Family-friendly holiday rentals in Del Monte Forest

I had a great stay here with my daighter and german shepherd. It was great to have the beach all to ourselves every morning by walking just a block over. The house was beautiful, comfortable, and the greenery outside was wonderful. Would definitely stay again!

You will not regret staying here. Debra and David were so incredibly nice. The house and the outdoors/garden are beautiful. We loved the hot tub being off the master suite and the fact there are no neighbors so it’s incredibly quiet. It’s in a great location near both downtown and the fairgrounds. We can’t wait to return. We might need to add more nights because we had such a fantastic time. Thanks Debra. So great to meet you and David!!

My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We walked to the beach to boogie board, went to the boardwalk and enjoyed the local farmer’s market. The house was amazing and more than we expected. We enjoyed the backyard with all of its amenities including the hot tub and outdoor shower especially after coming back from a day at the beach. Shari was very proactive in her communications and we are looking forward to coming back again for a longer visit.

Julia’s house was perfect. Very clean, well decorated, but not cluttered. It has everything you could need for cooking. It is a very comfortable place to stay.

Loved our tranquil stay here!! The space was super close to downtown Aptos and many hiking spots which made it easy to go in and out. The scenery is absolutely breathtaking and everything we hoped for on our quick getaway. Would stay again!

The cottage was exactly as described. It was very clean, tastefully decorated, and functional. The beach is within walking distance, and there is an ocean view when you stand on the street. The location is superb, situated conveniently between the Monterey Peninsula and Santa Cruz. There are many excellent restaurants within a 15-minute drive. Despite its proximity to these attractions, the area remains peaceful and relaxing.

⸻ I had such a wonderful two-week stay at the farm. From the moment I arrived, everyone was incredibly friendly—especially the sweet little black cat named Teva, who wore a green collar and quickly became a favorite companion. Toni was so kind and responsive, always making sure everything was just right. The farm felt very safe and peaceful throughout my stay. Being in a cabin on a farm, a few bugs are to be expected, but it wasn’t an issue—I came prepared with essential oils, which worked well to keep them at bay. The cabin itself is cozy and compact, but the many windows let in so much natural light that it felt bright and open. The shower was great too—good water pressure and ventilation, though it might be a bit snug for some. Overall, it’s a lovely little escape—close enough to San Jose for convenience, but with a feeling of peaceful seclusion that makes it feel like a true retreat.

Sean's cottage is an absolute delight, we moved in as though it was our own home. Worth reading previous reviews mentioning building works next door. As we were prepared for this (they started 8am promptly Mon-Fri), also ants (which didn't show up) and the racoon in the bins (which did show up) none of this was an issue, and was reflected in the reduced rental. Sean was an excellent host, replied speedily to any queries, including calling a plumber for a minor problem. The cottage is the most homely of places, there's everything you could need, the kitchen is generously equipped and the beds are very comfortable. The pretty patio is full of flowers and birds. Since it was April, we were not outside in the evenings, but it seems noise is an issue with neighbours. There are polite but firm notices requesting no outside noise after 9pm which could be difficult on hot summer evenings. This was one of our favourite Airbnbs, the location is fabulous, so much to do, we were busy all the time

We came to Monterey for a wedding and were lucky to stay in this beautiful house for an extended weekend. It’s the cleanest and best-stocked Airbnb I’ve ever stayed in. The kitchen is huge and has every gadget or accessory you might need—and it’s stocked with thoughtful extras like popcorn, s'mores supplies and coffee. The 4th bedroom is a little unique, but it worked perfectly for our group. It’s downstairs and isn’t accessible from inside the main house. You reach it by going down the steep driveway and a few stairs. It’s easy to find once you know it’s there, but challenging for someone with mobility issues. I spent about 5 minutes searching the top floor for it before calling the property manager—who was incredibly friendly & responsive. Everything was spotless, and the location is super convenient. We wish we had more time to enjoy the house, but we were busy celebrating with family and friends from around the world. We’ll definitely stay here again next time we visit Monterey!

