. Not only that, but also when I had an emergency health crisis to deal with in my family that left me and my college-age daughter utterly overwhelmed and depleted, Julia was as compassionate and caring as can be. I really appreciated her kindness as well as having her beautiful place be a safe haven during what unexpectedly ended up being a handful of very stressful days. Thank you very much Julia! 💝

Studio apartment with queen bed and nice kitchen and shower was fine. Back of the building was quiet. Location good. Would stay again

Amazing stay, walking distance to the lake and a few food places and only a short drive to anything else you need or want. The place was spotless with good sized bedrooms and a larger living room/ kitchen than we anticipated. Amazing hosts too. Thank you for making us welcome.
