Holiday rentals with outdoor seating in Dumfries

One of the best AirBnBs I have stayed at recently. A beautiful cottage with a large well maintained garden that my 2 dogs are loving. Carole welcomed us on arrival and has been on hand if we needed. We have everything we need with plenty local walks and a clean, comfortable home to come home to.

Lovely quaint cottage, both beds extremely comfortable, shower pressure great! Quiet rural location. Unfortunately the weather didn’t favour our planned hiking in the area but it means we will return.

Perfect location. 10/10. I did not want to leave. Comfortable bed, well equipped kitchen, unbelievable views, superb location, easy access to logs for fire with which my husband was delighted. 100% would return... tomorrow if it was possible! Our dog (border terrier) had a fantastic time too and was very interested in the wee hedgehog who appeared to be living in the bushes outside and the free range chickens!! There was also a free range doggo popping round to the garden in the evening. Vigilance/ Lead/ supervision was a must for our super inquisitive pup.

Carmen is a super host, we absolutely loved the home from home home feel. My little boy who is 2 years of age settled to sleep well in the childrens room (this tells me he felt safe in the cottage). The roku stick was available to use and worked easily. The trail at the side if the house has beautiful waterfalls to view and a few stopping spots for those who need to go a little slower/steady or have children. We experienced no issues at all with our stay. Thank you Carmen we will definitely be back again.

The property provided generous accommodation for 5 in a quiet neighbourhood. The host was welcoming, proactive and responsive. In short, we had a very pleasant stay!

Superhost doesn't capture it. It was such a pleasure to stay at The Byre and lovely to meet Victoria. We can clearly say it was the best Air BnB experience we've ever had. Such care must have gone into the renovation and furnishing of the property, from the large airy upstairs kitchen/diner/living room to the handcrafted live edge furniture. The location in Matterdale End was beautiful. We were even able to go fellwalking directly from the house - just a few feet up to the church, then left onto the public footpath and on up to the top of Sheffield Pike and many more summits from there. We can recommend this Air BnB venue wholeheartedly. Thank you Victoria and Jim!

Amazing stay for birthday with friends. Best Airbnb I have stayed at and best hosts by far! Great peaceful weekend in the country and nothing was a problem even when we decided to add a few of the extras during our stay the guys sorted it with a quick message. Can’t wait to get back and stay again.

The silo is fantastic much better in real life than the photos. Much more spacious in real life. A real luxurious place to stay. 100% privacy and respect given at all time. Linda was so helpful and also let us know she was only a call away. She even popped up to help my now wife into her wedding dress so I couldn't see it until she was ready. Linda is so helpful and cheerful and made us feel so welcome. Any couples wanting to get married at Gretna Green this is the ideal spot. The views are idyllic and calming and peaceful. Hot tub easy to use. Everything provided that you could possibly need. Everything is spotlessly clean and of high quality. If we could give it 100 out of 10 we certainly would. Simply a perfect stay at Tann's place - the space has everything you need and I love the Hadrian's Wall theme. Check in instructions probably the most comprehensive I've seen on AirBnB and Tann was professional and kind with all comms. Thank you for a lovely stay - this will definitely be my first choice if I'm ever in the area again

Really nice location, 5 minute walk from town. Was a really lovely stay despite the weather we had, lots of maps and walking guides in the front room and the kitchen came fully equipped with stuff to wash up.Our only recommendation would be to exchange the pillows for firmer ones. Thanks Alan for our fantastic stay 👍🏼🙌🏼.

This was a great find. Alison has catered for every little detail - experience built up over many years. The generosity of the welcome hamper and milk in the fridge was really appreciated. We had two excellent evening meals at the Milecastle Inn and would thoroughly recommend, as Alison had.

Rachel and Michael went out of their way to be kind and helpful. The space is beautifully proportioned and laid out with just about everything you could want for a trip away. It is up a long lane from the road, (a well maintained lane) but that is fine and part of the charm. It would be ideal for a romantic weekend away, though as a female on my own I felt safe and reassured that the owners were close by but never intrusive. My young spaniel enjoyed our walks with Rachel and her dogs down the lane. The Workshop Cottage even has it's designated parking spot, and small garden area, and a bench in the sunshine to admire the view. This is a stunning, unique and slightly quirky bit of paradise at a very reasonable price. I would book again in a flash if I needed to visit the Lakes again.

This bijpu bedsit is perfect for a single person. Peaceful and private, and with everything I needed. The bed was really comfortable, and the whole place was immaculately clean. I was really happy to see environmental measures in place. The location is perfect - spot on for accessing this part of the Lakes, with so many beautiful spots within easy driving distance. Kath's communications were clear and friendly and fast. I would recommend this accommodation and its owners without hesitation.

The Granary was a lovely spot to stay and chill. Great amenities in the property and lovely and peaceful. Nice touches including the food for the birds! Highly recommend.

The apartment is located in a lovely area next to the Tweed with beautiful views from the window. We took 2 dogs with us who had a great time! Terry and Aimee are very friendly and welcoming, nothing is too much trouble for them. Appartment modern, comfortable and clean with all the equipment you need. Would highly recommend.

Lovely little bolthole, incredible location in the heart of the village. You’re a minute walk away from most of the restaurants, pubs and sights. Getting checked in was super easy and the place was spotless, thank you Nia!

The property was a home from home. It was absolutely beautiful with an amazing garden and view. The property had everything we needed. The hosts communication was clear and proactive leaving no uncertainty about what to expect. The surrounding area is beautiful and the property itself very peaceful. Would definately stay again.

The Barn really is a gem. We were amazed as we arrived how beautiful and peaceful the surroundings were. Kate gave clear instructions how to get there which was really helpful as we found other times on our trip the sat nav led us astray! The barn is so cosy and beautifully furnished, you can tell it’s been done with love and is stylish but very practical too. Had everything we needed for our weekend stay. After a wet day out walking coming back to a hot shower and putting on the wood burner was amazing! We loved our stay and would absolutely come back.

Had a nice stay, the apartment was cosy and clean and well situated on the main road, although sometimes one can face issues in finding a free parking spot directly in front but that is not a deal breaker as the neighbouring street has a free parking lot. We totally appreciated all the goodies Ana left for us , was very responsive , we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her place.

The place was so nice and perfect for our needs. As a family, the facilities were a great addition, such as pool, pub onsite, games etc! The apartment was perfect for kids as it had games and other things such as highchair and cot. The view was lovely and terrace huge!

This is the perfect getaway if you want friendly hosts, beautiful and peaceful surroundings, and clean and comfortable accommodation. Julie and Paul are brilliant hosts, making us feel welcome and at home straight away. The accommodation had everything we needed (including a cork screw for the bottle of wine!). The shower was excellent, the bed was comfortable, and the kitchen was well equipped. Highly recommended!

Beck View is a beautiful apartment in an idyllic setting. The beck that runs past is fast flowing and surrounded by Kim’s well landscaped garden. We were able to sit in our terrace watching the water in the morning light , or move into the garden for sun later in the day. The apartment is everything you need and. Dry well maintained and presented. We loved the retro-looking fridge and funky furniture. Kim was helpful and knowledgeable, often around if we had any questions. Walks fro the door into the forest, and a short drive to lots of fabulous walks - and/or a swim in Bassenthwaite! Highly recommended! Thank you Kim
