The lodge was beautifully decorated and pristine. It was perfect for our weekend away. Julie was very friendly and helpful and we even received a thoughtful gift basket. Thank you both for a wonderful stay! We can't wait to come back. x

The lodge is lovely with an amazing view over the lake, we sat in the hot tub watching the birds on the lake it was so peaceful. Great place to celebrate my husbands 50th birthday with our family and dog. Immaculate home with a real homely feel. Great kitchen to cook in too.

Excellent 2 night stay for my partner's 40th birthday. A no fuss easy check in with the details that had been provided by Katie and Ben. The lodge was clean, comfortable and the hot tub was very relaxing. Would say that the hot tub we had at Pollen would have been better with steps like the one at nectar but still wasn't a big issue. Percy the peacock was very loud at times but also very friendly. He would come to see us now and again and he was happy to take a few nachos off us. All in all a great 2 night break, very relaxing and well worth what we paid. Would recommend and stay here again. Also Katie was very easy to contact and quick to reply she even helped put me onto someone who could sort some birthday balloons and banners. Big thanks to Ben and Katie. We had a great two night stay. The cabin has everything you could ever need. We found some great walks to get the dog out as well

We’ve just returned from Lapwing Lodge. Beautiful location, very peaceful and the facilities were everything we needed. The photos don’t do it justice. The cabin was spotless and the hottub was a great bonus. Arrived to a very easy check in and we were even given until midday to leave on the departure date. Would definitely be interested in returning in the future.

We will definitely be returning. It was the best lodge we've stayed in, in particular the garden space that was private and spacious. It was totally secure which was perfect for our dog. The Lodge was really spacious and had everything you need for a trip away. The kitchen had everything you need including a full size fridge freezer. The only negative will be the pillows, i must of got about 2 hours sleep during the night because of them. I really think investing in some proper quality pillows will go a long way, especially when they would easily last half a year minimum before needing to be replaced. But this is honestly the only negative thing about the place.

We had a wonderful stay! The home was really beautifully decorated with great attention to detail—it felt cozy and inviting from the moment we arrived. The hot tub was a lovely touch and made the experience even more relaxing. The host was very responsive and made sure everything we needed was available. The house is beautifully decorated, has a very well equipped kitchen and the outside space is very private and a lovely sun trap. We all enjoyed the hot tub and recommend the local Kinema in the Woods for a lovely cinema experience!

The village is lovely and Martin the host was very responsive throughout with any information l may have needed prior to the stay.. Lots of added extras which was a lovely touch.. We chose to celebrate our first wedding anniversary here this weekend and we're so glad we did! :) The space is so wonderful and peaceful, and perfect for disconnecting from the hustle and bustle of daily life. We loved using the printed walking route, enjoying the cozy fire, fun games, all the natural light, and especially the very friendly visits from Hamish the cat! Thank you for having us stay x

The Ella Lodge was everything you want and more. It was peaceful with beautiful scenery. Spacious. Everything in a kitchen you could possibly need. The beds were so comfortable. The hottub was constantly maintained. The site is so clean and the reception people were so lovely. For the fishermen.... all 3 pools were fantastic and well stocked. Our biggest was 10.5lb from the monument but another guy caught an 18lb from the reception pool. The local town was lovely, there's a great pub called The Mall which does really good food. Plenty of little supermarkets and a few takeaways if you don't want to cook, all less than a mile away. We will definitely be back again. Thank you for having us!! 10⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Kirsty x

This was a great find. The location, in a village just outside of Woodhall Spa was beautiful. The living space, at the bottom of a gorgeous garden, backs onto fields and the view at sunset is fantastic. There are plenty of options for walking and riding in the area. The room itself managed to be cosy and spacious at the same time. It had everything I needed for my stay. Michael and Eileen were wonderful hosts. They were friendly, helpful and always gave timely responses to my messages. It was a nice touch to have cereal, milk and fruit there as well. The only slight negative is that the nearest shops are in Woodhall Spa, but to be honest, that just gave me the excuse to get on my bike for a ride.

We’ve had the most wonderful weekend here, such a beautiful location, the pods are gorgeous and everyone is so friendly. Sarah and her family were so hospitable and responded to everything really quickly and with lots of ideas about what to do in the local area. My boys loved feeding the chickens and alpacas and really loved their bunk beds! They didn’t want to leave and neither did we. Thank you - we will be back and would recommend it to friends in a heartbeat x

we had a wonderful weekend staying in your accommodation. we travelled to York a fair few times and this was a 20 minute drive. the lodge was beautiful, really cosy and we felt right at home. the lockbox was hard to find in the dark as we arrived in the evening however soon noticed it once we got back in the car. really beautiful lodge and great communication from the owner. thanks again.

A picturesque location, ideal for exploring Woodhall spa and WW2 areas, whilst enjoying the quietness of the holiday cabin. Host very helpful and quick to respond with all communication. 😀
