Family-friendly holiday rentals in Dunes City

Greatest host and house I could have hoped for, especially considering how last minute it was. They went above and beyond to make the stay as wonderful as possible, and easy for all of us. Extremely polite, and proactive. This place feels more like a home than a rental, and it’s easy to feel like you’re staying with family (that you like)! It’s beautiful inside and out. So much to do in the house, you might not actually leave, and they have everything you need and more available. Easily my first choice next time I’m looking to go back. 100/10 stars. Do yourself the favor of staying here.

Sweet little cottage with great ocean views. Located on a narrow gravel road with very little traffic, felt private and secure. 101 runs right behind the property but did not notice any highway noise inside the cottage. Had a great time exploring the tide pools and walking the beach. Be sure to check out the cool shops on 101 in SEAL ROCK. Also, a must- Pacific Sourdough, a few blocks off 101 in Waldport for wonderful varieties of sourdough, pastries, and desserts. Thank you, Ruth. Will look forward to returning!

This home was beautiful and inviting from the second we walked through the door. AMAZING VIEW!!! Puppy friendly (fully fenced with the exception of a small area on the south side of the yard), and just a few minutes walk to the beach. Super responsive host. We hope to come back again soon!!

We were struggling to find a place that would accommodate 6 guests, Luckily we found Audrey! She was very nice and communicative from the start and the space was a great place to stay. It was very cozy but still spacious with a very cute little kitchen that had everything we needed. Everything was very clean and comfortable and the hot tub was an awesome bonus!

The place and Jacuzzi was great. The fence for the yard needs a couple sections replaced. Would have been great to have had a BBQ. As we were leaving we found a charcoal BBQ. In a location guests don’t go. Would have been nice to have a propane BBQ, they are safer. The place was quiet and relaxing.

Really enjoyed the stay. Pictures and description matched the house and setting. Right on the coast, with a great view of the ocean from the house and the hot tub. Very dog friendly. Quiet, not a busy beach, and easy drive to Waldport for essentials, Yachats was just down the road. Great location

This lake house was the perfect getaway from the busy life of a business owner. Me and my husband were truly in heaven. The house was very clean with all the amenities you could ask for. We will definitely be back.

This place was a peaceful haven for us after a very busy day. It was in a gorgeous secluded location, and felt very homey and welcoming. The host was extremely helpful and responsive. The listing and photos are very accurate, and we found everything to be just flat out easy, comfortable, and convenient. Will be staying here again!

This was our second time staying at this house and my family all agrees that when it comes to value you really can't do better than this place! Though it could use a little updating and TLC (our 8-year old daughter got quite a few splinters from the deck and the railing) the location is great - easy access to the beach, It's pet-friendly, clean and comfortable. The house had everything we needed for a comfortable stay Wally is very responsive and friendly. We've already booked our next stay here.

We loved our stay at the Sky Candy located at the Drift Inn! We enjoyed the charm of staying in one of our favorite small coastal towns with all you’d expect from above and beyond lodging. Stand outs include: Exceptional cleanliness of the room, walkability to coffee shops and restaurants (especially the Drift Inn’s restaurant which we love), comfortable beds and linens, quick and easy communication with the host, streamlined check in and check out process and detailed touches like linens for dogs. We came here with our two dogs and it felt very dog friendly - several bathroom spots for pups are accessible around the property. We definitely will be back :)

The house was in a location that was private and easy to get to town for groceries. Views from the house to the ocean were fantastic. The house itself has a lot of stairs which can be a problem for those with ambulatory challenges. Waldport is a quiet town and less touristy, which we appreciated. We loved our 8 day stay there. We also appreciated Jon's flexibility in allowing us to reschedule at the last minute due to a family situation that arose.

Thank you for the cozy stay and thoughtful hospitality. The location was great for walking and seeing the town our first time there. We enjoyed the art, plants, books, and history the apartment held, making it feel like a place of respite and an intergenerational celebration of beauty, resourcefulness, and care.

This is our 4th time stopping over at the PNW Loft on our annual migrations between California and British Columbia. It's a real plus to land in a spot that we know will have everything we need, and where our stuff will be safe, and especially where we know our cat feels comfortable!

This is the second time we've stayed here. Nothing beats the view. The house is just as described. The little neighbor lady below the house is adorable and her yard is beautiful as well. It was a fun trip!

Eugene was great in communication and she even came to greet us when we arrived. the place is spacious and clean. The beds are comfortable with clean linen. They even have a fully fenced- in backyard that we can let our dogs run around. Of course, we made sure that they didn't get into the garden and we picked up after our dogs. Overall, it is a good value. Thank you, Eugene and your crew!

Close to beach. Large house with plenty of room for a family to spread out. Dog friendly yard. (as in fenced and accessible by side door). Plenty of cookware, and a sink with a disposal which is handy.

Great homey and welcoming house. The view of the ocean was amazing. Great place to explore the coast north and south. House had everything we needed. Comfy beds! Thank you for letting us experience a wonderful setting on the coast!

Great vacation spot, walkable to the beach and the bay. Family friendly and an overall great experience.

My family and I stayed here for the weekend to celebrate my moms 50th birthday. The house was huge with plenty of space for everyone, did not feel overcrowded. The only issues we had was the microwave was out of order ( didn't know this until after we arrived) made heating up food challenging. 2nd is some of the beds were too firm which made it uncomfortable to sleep on. Overall 5 stars, the location was great, a short distance to the beach and plenty of space for everyone, would stay here again!

The place was very nice- bigger than the pictures make it look and very well stocked with linens, games, toys, and kitchen things. We had a minor issue and they offered to send someone out the same day (which we didn’t need but appreciated). The only watchout is the dune in front of the house down to the beach is much steeper than it looks, so we had to walk a few houses down for beach access with kids- not a dealbreaker but not a straight shot walkout if you were expecting that.

This place is incredible. You won't find a better spot. The backyard is sand dunes that lead to the Pacific Ocean, and, to what feels like, a private beach. This is especially perfect for one or multiple families. Six bunkbeds and lots of toys and a play area for small children. Our kids had an absolute blast! You'll love this spot, and Claudia is super responsive to any needs that may arise :)

Lauren’s place is beautiful and in a beautiful location. So easy to walk into the town or to the beach on the estuary. Yachats is one of our favourite towns on the coast and Lauren’s is now one of our favourite places to stay.
