Family-friendly holiday rentals in Egmond aan den Hoef

The location was great, walking distance to trains and trams to get to the heart of Amsterdam. Far enough away to be quiet for nights in. Nancy was very communicative even though she was on holiday. Easy parking if you drive in and plenty of space for 5, especially if someone doesn’t mind the couch. Would be great for 3 couples. Amazing showers 😁

Fred and Kelly’s place is absolutely wonderful. We stayed because the price was better and there was a little more room than many places directly in the city. Though we looked forward to it, we didn’t expect to fall in love with it…and we did! Staying outside of the city is pretty great. It’s a 10ish minute walk to the train station, and then an easy navigation to wherever you need to go. We didn’t mind the “commute” a bit, and it was nice to start off and wind down in a quieter setting. The place itself is well kept, clean, and cozy. The beds were comfortable and the shower was hot with good pressure. We enjoyed casting Netflix on the TV with the fireplace on in the evenings, and we spent a couple of mornings in the garden. We booked this spot our entire stay, but also spent one night in Amsterdam to experience “city life,” and also spent one night in Utrecht. These were perfect additions to our home base plan. I’d definitely stay here again!

Wir waren für ein Wochenende in der Wohnung und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Mit den Fahrrädern konnte man die nahe gelegene Metrostation gut erreichen und wir haben eine gute Zeit in Amsterdam gehabt. Die Vermieter waren sehr freundlich und immer gut erreichbar. Ich kann diese Unterkunft für Amsterdam Aufenthalte sehr empfehlen.

Bij aankomst werden we vriendelijk begroet door Marcel, een aardige en gezellige man. Het huis was schoon, netjes en goed verzorgd. De wifi werkte uitstekend en overal was een duidelijke uitleg voor, wat erg handig was. De locatie is heerlijk afgelegen, waardoor je geen last hebt van buren en je helemaal vrij voelt. Wij komen hier zeker nog eens terug!

Diese Jurte und alles drum herum ist so unglaublich wundervoll! Die Gastgeber sind super herzlich und toll, wir hatten 100% Privatsphäre und trotzdem das Gefühl es ist immer jemand da der sich kümmert. Die Umgebung bietet viel Ruhe, man kann super abschalten und den ganzen Tag den Tieren um einen herum zuschauen und Nachts den Sternen. Und wenn man etwas mehr Action braucht gibt es Fahrräder die man packen kann um die Gegend und das Meer zu erkunden. Die Jurte hat alles was man braucht um sich wohl zu fühlen. Spiele, Plattenspieler, eine hammer Küche, sauberes und luxuriöses Bad und Dusche, super viele chill Möglichkeiten innen ind außen und der private HotTup auf der Terrasse macht alles schon fast zu perfekt. Wir haben wirklich nichts auszusetzen es war einfach ganz ganz toll!! Vielen Dank :)

我们团队一行6人，商务行后旅行经过一晚，1、房屋主人主动沟通确认到达时间，原计划8:30到，实际到达要9:30-10点了，提前1小时通知，房东非常有耐心； 2、房子里有树屋和秋千； 3、方便停车🅿️； 4、周围2.5KM有大海和海滩，沙滩上有贝壳🐚，很适合散步看海踩沙滩🏖️；

Wir (zwei Erwachsene und drei Kinder) hatten eine wundervolle Zeit in Onnos Häuschen. Es war wirklich wunderschön und hatte alles, was Eltern und Kinder glücklich gemacht hat (Whirlpool, Hängematte, Trampolin, Siebträger-Kaffeemaschine, Garten- und Strandzubehör). Ein riesen Pluspunkt waren die Fahrräder mit denen wir schnell zum Strand (Dünenradweg) oder zum Einkaufen fahren konnten. Es gab Räder für Erwachsene und auch für unseren ältesten Sohn (9 Jahre alt). Für die beiden kleinen hatten wir Räder dabei. Vielen Dank, Onno!:)

What a fun experience! And what a terrific host! In a beautiful, quiet neighborhood. Lots of restaurants within walking distance. To say we got to stay on a houseboat in Amsterdam is always going to be a fun memory! But note, it is definitely a boat. You must be fully able bodied to access the boat and get around comfortably inside. The kitchen is suitable for snacks. And as with most European AirBnBs, bring your own bath products.

We had a wonderful stay in Alkmaar and in the apartment! The communication with Diwa was great, she welcomed us, gave us a lot of useful information, we could always contact her and she was super friendly. The apartment was super clean and had everything we needed. It has a beautiful balcony and a great view. We loved, that it’s located in the middle of the city with nice cafés around the corner. For parking there are good options that Diwa told us about. We totally recommend staying in Diwas apartment and would love to come back!

This place is so adorable! It has an amazing terrace, and right in the center of the city with so much to do. The place was so comfortable and had all the amenities we would have needed. I would highly recommend this place if you’re looking to explore Amsterdam!

Absolutely Wonderful Stay at the Farm with Patries and Mike! We had the most amazing time staying at Patries and Mike’s farm. From the moment we arrived, we felt completely welcomed and at home. Patries and Mike are truly exceptional hosts – warm, generous, and full of heart. You can feel how much love and care they put into their place and into every guest they welcome. The farm itself is a little slice of paradise. Surrounded by nature, animals, and peace, it’s the perfect spot to unwind, slow down, and reconnect with what really matters. We loved waking up to the sounds of birds – and especially the proud rooster announcing each new day with great enthusiasm! There’s a real sense of authenticity and warmth here that’s hard to put into words – you simply have to experience it. Thank you, Patries and Mike, for opening your hearts and your home to us. We left with full hearts, new inspiration, and the feeling that we had just spent time with old friends. We can’t wait to come back!

