Monthly Rentals in Earl Sterndale

We had such a wonderful stay at the bakehouse. It’s clear this is this is a much loved family retreat, not an Airbnb that cares only about the margins and provides the bare minimum. The house is so well appointed: it makes it so easy to self cater when there is everything you could possibly need. Homemade pizza at dusk on the terrace listening to the birdsong was a highlight for us: how wonderful to have a pizza oven! We were also very grateful for the amount of items available for our baby which meant we could travel light. The hosts provided a very helpful manual and were responsive to any questions. It’s an ideal base to explore so many beautiful places close by and we certainly hope to return.

Great spot in a lovely village. This was a great base for our weekend in the area as a family of 2 adults and 2 children. The house was much bigger than I thought it would be based on the photos! There would be plenty of room if there were 6 people staying. Great kitchen with all the pans, crockery etc needed. Nice view out the back, there is a shared yard with a picnic bench you can use. There is a great park just a short walk from the house which our children enjoyed. Beds very comfortable. Would stay again.

Absolutely loved our stay here! Such a gorgeous cottage which had everything we needed- we felt right at home. The perfect base for exploring the Peak District!

Very clean and tidy with breathtaking scenery, nestled in the countryside which we loved, perfect for a couple with a dog like us. The goodies provided on arrival were a wonderful touch. Longnor is a walkable distance away and has cafes, pubs, and a small shop.
