Little Halcyon is located in the Anchorage area, West Mersea. Just a short stroll from the beach, local pubs, restaurants and the village. It is a cosy, self contained, newly renovated annexe in 2021 with it's own private entrance and off street parking. Inside you have a sitting room with a sofa, dining table and a Smart TV. The kitchen area has a hob, combi microwave, kettle, toaster and full sized fridge. It has a separate bedroom with a King size bed and a bathroom with a walk in shower.

With a private garden, hot tub, wood burner & the beach less than a 10 minute walk away. Beautiful Period Fisherman's Cottage

Anchor cottage, an Historic Home and now with EV charger, is a delightful period, cottage situated in the heart of The Anchorage, once known as Mersea City on Mersea Island. It has three bedrooms, a large double, a twin room and a downstairs single bedroom. The bathroom is on the ground floor and large sitting/dining room with a gas heater and provides plenty of space for five people indoors and there is a private, wrap around garden with BBQ area that enjoys the sun at most times of the day.

Apple Tree Cottage has been owned by our family for many years. We were born and brought up on the wonderful Mersea Island. We now welcome you to share our love of Mersea Island by staying in our Cottage. Apple Tree Cottage is a 1930s detached property with parking for 3 big cars or 4 little cars in a prime anchorage location; being 3 minutes from the water’s edge. The cottage offers numerous treasures enabling you to enjoy all this unique Island can offer for a perfect British Seaside Stay

Bromans, great Seaside walks and restaurants.

Bromans Barn is on Mersea Island beside a lovely Nature Reserve which rolls down to the sea where the seals bask. It is a romantic cottage for two with an elegant mix of ecological build and sympathetic historical renovation. Bromans is impressively spacious but also very cosy and relaxing. The sun streams in through the many windows and in the evening there is a cosy wood burning stove to enjoy. We welcome guests with a bottle of wine and biscuits to help them unwind. 2 Dogs Welcome

Cottage on the beach

With its own beachside garden and breathtaking uninterrupted views of the wildest of Essex creeks and marshes, the cottage is only to be reached on foot atop a sea wall. The perfect retreat from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The last in a row of westerly facing cottages, perfect to watch the evening sun go down . From the front garden or even laying in bed, watch the tide slip in and out, the fishing boats come and go and live, for a while, in a world moving at a slower pace.

Now with super-fast Fibre Max internet, The Beach House is situated on the Essex Sunshine Coast, right on the bank of a tidal creek with stunning views of the sea in front and the river behind. Being in the Nature Reserve, we cannot accept dogs or pets of any kind; sorry. We do not let to groups; we only let to families or two couples maximum. Absolutely no groups of more than four guests or parties of any kind. High tide sometimes cuts off the house so please be aware of this.

Self Contained Studio in Wivenhoe

Tuck away next to the Wivenhoe woods (upper Wivenhoe), this lovely self-contained studio flat provides comfortable accommodation throughout. The studio is on a cul-de-sac, with its own entrance. It is just a short walk to the University of Essex via Wivenhoe Public pathway. The the train station is also only 15 minute walk away through the Wivenhoe trail. Ideal for 1-2 guests, but a baby or small chid is welcome (providing that you bring your own travel cot & bedding with you).

Situated in a quiet location with no traffic noise making it ideal for families and couples alike. A short walk to the beach with a café and children's play area or take a stroll to the seafood restaurants, shops, and other local amenities. Mersea Island is a unique place with beaches, saltings, boardwalks, sailing, oysters and much more.

Garden Cottage Annex

Annexe Garden Cottage is located in West Mersea, next door but one to The Fox Inn. Walk to the beach via Cross Lane, further along the beach you can access the Hard. Annexe has off street parking, it's own private entrance & enclosed garden, garden table & chairs. & offers a great holiday base giving you access to both East and West Mersea. The accomendation provides kitchen, living & bedroom area & showeroom/WC. Bedding & towels are hotel quality giving you a relaxing stay.
