House holiday rentals in Downtown San Diego

I am a San Diego local, but my family was coming to town and we needed more space. I picked this place because I knew my sister and brother-in-law would love being able to walk to all the restaurants and brewery nearby and my 6 year old nephew would get a lot of use out of the pool. The place exceeded my expectations, it was perfect for everyone. We spent a lot of time in the backyard swimming or playing board games, and my Mom got a lot of use out of the hot tub. Communication with the host was excellent and the place was comfortable and clean. The only downside is my family might visit too often now!

Our home away from home. The property was conveniently located to major stores. It is 30 minutes to the San Diego Zoo, Birch Aquarium, and Sesame Street. The house is very spacious and brings in light energy. Our family loved the beds and comfy pillows which can make or break a vacation. The bathrooms were spacious and worked conveniently with the needs of our family, especially the Bluetooth speaker😁. The backyard was our favorite! Beautiful space during the day with plenty of space for our 3 year old to run. Serene and chill views in the evening. We 100% recommend this property for your family. And would definitely stay again.

Stay at Katri’s was great. Had delicious cookies waiting for us when we checked in, which was a breeze. House was spacious and entire lot was very big. Pool was great and even after we had told them that no heated pool would be necessary, Mother Nature had a different idea and gave us some more than unexpected chilly weather, so they had no problem throwing the heater on for us. Freeway in the background was hardly a noise problem for us personally. Just far enough that it didn’t affect us, and was nice to see what our morning commute was going to be like. Brought two dogs with the group that absolutely loved everything (after one of them finally got over his fear of the staircase). All in all a great stay in a great neighborhood. Cant comment more how quickly they responded to us in the days leading up to the trip, and while we were there. Great hosts!

Great location and the house had everything we needed. beautiful home, nice decoration and really nice view from the jacuzzi.

This has been one of the best places we’ve ever stayed! Jing‘s place was impeccable and she went above and beyond to welcome us! She’s amazing!! We came to fresh cut flowers, fresh baked cookies, fruit, and a refrigerator with assorted beverages! It was so welcoming!!She even went out and bought a box fan just in case we needed it! Everything in the house was clean and tastefully decorated, and it’s all quality furnishings!! She also let us check out later due to our flight schedule!! Wish we could give more than 5 stars!! We have stayed in many different types of homes both good and bad. But, I’ve gotta say “This one has been BY FAR, THE BEST”!! The view as well as the house is absolutely amazing. The design of the home is gorgeous. The house was extremely clean and the beds were very comfortable. I must mention the squatty potties and bidet’s in the bathrooms… SUPERB!! Before booking my reservation, I asked Van if I could have my family and friends (about 10 people) come over after a graduation ceremony and he said yes. He even accommodated us with extra tables and chairs. My friends and family all loved the place. Van always replied to my messages no matter the time of day or night. There was a hiccup with the fire alarms in the house which was completely out of Van’s control, but he handled it well. He personally appeared to resolve the issue. Meeting Van in person did not disappoint. He is as nice in person as he is in messages. We are definitely going to come back.

Silka's listing is located a healthy walking distance from the Ocean Beach strip and the beach. it's around. I personally recommend walking so you don't have to worry about parking. Ocean Beach combines the sandy charm of beach culture with a small town kind of vibe that's super refreshing and having a place to stay so close to it was very special. Be warned, if you came for San Diego, you will be charmed by Ocean Beach instead! however, much of San Diego's main attractions are short drives away from Silka's listing. I look forward to staying with her again!

Kim's place was perfect - just what we needed. We needed a dog-friendly, quiet place where I could work and easily access the freeway (my sister was having a baby, so needed to be able to move around quickly). Kim, was incredibly flexible with check-in and very responsive. Her place is pretty, clean, just as described with all the amenities you might need. It's a short walk/drive to food, coffee, groceries, and friendly people. Kim went above and beyond when in the chaos of leaving for work, I left my toiletries behind (including my retainers and some jewelry). Kim was next level - she went to the AirBnB to personally check for my things and then circled back a few times with her cleaning crew to reunite me with my much needed dental tools. Oh, and did I mention how incredibly comfortable the bed is - it was like sleeping on a cloud. I highly recommend her place.

