Silverstar Barn is located on 10 acres just 3 miles south of Watertown on blacktop road. It is approximately 150 feet from our residence. Rest assure that you will be left alone to enjoy your extended or weekend getaway. We have just completed remodeling the other half of the barn turning it onto another rental. Silver star Stables has it's own entrance and both units have there own patio doors, one facing east, the other west for private outdoor seating. Both units have there own grill as well.

Our cabin is nestled in a wooded area & is very private. 15 minutes from 3 different towns with Wadena being the biggest. There's a queen bed on the main floor bedroom and a queen bed in the loft bedroom. WIFI/ cable television are available. Can sleep with the windows open or use the air conditioning. Outdoor pets are welcome, no pets inside please. You will have a view of the pond & we see deer on a daily basis. We will supply bedding, bath towels, cooking utensils, plates, cups & silverware.

The Maynard Cabin, a Civil War era log cabin

The Maynard Log Cabin was erected by a homesteader after the civil war. We have moved and restored it and made it available for rent. It is off the grid, but it has a complete functioning kitchen, wood stove and sitting room downstairs. There are two antique beds with new mattresses upstairs. There is no electricity but the cabin is furnished with kerosene lanterns. The bathroom facilities consist of wash basins and outhouse. The cabin is surrounded by 40 acres of woods and meadows.

Lakehome easy to find. Smooth check-in. Plenty of parking with 4 vehicles and a boat. The place is neat and clean with comfy beds/linens. We love the deck on the 2nd level,it has beautiful view if the lake. We have everything we needed. It was a fun, memorable weekend. We will definitely comeback. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful last minute stay at Susan’s property in Ortonville. We were impressed with the space and especially the cleanliness. There were little touches that were helpful and made us feel right at home. The coffee bar was a treat. We loved the location, which was across the street from Big Stone Lake. We spent our evenings watching the sun go down over the lake while sitting in the park on the shore of Big Stone Lake. It was easy to walk into town. We ate at Headwaters Grill & Bar twice as the food was good and well prepared. We especially liked the Auto Tour in Big Stone Wildlife Refuge, a wonderful place to see birds. Susan’s property was right where we wanted to be and we found it to be even better than anticipated. We would definitely stay here again.

I can't say enough about how beautiful the grounds are. Our puppy enjoyed the spacious outdoors even more than we did. The house bas plenty of space and was cozy. Its close to town and getting deliveries from restaurants and grocery stores was easy. The only thing i recommend is bringing some water as the well water isn't the greatest for cooking and drinking. Great, responsive, host. I 100% would stay here again!
