Holiday rentals with a patio in eThekwini Metropolitan Municipality

This was one of the best Airbnbs I’ve stayed at in Durban! The home is absolutely beautiful, stylish, spacious, and impeccably clean, with breathtaking views that made the stay even more special. You can really tell that care and attention to detail went into creating a welcoming space. A couple of small suggestions for improvement: the couch could use a deep clean or reupholstering, as it had a bit of a worn look and lacked that fresh, clean scent. The cushion inners were also quite flat, so replacing them would really bring the lounge area back to life. I stayed in the bedroom facing the passageway, and I’d recommend adding block-out curtains or blinds , the hallway light filters into the room at night, which made it difficult to sleep. That said, everything else was outstanding, and I’d absolutely stay here again. With just a few tweaks, this place would be perfection!

We found an absolute gem in Kloof. The self catering cottage is beautiful, clean and well equipped. Absolutely everything has been well thought out, from having a little working/office space to the inverter in case of loadshedding. The little treats and notes left for us and the daily weather forecast was so thoughtful and appreciated.  Thank you Gerald and Michelle for being absolutely super hosts and for making my daughter and I feel like princesses at Buckingham Place. Kind regards Tracey

The place was peaceful and gorgeous. It is in close proximity to a shopping centre. The hostess is friendly and very responsive. This was perfect for a staycation with friends.

Staying at Lisa’s place was perfect! She couldn’t have been friendlier, and the location was ideal. The balcony with the view was lovely! It was close to everything we wanted to do in Durban. We would definitely stay here again.

Lovely check in process, extremely secure, extremely well maintained, clear & concise information. The amenities were excellent and although we had a slight issue with our unit, it was attended to within 10 mins with great care. What stood out about the place was that one feels secluded from the hustle of Umhlanga and yet Gateway is walking distance and the beach a quick 5 min drive away. Thank you for the lovely stay

Paige is a super friendly host . We met her as she was just attending to a small issue (pipe leak) . They were very quick and not in our way at all. It was a Sunday and we all know how hard it is to find a good plumber willing to work on a weekend. I will definitely book in again when I am in that area .I wish her all the success.

Nice spacious penthouse apartment in walking distance from many restaurants, shops, malls and beach. We also loved the outdoor space. The apartment is a short drive from the airport and esay to find after instructions from Bianca. Bianca was a good host, informative and responsive.

This was the second stay at Beate's place and I found it even better than the first time. The house is well kept and clean. I was Durban for the Comrades Marathon and the place was very well equipped for my needs. The location has many options for running. Beate gave me good guidance on safety and where to get specific items I needed to buy. I hope to be back soon.

The place is beautiful, clean and spacious. The hosts provided us with a litre of fresh milk, 2 litre of bottled water, sugar, coffee, tea and rusks. Not just sachets of coffee, enough coffee to last you for a week (if drinking it sensible). The kitchen is packed with all the amenities, including liquid dish soap and towels. The bathroom too, there’s a sponge and thick bleach to clean the bath before (for those neat freaks) and after. There’s plenty of toilet rolls too. I loved that I could sit on the patio and sip on my creamy coffee and rusks or just recharge on the beautiful petite garden. I didn’t feel claustrophobic as I normally do in a hotel room or flat. I recommend this place for its beauty, art, cleanliness, space and location (walking distance to restaurants, shops and a large park to exercise or vicariously watch). It is also very secure.

Excellent holiday home. We enjoyed the pool. There is a nice bar area by the pool so we could braai and relax. The place was spacious and very comfy. The house was clean, and when we had queries Belinda was readily available to assist. The mall is a 5 minute walk away. The area is quiet. I would definitely go back. Belinda was welcoming and friendly.

We had a such a wonderful stay at the Boplaas cottage. The home is spacious and located in a lovely quiet neighborhood. Quite serene and private. It’s also quite homely and is equipped with everything you’d typically use in your own home. We didn’t have to ask for anything. Andrea is also such a superb host, great communicator and super friendly. I’d definitely book the spot again.

Michele’s place was a little hidden haven on the beach. It was absolutely fabulous. The house is exactly as described the beach access is perfect. 8 of us were there and did not want to leave. Zandile is absolute wonderful she made our stay even better! Highly recommend

We had a short but lovely stay at Naomi's place, it is conveniently situated, well appointed and had everything we needed. Naomi made everything from checkin to checkout effortless, it was a pleasure to deal with her. I highly recommend her and the lovey loft.

We absolutely loved our stay at Kevin's place! He is a friendly host, who came to introduce himself in person the day after we arrived. He told us everything we needed to know about locks, doors, wifi, tv, etc. The place was clean and tidy, in a quiet, peaceful neighbourhood. We were down from Joburg for my husband to run Comrades - so he particularly loved the fact that this place, compared to many in the area, has a bath! Thank you Kevin - we loved our stay and will definitely come back when next we can!

Gina's home is a serene and private retreat, offering a warm and welcoming atmosphere paired with the most breathtaking views. We thoroughly enjoyed every moment of our stay and felt completely at ease in such a peaceful setting. This place truly exceeded all our expectations. Definitely an amazing accommodation very peaceful place everything was amazing the cleaning lady was excellent very sweet very down to earth absolutely a sweet heart the house was beautiful and i felt right at home.

I spent 1 night at the house and really had a great time, the place is nice and clean with nice sea views. Paula has been an amazing host, very responsive,I strongly recommend it and will definitely come back for a longer stay.
