Holiday houses in Defeselle

The house is located in the hills above Agropoli with a wide view of the valley, sometimes to the sea. The surroundings are quiet, you can only hear donkeys & goats. There are also a few small restaurants, delicious. Agropoli is 15 minutes away by car - a car is a must. On the upper floor of the beautiful house there are 2 apartments, we were in the left one, which has the larger terrace. The right was free, so we enjoyed the privacy very much. However, there is a privacy screen between the two terrace parts. The terrace is the heart of the apartment, it is so beautiful that sometimes it is not easy to leave the house at all :) The hosts live in the basement: Angelo is a perfect host, his recommendations are golden and the house is so well thought out that you have absolute privacy. The entire apartment is very clean and well maintained, the cleanest we've ever been in. We are grateful that we were allowed to be guests and would recommend the apartment 100% ❤️

Felice was a great intermediary for Carla. He was extremely helpful and always responded to queries immediately. He even sent us a video of where to go when we got lost. The location was superb, quiet, stunning views and close to everything. Would definitely stay again. Jane and Bill

Beautiful apartment in the historic part of Agropoli, just steps from the castle. Amazing views out the windows, over the rooftops, out to the water. Christian is a wonderful and generous host—he even met us at the train station and drove us to the apartment. The apartment is comfortable, clean, and well-stocked, and is located in a charming part of town. Could not recommend it more highly.

I chose this house for its exceptional view... three balconies overlooking the port of Agropoli... immersed in the historic center and therefore in the beating heart of the town!! Alfonso was very kind to welcome us and gave us all the necessary information. Even now that we are back, we miss his house more than Agropoli... although we also liked the town and the beaches very much!! We will definitely be back!!

Monica was always helpful and kind. Accommodation a few km from Paestum, quiet area. Clean, large with all comforts. Beautiful garden for relaxation. Be great and we definitely recommend it.

Tucked into the hillside above the charming town of Nerano in Massa Lubrense, this beautiful home was an absolute dream. The sweeping views of the bay and surrounding hills were breathtaking—especially from the spacious terrace, where we spent peaceful mornings soaking in the sun. The house itself is wonderfully appointed, with large, comfortable bedrooms and spotless, modern bathrooms. Everything was sparkling clean and thoughtfully maintained. Silvia and Francesco were truly delightful hosts—warm, responsive, and incredibly helpful. They even helped us arrange a fantastic last-minute tour of Amalfi and Positano, which became one of the highlights of our trip. This place felt like a hidden gem, and I’m already dreaming about my return. Highly recommended!

Pros: - Beautiful view (matched the photos), luxurious style, clean and comfortable - Ample high quality amenities - Fair location: Easy 20min walk downhill to reach the main town; OK if walking uphill is not an issue as buses are infrequent and taxis can be pricey Cons: - Check-out time different from stated - Access to private sea closed (end of Apr) - Taxis can't stop directly in front of the building due to the narrow driveway so could be a challenge with large suitcases Highly recommended for a special stay

The accommodation is really a very special gem! Janina, Carmine and Lea are incredibly warm! You make yourself at home straight away! The location is quiet, but at the same time only a few minutes away from the sea, from Agropoli (nice coastal town with historic old town) and Paestum (ancient Greek city with well-preserved temples). Also recommended is the buffalo farm in Paestum, where there is fresh mozzarella and great ice cream. The apartment offers everything you need for a relaxed stay. Particularly noteworthy are the children's room with games and books and the super-equipped kitchen. The property offers a magnificent view of the sea, a swimming pool, a playground and all kinds of animals. There was an abundance of fresh mulberries and lemons from the garden. An absolute recommendation for an authentic, relaxed and family-friendly holiday in southern Italy. Our 5-year-old daughter and we felt very comfortable and will come back!
