It can be reached by public transport: buses C30 C31 C32 departing approximately every hour from the Como San Giovanni railway station, Como Lago Ferrovie Nord or from Piazza Matteotti towards Como-Bellagio, take about 8 minutes to reach the Blevio stop - Decorations Savio, about 100 m away from the house. A pleasant alternative to traditional public transport may be the use of Lake Como navigation boats, departing from Piazza Cavour in the direction of Torno, from where walking for about 15 minutes you will reach the destination. I ALLOW ME TO STRONGLY RECOMMEND THE SMALLEST AND CHEAPEST CAR, TO MOVE INDEPENDENTLY, AS IN OUR AREA PUBLIC TRANSPORT AND TAXIS ARE NOT COFORTABLE Villa Pasta The villa was built in the early XIX cen- tury and was bought in 1830 by the famous opera singer Giuditta Pasta hosting space for its several guests. In the park the fol lowing built: the studio painting of Clelia, Giuditta's daughter, who attended the Brera Academy in Milan; the cafe-house, a small cave to cool in the summer; the wooden theater where Giuditta practised singing. Captain Wilhelm Locke, grandson of the famous philosopher, drowned in front of his wife and other guests in the lake area in front of the villa. Later his daughter erected a gravestone in his memory. In the small ceme- tery of Blevio it is possible to visit the grave of Giuditta Pasta who died in 1865.

I was in Varese for work so being a 5 minute walk to the train station was perfect. The house was very spacious, clean, and the hosts were incredible! Very friendly and responsive to messages. It was abnormally hot during my stay due to the weather and they provided me with a fan which was much appreciated. Thanks for a great stay :)

If I could give more than 5 stars I would!! The views are out of this world and the place is spacious, beautiful, and quiet. I will most definitely be coming back. 100% I would highly recommend staying here if you are going to Lake Como. Renting a car is advised, we rented one in Milan and drove.

Denis is very proactive and helped us with finding another accommodation due a mix up of dates on our behalf. Would highly recommend to stay at this lovely apartment.

This place is definitely recommended. The house is very tasteful, spacious and equipped with every comfort. The host Denise and her husband are super friendly. We received a very warm welcome and we received many tips from them for activities in the area. The garden is also lovely. We have gratefully used the table tennis table. In short: a top location.

My stay in Varese was excellent. The house was impeccable — spotless, well-maintained and fully equipped with everything one might need for a comfortable and relaxing stay. The aesthetics of the space exuded warmth and finesse, with attention to the smallest detail. The location was ideal, in a quiet and beautiful neighborhood, with easy access to the center of Varese and to nature. The host was very kind, hospitable and completely available to any of my questions or needs. You feel that real people are waiting for you with passion and respect for the visitor, and that makes all the difference. This is really one of the best houses I've ever stayed in through Airbnb. I highly recommend it and would love to stay here again on my next trip to Italy.

Small natural house on the lake

Beautiful cozy cottage right on Lake Como! We loved our stay here. The kitchen was great and the host provided the first morning essentials (eggs, butter, coffee, yogurt, milk) which was a life saver. We really enjoyed the outdoor shower and the incredible Finnish sauna! We swam off the dock in the lake daily and hung out in the yard with so many beautiful ducks and swans! There are a couple good restaurants within walking distance, but do be aware you have to walk on a busy road to get to the closest town which is Lierna (10 minute walk). We did not have a car and it was not a problem with the ferry and the proximity to town. I highly recommend this place and would book it again in a heartbeat.