This home was amazing! Great location and easy walking distance to many local attractions including Balboa Park, the zoo, little Italy, the gas lamp district, Petco Park and downtown. We were lucky enough to meet Manuel. He showed us the home and shared many great tips and stories about the local area. It made for a very special experience. He also provided a well written guide with lots of recommendations and tips. The house is very nice, well decorated and comfortable bedding. Even though the home is located near the airport and a busy road, the noise level was nonexistent. The home is equipped with sound dampening materials and extra thick windows. It was very quiet. We had a terrific time and I enjoyed staying there. I would definitely stay here again! Thank you Manuel!!

I stayed here for the Rock n Roll Marathon and it was the best location for my family to be able to walk 2 min and greet me mid race. Loved the place and everything was close!

The moment we walked in the door, we felt right at home! The serene instrumental music in the background in addition to the thoughtful card and bottle of wine was the perfect touch. The house was spotless and had everything we needed. It was also in a great location! Highly recommend Tim's home!

Super 5,star hosts. , kind, generous, theyv went the extra mile for us. The hot tub was a great amenity , so thankful for it. . We primarily used our casita as a refuge for us after nine hours out and about spending time with our family who lived near. We slept well them. We were busy spending time with our family that live locally and we’re gone 9 to 10 hours a day for a whole week.A great location very close to our family so we could spend quality time with our three granddaughters.

Daniel's San Diego home was an absolute dream come true for our family of six! It far surpassed all our expectations and stands out as our best Airbnb experience to date. The amenities were simply amazing – the game room, movie theater, pool, and spa provided endless fun and relaxation for everyone. Daniel was also incredibly responsive whenever we had questions. We genuinely hope to stay here again on our next visit to San Diego!

This was by far the best Airbnb experience I’ve ever had. The cottage is elegantly but comfortable decorated, linens high quality, kitchen well equipped, bathroom well designed with plenty of counter space for a small room. A heated toilet seat and bidet were appreciated! The entire property is beautifully landscaped and the little garden in back is serene. The overall design and layout are like something out of Architectural Digest. We will definitely stay here again when we are back in the area.

Sergio is such a great host! We truly appreciated Sergio's quick responses to our inquiries. There are air conditioners for living room and kitchen. The bedrooms both had fans. We'd definitely stay here again next time we're in San Diego. Mahalo!

This was a great place to stay. It’s super nice, was very clean, and the living space in general was very comfortable and felt like home. The Little Italy area was perfect—lots of great restaurants and a fun area to walk around. The place is also super close to a trolley stop, so can very easily get into the downtown area without driving/ubering. We stayed here and took the trolley right to the convention center for a conference. There are two beds which can each sleep two people comfortably. I think otherwise you’re looking at the couch/air mattress. We only had 3 people so this wasn’t an issue. Only things I would change about the place would be an included parking space and earlier check in time.

We really enjoyed our stay! The casita was clean, nicely decorated, and had a great yard for our dog. The home was close to beaches, restaurants, and everything we wanted to do. We appreciated the driveway parking and the fact that Alex was easy to communicate with and allowed us to check in early. The airplane noise is noticeable so I’d recommend headphones/ear plugs to get to sleep. Thanks for a lovely stay!

Ryder was a great host. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay there and felt right at home. I would recommend this to anyone looking to stay in Pacific Beach and explore a true highlight of San Diego!

Robs place was very cozy and suited my wife 3 year old and myself quite nicely. The location is great for a La Jolla trip, downtown and the San Diego zoo. It fit our needs perfectly and their jacuzzi is the nicest one my wife and I have seen (we usually prioritize jacuzzis for our stay). They were polite and even accommodated a 2 hour earlier check in for us as we had our 3 year old with us and they get fiesty 😂. Thank you to everybody associated with this location, it was amazing

We had a great time at Ted’s place. Great location, within walking distance to many great restaurants and parks. The place was very clean and comfortable and he even had snacks and wine ready for us, which was a nice touch.
