Waterfront holiday rentals in El Castillo

The view over the lake arenal is just phenomenal! The house has a huge garden with some fruits, herbs & vegetables wich we were allowed to eat. We can for sure recommend.

Les agradezco mucho el dejarnos quedar en su hogar, la casa muy limpia y con todas las comodidades . El condominio muy seguro y tranquilo y puedes ir caminando al lago y alquilar todo tipos de atracciones para hacer en el lago desde tours en lancha, kayaks y más .

Carole and Paul were great host. They were very friendly and approachable. Amazing breakfast. They even offered free kayaks and fishing which you could do in lake Arenal right from the property access. Highly recommend .

This is a very special place with such peacefulness all around. There is a river that surrounds the property and I had a wonderful view from my studio room to watch birds and listen to the river. Johanna is a very kind and attentive host with a charming cat who warmly welcomes you! There is a really nice yoga pavilion space and hammocks to relax.

Unser Aufenthalt bei Carole und Paul war großartig, wir haben uns wie Zuhause gefühlt. Das tägliche Frühstück war immer abwechslungsreich und sehr lecker. Die Unterkunft hat alles was man braucht und liegt direkt am See, die Aussicht ist wirklich schön. Alles war sauber und ordentlich. Carole und Paul waren sehr lieb, hilfreich und einfach zu erreichen. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und würden definitiv wiederkommen.

The home is wonderful and spacious! And the view and location are AMAZING. Truly breathtaking and completely relaxing. Access to the dock is great and you can really feel at peace being able to be on the water like that.

What a great location . Amazing view to get up in morning and having coffee to look over the lake. Amazing. As per reviews it is a rough road 2 small rivers to cross but no problem. Make sure you have a SUV. Went to water falls which was about 30 minutes away. Use the link in the Email works good for maps to get there . I did not check how far we were away from La Fortuna as on map looked close. But we did it as a day trip 2.10 hours away. Did a boat ride which contact was shown in info at the house. Make sure you have what’s app. To communicate. Beds were great and good pillows. Make sure you get you Groceries before you get there as town is 45 minutes away and no Restaurants close so plan to cook. Which was great.

Perfect launch point for our family visit to Costa Rica. We loved our stay here - clean, beautiful home, landscape, location, and incredibly cozy for our family of four. It was a great location to explore the area.

Un lugar muy bello para desconectarse en familia y disfrutar de la tranquilidad de la naturaleza, para mi grupo estuvo muy bien disfrutamos mucho en general, la casa muy completa y el lugar privado. Mi estadía fue muy buena.

This small house was perfect for the two of us although there were two bedrooms with space for more people. It was tucked out of the way and backed onto the forest which made for complete privacy. The kitchen was small but stocked with all the basics including a hot plate and microwave. We loved the spacious shower as my husband and I are both tall. Having air conditioning in the bedroom was wonderful! Our kids were staying in a few of Jonathan's cabins just across the way so it was handy for them to come over for breakfast or to play some cards which we did out on the cute patio in the back. Jonathan made sure we had everything we needed and was very accommodating at all times. I highly recommend this quaint little place to anyone looking for a peaceful, quiet place to relax and enjoy the sights and sounds of Costa Rica!
