Shepherds hut holiday rentals in East Sussex

Beautiful little shepherd's hut in a lovely area - a perfect countryside getaway for the weekend (or longer). Huts were clean and really well insulated - would stay cozy in all weathers. Kellie was the perfect host and really helpful - would highly recommend!

molly dishwasher is in an absolutely stunning location the pictures don't do justice to how stunning this place is your surrounded by the most beautiful views in the most peaceful location, me and my family had the most amazing 2 nights staying here and the little personal touches added on top just make it that much more special, moppy is an amazing host and let the boys help feed the animals on the last night which they absolutely loved, there is another hut on site but you cant see them so you have amazing privacy. I can see why lots of people who stay here are on there 7th visit as its a place you'll want to re visit after staying. we will defiantly be back soon, thank you for an amazing stay.

I would recommend skylark to anyone looking for some peace. I went alone. I felt completely safe. I knew the farm house was close by but I also had complete privacy so i was able to fully relax. Having the fire pit was wonderful. I used it every evening and sat under the stars. I loved having my own kitchen and bathroom. Moppy was always responsive. I needed more logs and they arrived promptly. She left plenty of food in the fridge. Eggs. Bacon. Sausages. Croissant. Muesli.Milk. Butter. Good coffee etc. I didn't want fro anything at all. Moppy even took me to the train station on my return. A lovely woman and a lovely family.Thanks, Moppy

My husband and I had a great stay at the Shepherds Hut. We enjoyed the peace and quiet, and relaxed with a nice Barbeque ( which was provided!). The highlight was lighting the fire pit in the evening and huddling around the flames. Kellie was super helpful, and the kitchen/ bathroom had everything we needed. We would love to come back!

Located in a wonderful private garden full of flowers and birdsong. Next to walks and good for cycling; definitely planning to come back.

We had a lovely one night stay. Beautifully finished hut and being able to have a hot tub watching the sunset was a joy! We feel for Andrew, our host, as the building permissions stalling mean the view from the hut is less than ideal. But it did not spoil our stay

Lovely little oasis in the quiet beautiful countryside. A few very welcoming country pubs nearby by car or if a keen walker via some lovely country footpaths. Kellie was very accommodating, welcoming and friendly. The little Shepherd hut was immaculate.

This is the perfect place to decompress and reset. We had a lovely weekend, the hut is secluded and very private, giving you a feeling of being on your own piece of land. Kate is a very warm and friendly host, with a wealth of knowledge on the area and recommendations for things to see and do. We will be back!

A real gem. The hut itself is very secluded in your own field. We were fortunate enough to have great weather and made the most of the long summer evening sitting by the fire pit outside until dark. The hut is very well equipped with everything you need. If you want to get away from it all for a night, this is the place to go.

This place is perfection. Set amongst beautiful woods and fields we stayed in the shepherds hut - bijou but with electricity and hot water . Set apart by a field it’s isolated and private . The pool is sublime , surrounded by roses . We were lucky to have the weather which made it all more special

She was incredibly friendly, responsive, and made us feel right at home. From thoughtful little touches to helpful local recommendations, she went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. Absolutely dreamy weekend for me and my dog. Emily was a brilliant host. Very helpful before I arrived and so welcoming when we met. The hut is gorgeous. Super clean with thoughtful touches. The enclosed garden was perfect for my dog to explore and I could relax knowing he couldn’t get out. I spent the day time exploring the local countryside with a lovely circular walk to Firle through the quiet fields. Stopped for a drink at the Ram Inn, locals were very friendly. In the evening, I enjoyed the peace and quiet, watching the wildlife and the neighbouring cows. We had quite a bit of rain during my stay but the hut was super cosy and warm. I slept very well. I already can’t wait to come back! An idyllic set up in a stunning location. Thanks Emily!

Wow! What a stunning gem! Our stay at the Shepherds Hut was delightful. A very comfy bed, brilliant shower pressure and amazing views. Hayley gave brilliant instructions and was welcoming and friendly. The fire pit and summerhouse is a lovely touch too. The wifi is fast and you have absolutely everything you need for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. Thank you so much for having us, we had a lovely time.

It was probably the best experience, accommodation and people you can ask for. I went with 2 cats who are in the normal world not your usual holiday friends, but they had the best time. Our Shepherd’s Hut was beautiful clean, warm and really comfortable. It had everything you would need for your stay. I cooked 2 meals and my breakfast on a proper cooker. The shower was clean and hot. This is the perfect spot to get away They had recycling and normal rubbish which was easily accessible My grazing lunch , my goodness was the best. If I could upload a picture I would. It looked exactly how it tasted. Amazing Thank you everyone for our perfect stay. I have already recommended you to my friends 👍

We had a lovely couple of nights here as we were in the area for a family wedding. It is idyllic - so quiet and peaceful. For a shepherd's hut we were amazed by the space inside. full height shower and spacious etc. Kitchen was well resourced and the bed was very comfy and cosy. Local curry house, Blue India, about ten mins drive away and that was lovely. Really can't fault the place. Bit of a tricky walk from the car park to the hut, but when you get there and are in total silence and green space, you appreciate it! We'll be coming back, for sure.

We had an amazing stay. Our hosts were very accommodating and super responsive. The location and setting is very beautiful and peaceful. We couldn’t have ask for a more. Every detail was catered for. We will definitely come back to stay.

Our stay was lovely. A very friendly greeting upon arrival, communication was excellent. The place is exactly as shown, very clean and tidy and has everything you would need for your stay. It was very peaceful surrounded by nothing but countryside. There was plenty to do nearby and a visit to the winery a few minutes away is a must for the afternoon. The hot tub is a great addition and was very easy to use and warm up. Overall we had a great stay and would highly recommend. Thank you guys.

We had a wonderful few days at this beautiful location. We would particularly recommend use of the Wild Spa facilities including the Hottub, sauna and cold plunge! We were also grateful that we booked massages as was well worth the extra money. All felt like a lovely escape and a relaxing few days.

We stayed in the Deer Hut and it was exactly as described and suited our requirements very well. Although the accommodation is cosy, it is well designed and well equipped. The setting is peaceful and scenic, we were able to sit outside and enjoy breakfast. Claire was a great host with very clear instructions to find the location etc. - definitely worth a visit - we had a great time.

Words can’t express how wonderful our stay was. We had been looking for a nice quiet weekend and we definitely got it. This has to be one of the best Air BnB experiences I have ever had and cannot wait to return. Thank you Rachel for letting us stay with you. Jamie and Michael
