Children are welcome but due to unfenced dams, it is may not be suitable for younger children (under 6). Relax in peaceful surroundings amongst the karris & the gum trees. Blue wrens & kangaroos are plentiful & often emus! - perfect surroundings to relax & unwind. Close by to vineyards,walks & other tourist attractions.

We had the most cosy and relaxing winter weekend away. It was everything we hoped for and more. Every morning we woke to the stunning views of Kalgan Hills and sat outside in awe while cooking up our breakfast on the BBQ. We Face timed the kids at home while we fed the Horse and Lama the carrots which Sharon kindly provided for us in our fridge. After a huge day exploring some of the beautiful sites Albany has to offer we came home to run a lovely hot spa to help loosen our sore aching muscles. And on our last night we sat outside and lit the fire watching peacefully with a cheese platter and a beautiful glass of Shiraz we purchased from Singlefile Wines in Denmark earlier that day, finishing off the night with toasted marshmallows. It was honestly pure bliss and I highly recommend this place to any couples looking for a cosy, quiet & romantic trip away. Sharon was a fantastic host to us and extremely helpful. We thank you so very much for your hospitality Sharon 🙏

The Pouch is an absolutely must stay for anyone seeking solitude & calm. We stayed as a fam of 4 here and thoroughly enjoyed every moment. From being in nature and seeing birds and kangaroos to just disconnecting from our gadgets and being present — it was what the tired mind & body truly needed. I hope to be able to be back again some day.

We had certain criteria we wanted in our mini getaway and Rachel’s Pula Cottage exceeded our expectations. It’s beautifully decorated and all the little touches made us feel right at home, our dog Billy had the best time exploring and playing with Plum. It was so relaxing sitting on the verandah just admiring the views from all parts of the property…we look forward to visiting again😊, thank you Rachel & Jeremy.

We had a lovely stay at Stewart and Marlene's place, using it as a base to explore Denmark, Albany and Mt Barker. Very clean and peaceful with all the basics you'll need. Loved having the Bibbulmun track come through the property. Would recommend the walk to Ocean Beach lookout or even into Denmark. Thanks for having us Marlene and Stewart!

Absolutely beautiful location, tranquil spot to relax. We had a long weekend for 2, most of our time spent sitting in front of the fireplace and staring the surroundings (we know Denmark well, so we're just there to unwind). We made quick friends with the local birds & even saw some kangaroos. The 'house manual' was a little daunting, but everything was pretty straightforward. Plus, Jane provided great info, and was always quick to respond. As mentioned by others, the main bed is small...I mean, we aren't tiny people...but it definitely was cosy. Oh and great water pressure! (which we weren't necessarily expecting). Lovely stay... would recommend 😊
