THE HOUSE AT THE END OF THE WORLD. No, not quite, but nicely away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Our holiday property (house with 2 apartments with separate entrances) is located on the outskirts of Benneckenstein, directly on the Rappbode. 4500 sqm of land also invite you to campfire, camping and in winter to toboggan on your own toboggan slope. The house is only a vacation property. So it has no permanent tenants. Since dogs are allowed in both apartments, we ask you to be considerate of each other.

Sit back and relax – in this quiet, stylish accommodation with its own garden, sauna and hot tub and direct access to the hiking trails in the beautiful Harz Mountains. The colorful city of Wernigerode with its cultural and culinary offerings and the beautiful half-timbered houses is within walking distance (about 10 to 15 minutes). Our vacation home was completed in the summer of 2025 and offers every comfort (2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, underfloor heating, fireplace, open kitchen/dining area).

Beautiful apartment with great views of the Harz

Our apartment is located in Hohegeiß, a district of Braunlage. Hohegeiß is centrally located in the Harz Mountains at 640 meters above sea level. It is a place of relaxation for vacationers seeking peace and quiet. In summer, it is ideal for hiking and mountain biking. In winter, ski resorts are available in the village and nearby. There are excursion possibilities, for example, to Goslar, Wernigerode and Quedlinburg. The guest fee of €3.00/night for adults is charged in cash on site.

The vacation home in Harztor/Ilfeld is idyllically located on the edge of the forest on a 2000 sqm garden plot opposite the main house. Car parking on the premises, charging facilities for electric vehicles and bicycle garage are available. Ideal starting point for Harz explorers; as hikers, skiers, bikers, motorists or leisurely with the Harz Narrow Gauge Railways. Distance to train station, supermarket, restaurant about 500 m. Free Wi-Fi. Laundry service by appointment.

Our biologically and sustainably renovated approx. 300-year-old half-timbered vacation home has the comfort of the modern and looks like a cottage. It can accommodate 8 people. Enjoyment in front of the fire and heat-giving fireplace or in the sun in the garden. Experience the magic of the wonderful landscape with the wide views of the places of worship of the Sonnenstein, the Kyffhäuser, the “Ayers Rock” and into the Harz Mountains to the volcanic summit of Ravensberg.

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway on a south-facing slope in the resort town of Ilfeld in the South Harz. The small vacation home is comfortably furnished with rustic wooden furniture. It has a kitchen, an open living area, a double bedroom and a bathroom with shower. There is also a large terrace, a sunny garden with garden furniture and barbecue facilities. The region offers numerous opportunities for excursions and hikes in the Harz and Kyffhäuser.

Die ruhige Lage in der Natur eignet sich hervorragend für Wanderungen, Erkundungstouren und Freizeitaktivitäten in der Umgebung. Der Harz mit seinen vielen Attraktionen liegt quasi vor der Haustür. The holiday home is located on the outskirts of the small village of Werna, population 200, which belongs to the town of Ellrich at the foot of the southern Harz Mountains. An open-plan kitchen/dining/living area with a fireplace invites you to enjoy convivial evenings. To rejuvenate, let yourself be wonderfully warmed in the infrared sauna, and after settling into the cozy Swiss pine bed, nothing stands in the way of a deep and restful sleep.

The kitchen is complete so that you can make the most of your cooking. The practical double bunk bed is an experience for a small family. The small playground in the village is a minute away. There is plenty of nature to hike and explore all around.

Our vacation home is centrally located and yet surrounded by greenery. In 10 minutes you can walk through the city forest (enclosure) to the city center and directly behind your home is Hohenrode Park. The immediate proximity to the Harz Mountains offers many opportunities for active vacation planning. We hope you feel comfortable in our lovingly furnished cottage. One free parking space is available right by the house.