We had a wonderful stay at this charming one-bedroom flat in Carmel! Everything was exactly as described - clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully arranged. The space had a warm, cozy feel and plenty of natural light. The flat was very unique - tucked away in a downtown alleyway past some restaurant outdoor seating to a private courtyard and stone staircase leading to the door, straight out of a romace movie. The location is the best you could ask for to enjoy downtown Carmel, just steps away from great restaurants, art galleries, and boutique shops . We loved starting our mornings with coffee on the private patio and opening the front windows for the cool morning breeze. The host was friendly, responsive, and made check-in extremely simple for us. If you’re looking for a peaceful and extremely functional place to stay in Carmel with easy access to everything the area has to offer, I highly recommend this adorable downtown flat. I would absolutely stay here again!

We had such a lovely stay here! The home is beautiful, and our kiddos (2 yo and 4 yo) just love it here as well. We had so much fun eating family dinners on the patio outside, and we also loved watching the sunsets (and the fog roll in) on the front deck. We try to come out to Carmel once a year and this is our second time staying at Holly’s home. We look forward to staying here again for our next trip!

We had the pleasure of staying at Anna's Vineyard House in mid-June 2025 with two of our adult children, and it truly exceeded our expectations. This hidden gem was a perfect retreat—spacious, beautifully designed, and incredibly peaceful, with breathtaking views in every direction. One of our favorite moments was gathering around the outdoor gas firepit in the evenings, reminiscing about old memories while creating new ones together as a family. We also enjoyed taking scenic walks around the vineyard, spotting condors and rabbits along the way—it felt like something out of a nature film. If you're looking for a quiet, restorative escape with serene mornings and evenings, yet still within easy reach (just 30 minutes) of Pebble Beach and Monterey Bay, Anna’s Vineyard House is exactly where you want to be. We can’t wait to return.

Staying at Alexandra's was perfect! Traveling with our senior dog we had the comfort and space to enjoy a getaway! The neighborhood was very peaceful, walkable, and had a view of Monterey. Alexandra's space was filled with all the amenities we needed to feel right at home, we utilized the kitchen and made some seafood pasta! Alexandra's description of the space was exactly as described, and we highly recommend!

This neighborhood is safe and peaceful. We have stayed at The Dunes numerous times over the last 4 years. Lisa’s home is beautiful and inviting. We all felt very comfortable and relaxed. It is such a gorgeous area and the staff at the front gate is always so helpful too. I had to reach out to Lisa multiple times throughout our stay and each time her responses were quick and respectful. It was a delight to chat with her and we are definitely planning to come back and would rent this home again.

A recent stay at Robert’s home in Ben Lomond was exceptional. The property felt like home from the pictures on the wall to the books in the bookcase. The fully equipped kitchen, comfortable beds and toiletries was like walking into our personal family vacation home with everything clean and organized. Upon our arrival, we contacted the owner to let them know we arrived. We enjoyed a welcoming orientation of the property. The location was ideal with convenient access to stores and restaurants. We could not have selected a better place to enjoy quality family time and celebrate a graduation from UC Santa Cruz. This was a super stay and gets our highest recommendation.

We had a wonderful short getaway at Sue’s place! The condo is just steps from the beach, pool, and jacuzzi. Falling asleep to the sound of the waves was relaxing, and the ocean breeze was very refreshing. It was exactly what we needed to reset and recharge. Everything was just as described, and we would stay here again! Thank you, Sue!

We had a lovely stay here! The home is well located- easy to visit Santa Cruz and not far to Monterey- there’s also a beach accessible via a short trail next to the house. We enjoyed the view from the roof and the quiet, beautiful garden. Himani was incredibly responsive and quick to help with anything we needed (ie turning on the hot tub and checking in to see if we needed any support throughout our stay). Our little family had a great time enjoying the home and surrounding area and would definitely recommend!

We were in town for a weekend of trail racing and Valentina's place was perfect. It was less than a mile from our event at Toro Park and on a nice, quiet street. The place was very comfortable and the outdoor area was excellent for recovery and relaxing on Saturday. The beds were comfy and there was plenty of room for 5 of us. Valentina was very responsive throughout the entire process, I really appreciated her. Great place to stay!

Thank you so much Rhea for allowing my family to enjoy this gem! The reviews spoke about the views but wow, incredible! You can literally see up the coast line on both sides. The condo was clean, had enough to accommodate a family of five! We were able to cook our meals every night without a problem. The pool is just a few steps up which my youngest definitely appreciated. We are already missing waking up to the sounds of the ocean! If we’re ever in the area we would be so lucky to book this place again.
