From Skjelbred you drive inland by boat into Egersund city center or a few minutes out the Norda strait towards Eigerøy lighthouse and a bustling fish life. Swimming opportunities a stroll away. For those of you who love the mountains, the area is a mecca of possibilities. One can pack the bag, and go for marked trips from the cabin, or one can with short drives come to trips such as Store Skykula and Smørkamdalen. Distance by car: Kongeparken 40 min. Stavanger: 1st hour Egersund 30 min.

Here you can relax inside or outside, and maybe grab a BBQ meal on one of our terraces with the chickens and ducks. The river Sokna runs right past the garden. Here the kids can swim, and we have a salmon dish here. Ruggesteinen and Linepollen swimming area with sand volleyball court is 2 minutes drive from our house. 5 min by car to Knee Raceway.

The apartment is right in the middle of Egersund center and thus it is walking distance to all city amenities. The house where the apartment is located is from about 1860. There was originally a factory called Damsgård pottery where fayanse (pottery) was produced. At the factory height work 20 people in the building.

The Benedikte house is about 10 min drive from Egersund city center and about 5 min from E39. We have attempted to recreate the hospitality of Benedikte - the last one to stay in the old house - in this modern and completely newly built farmhouse on the outskirts of the courtyard of the Svindland farm. Here guests will find peace and idyll. On the farm there are horses, we have two dogs and a cozy peacock that runs freely. The house is very modern and well-equipped.
