Holiday rentals with outdoor seating in Emmental District

Perfect for a large group of 15 people + 6 children! An escape from the daily life of the city, especially when it's a hot weekend on the plateau. It's not the North Pole, but in terms of isolation from civilization, you could almost believe it. The view is magnificent, the amenities (fireplace for raclette, grill/fire pit - both working with wood fire available on site - Nordic style hot tub - which we did not need to heat given the heat of the moment - and without forgetting the large canvas that can be deployed by pressing a button offering shade on almost the entire terrace). The kitchen downstairs has all the amenities and enough space if the group is well organized and tidy (which was not our case!) You have to live with two cows, the farmers next door who work there during the day (but don't sleep there) and the fact that the parking lot is a 3-minute walk away, at the edge of the forest. Would we go back? Yes.

Bernadette was an amazing host - very proactive, responsive and friendly too. My husband and our family (adults) really enjoyed being at her home/chalet, as we felt right at home. Every little things have been really thoughtful arranged, including the fireplace. There were condiments (including oils even though we've brought our own), seasonings and enough tea towels to be used in the kitchen - LOVED it =) Sadly, we couldn't stay long enough as the chalet was booked but very lucky that we had 5 nights there. So, go ahead and book your slot before it get booked out hahaha... Once again, thanks for sharing the lovely home/chalet that you've built. We can't wait to go back to it sometime in the future. Good place in mountain

This was an awesome stay for us! Perfect for a lot of people to hang out and have a good time. While not in a super populated location, it is easily drivable to larger cities and grocery stores were 5 minutes away. I would love to come back someday!

It was a great time with the family. I find the accommodation very expensive. But nowadays everything is overpriced anyway. Still, a great location! Perfect for relaxation - Werner is a very nice person. He even gave us a whole bucket of eggs - thank you!

We had a wonderful stay at Stöckli during the Christmas days. The Stöckli has plenty of space and is comfortably furnished. It has everything you need. The surrounding area is very nice and invites you to walk. We and the children enjoyed it very much. Communication with Claudia was very good. Thanks for everything!

She’s a really nice person, and her husband is too. They had so many stories to share with us, and it was really interesting. Loved the place and the location. I would definitely recommend it to others and would come back again if we return to Switzerland.

Beautiful location in a valley surrounded by green, and easily accessible to the mountains and lakes for spring hiking. Spacious main room, with a modern bathroom and well-equipped kitchen. Monika and her family were lovely, really helpful. Our two kids enjoyed playing on the trampoline and bikes and seeing the rabbits! We didn’t use the second bedroom as our children were too small (under 5), but it would be great for slightly older kids.

A great place for a getaway, Daniela is always helpful and responsive.. Her parents who live one floor below the property are always smiling, very kind and helpful. We arrived very late and they were so flexible with the check-in time, they helped us even in the late night hours with check-in and showing the place. The house is so beautiful, clean and very convenient with everything that you need. The property is surrounded by beautiful green flush meadows, and you have a lot of space to relax outside the property as well. You need a car to reach the property, but the location is correctly marked in Google maps that we had no trouble and the instructions were very clear. Daniela is always responsive for anything that we asked, suggestions for places and any other help needed. Will definitely recommend this place and would like to come again.

Such a lovely place to stay with a stunning view in the country side. Local shops in walking distance and great location to get into Bern. Mario and Karson were such friendly hosts with great communication when checking in and out. The place was very well kept inside and out. We hope to be back again in the future. The location of the house is exotic. The rooms besides being charming, are very spacious. The bedding is comfortable. The kitchen overlooks meadows and the evening light is lovely. The hosts received us very well. Vielen Dank!

Beautiful apartment for exclusive use in the basement. Due to the large windows in the living room and bedroom, it is by no means dark. You enter the apartment via an external staircase and enter the kitchen. There is everything you need for cooking. It joins the living room with sofa and dining table. A TV is not available, which did not bother me. There is fast internet for that. From the living room you enter a small hallway from which the bedroom and the bathroom run off. Everything was very clean and Samuel was quick to respond if there was a question. Perfect! I'd love to come back.

We stayed in this apartment for a few days, and it was wonderful. A beautiful and clean apartment with a great view from the balcony. Everything was well thought out, and the apartment had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.

We stayed only for one night but we wished to have stayed longer ! Christine was very friendly, the apartment is cosy, very quiet we can enjoy the view of the fields and the garden from the bedroom. Easy access by car, we could park in front of the apartment and all kitchen tools were available, plus lovely surprises (home made salts with herbs, pasta and few more things). We highly recommend for a quiet stay and to discover this region :)

Very pleasant and spacious apartment. Located at the end of a dirt road. Very quiet, in the hills, overlooking the mountains. The area is rural and walks start at the front door. Bern is a half-hour drive away, and with an hour's drive you are in the middle of the Bernese Oberland mountains. The house is beautifully decorated, and everything you need is present. Juliane is a friendly host and responds quickly to questions. Definitely recommend this property.

Daniel and Monika are the best hosts I've ever met. Thanks to them, I rediscovered the original spirit of Airbnb: sharing the beautiful things in life. In this small village, we discovered a different way of life, everything was so peaceful and enchanting. I particularly enjoyed the evening walks on the country roads. It was my parents' very first trip to Europe, and they were amazed by the beauty of the place! Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I sincerely hope to be lucky enough to return some day.

Great place with a separate balcony, kitchen and bathroom!

We really enjoyed our stay at Antoinette's place. The apartment was super clean and equipped with all necessary appliances. It also had a high chair and crib for our 5 month old - very baby friendly. The location is on approx. an hours distance from major cities like Zurich & Basel. Highly recommended :)

The accommodation is a Bijoux and you immerse yourself in a past time - with contemporary comfort. The accommodation is furnished and decorated with a lot of love for detail and everything is super clean! Ann, Nadia's mother is a wonderful host, open, warm and straightforward. I felt very comfortable and still revel in the beautiful memories... :-)