Beautiful family home and welcoming hosts-highly recommend for families! Hosts were so helpful in recommending nearby restaurants, offering tips for the transit system etc. I wish we had spent more time enjoying their home during this trip to visit Amsterdam as the home is a gem-the outdoor spaces are lovely. The movie projector screen and large collection of movies was so fun to use. The home is in an ideal location to use as a home base to access nearby Amsterdam or the even closer and very charming town of Zaanse Schans.

The pictures don’t do justice to the actual house ! Super comfortable home and the perfect hosts ! If you have a baby, this is just the place to book without thinking twice !!

Wir hatten einen großartigen Aufenthalt in diesem Apartment! Alles war sehr sauber, geschmackvoll eingerichtet und mit viel Liebe zum Detail ausgestattet. Wir haben uns von Anfang an wohlgefühlt. Die Lage war ideal – ruhig, aber trotzdem zentral, sodass wir alles gut erreichen konnten. Besonders gefallen hat uns die herzliche Kommunikation mit dem/der Gastgeber*in – stets freundlich, hilfsbereit und zuverlässig. Ein kleiner Hinweis: Die Treppenstufen zum Apartment sind – typisch für diesen schönen Altbau – etwas steil. Für uns war das kein Problem, aber man sollte es wissen. Wir würden jederzeit gerne wiederkommen und können die Unterkunft absolut weiterempfehlen!

We had a lovely stay in this beautiful and traditional home. The surroundings were peaceful, and the house had a very local charm — a great way to experience the culture. The host was very friendly and warmly welcomed us, giving us a helpful introduction to the place. The living room and kitchen were quite dim, and we suggest adding more lighting. The dining table was high, and although there were five beds for our group of five, there were only four chairs, with no other suitable ones to replace the missing seat. The guest rooms and bathroom are located upstairs, but the staircase is very steep and narrow, which may not be suitable for those with limited mobility. The shower drained slowly, and due to a low step, water easily overflowed onto the floor. The toilet area was also a bit dark. These were just small issues and didn’t affect our overall mood. We were still very happy with our stay and appreciated the unique atmosphere.

Sehr schöne 14 Tage hier verbracht und alles ist wie beschrieben.Sehr netter Kontakt ,Martijn ist immer erreichbar falls nötig und sehr hilfsbereit.Ein tolles Willkommenspaket hat auf uns gewartet,wir waren bestimmt nicht das letzte mal da.

Super Unterkunft und super Gastgeber . Wir hatten sehr viel Spaß sind haben uns wohl gefühlt. Die Unterkunft war mit dem Boot erreichbar und wir konnten mit dem Boot einkaufen fahren. Es war ein echtes Abenteuer. Der Unterkunft sowie der Pool war sauber. Hat alles gepasst für uns ☀️

Zum zweiten Mal waren wir hier und es ist und bleibt ein Paradies für Kinder und Eltern! So herzlich, so viel Liebe zum Detail, so kinderfreundlich. Besonders die Zeit im Pool und mit den Tieren werden noch lang in Erinnerung bleiben! Wir haben es sehr genossen.

Annet war eine sehr liebe und zuvorkommende Gastgeberin; antwortet schnell und gibt sehr konkrete Anweisungen. Hat alles super einfach funktioniert. Wir hatten eine gute Zeit in ihrem süßem Häusschen mit gut ausgestattetem Garten, nah an den Dünen und dem Strand.

The house boat was just as it looked in the pictures! It was very spacious and comfortable for our family of 4. It was perfect how the kids sort of had their side, or wing, and my husband and I had our space in the master bedroom, on the other side. We all slept very well! We loved the cats, Skip & Bo. We are animal people, so it was fun having them come and go, and socialize and snuggle with us! The views were amazing and there were plenty of spots to just chill when we weren't out exploring. The house boat was very walkable to many fun spots and different areas. We definitely felt like we were staying in someone's home versus a rental. Enjoyed all of the personal touches in the kitchen as well! We would go back in a heartbeat and recommend Joost's place without hesitation!

Leuke, mooi onderhouden, gemoedelijke camping. De hosts zijn super vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Goede locatie, dichtbij het strand.

Steven was absolutely amazing! The boat is lovely and well situated and he went absolutely above and beyond to help us out on our stay - he even brought us out on his tugboat for a test run! Could not recommend enough thank you so much for our stay 😊😊

Evelien was wonderful, kind and helpful. The apartment was just as it was described and the pictures are what you enter as well! Perfect apartment for us and our little girl 15 months old. the bed was soooo comfortable! the apartment was clean and well looked after. we didn't hear any noise apart, it was incredibly peaceful.

We spent a lovely, relaxing long weekend at Madeleen‘s place, a cute apartment in a charming old house with a gorgeous garden directly by the Ijsselmeer. While there is no proper kitchen, Madeleen provides everything you need to make yourself a coffee or a sandwich, with a coffeemaker and a large fridge at your disposal. There is a pretty good restaurant in walking distance, and quite a few more a short car drive away. Getting to Amsterdam is easy, and after a busy day in the city, the garden and the quiet are absolutely wonderful, as is a quick dip in the cool water. Madeleen‘s friend Anna welcomed us and was a perfect hostess who we very much enjoyed chatting with. We had a great time and hope to visit again sometime soon. Thanks for everything!
