Quirky cottage completely renovated using as many recycled materials as possible with some special touches. Recycled materials were used from The Art Deco Mayfair threatre in Kaikoura. Also materials used from The Adelphi Hotel built in 1918. Kitchen custom made out of recycled cross arms off power polls and various other native timbers. Little Melrose cottage is the gatekeepers cottage to the Melrose homestead (circa 1907) The location is perfect for a leisurly walk to the town centre (20 mins) and the Museum, art Gallery and information centre (also 20 mins) there are many bars and cafes and supermarket within 10 minutes walking. Although small and compact, the cottage is equipped with oven, microwave, stovetop and washing machine. It is perfect for couples, solo travellers or those travelling for buisness.
