We had such a good time! The pictures didn’t do the place justice, we were pleasantly surprised when we got to the cottage.

I stayed at Sophia/Shahazad's place over the weekend with my extended family, which includes three toddlers and a newborn. We had an amazing time! Everything was perfect, from the sleeping arrangements to the indoor saltwater pool. We didn't even get to sit outside and enjoy the bonfire or BBQ because we were so busy having fun in the pool and sitting to catch up in the amazing open concept kitchen/dining area. All the bedrooms have full bathrooms, which was huge since we had a family stay in each room and they needed that privacy. We are already looking to come back as soon as possible!

Very nice place to stay! Comes as advertised, easy to find, and peaceful. Would recommend as a budget vacation option.

Host is responsive and accommodating, place is clean, spacious and quiet. Kitchen is fully equipped to use, utensil-wise (no salt/pepper/spices). Thank you for a great, last-minute stay.

Julian was an extremely responsive host who always was there at a minutes notice. Aspects of the place were even nicer than the pictures like the backyard patio of the Stonehouse and the Stonehouse livingroom. Had plenty of things to do for entertainment and pretty close to town. Has a real cottage/summer home vibe. Had PLENTY of space for 16 of us. Water pressure was a bit low in the Cottage house at times without any other taps running to interfere. Julian left hand written notes for different things around the house and even said we were able to take some plants that were already potted. A+

Sarah’s property is one of the most dreamiest places for families. It ticks off so many boxes for everyone in your party. Communication with the host very timely and much appreciated.

We had an amazing time at this house. The weather wasn’t great but it didn’t matter since we had the indoor pool to keep the kids busy the whole weekend. Charmaine was a fantastic host. Would definitely recommend this house!

My family and I stayed here and loved our stay! This place is beautiful! The design and decor of this place is well thought out and is incredibly well done. The lake view is breathtaking. The little things that they have done (for example: gift basket, stocked kitchen, game room, firewood readily available for bonfire, etc) is what make this place outstanding. The owner is friendly, communicates well and clearly, and definitely cares to make sure your stay is comfortable. My family and I loved staying here, and we definitely recommend this place for everyone else to book and enjoy!

This was without a doubt the cleanest Airbnb I’ve ever been in! It was such a beautiful space. The view was unmatched and there was lots of room for all of us! We definitely plan on going back during summer months. May long weekend this year wasn’t warm and we would have loved to enjoy sitting out on that dock. Will definitely be returning!

We had a Great Weekend at Nimals Place. Everything was as described and it Looks Even better then on the pictures! Amazing view and completley private. Bring Bug Spray and make sure you don’t leave the door open. Awesome Place and Host! We will come back!

Absolutely lovely spot! We had such a relaxing time here. There was lots to do; kayaking, fishing off the dock, board games, Roku and more. Such a cozy vibe- we are definitely adding it to our list for future getaways. Kees was a great host; very easy to follow instructions and had everything we needed. Highly recommend!

Amazing stay!! We were blown away by just how beautiful and thoughtful the cottage amenities were. The decor is like a luxury hotel - everything is brand new and perfect. We appreciated all the different outdoor spaces and made use of the dock, the deck, the fire pit and the hot tub. Despite the terrible weather, we still had lots to do and felt like a dream getaway. Can't wait to go back again!

Really enjoyed our stay at this very clean, nicely furnished, well equipped and nicely located cottage. Loved reading and having a morning coffee on the dock. Nice quiet lake. Not too long a drive.

We had an amazing stay at Tait Lake Retreat with friends and family. The home was clean, spacious, and thoughtfully designed—perfect for group meals, games, and relaxing together. The open-concept kitchen and living space made it easy for everyone to connect, and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook for a crowd. The lakeside setting was peaceful and beautiful. We spent hours swimming, kayaking, and paddleboarding from the private dock. It was such a great way to enjoy the outdoors and unplug. The bedrooms were cozy, the beds were comfortable, and there were plenty of extras—blankets, towels, games, and books—that made it feel like home. This retreat is ideal for anyone looking to recharge and enjoy nature with the people they love. It offered the perfect mix of comfort, privacy, and fun. We left with so many great memories and would absolutely return. Highly recommend for families or groups looking for a quality lakeside getaway!

This was the best airbnb I have ever stayed in! We stayed for our wedding weekend - the natural lighting here was absolutely PERFECT. Super close to Peterborough! Sylvia not only let us take photos on the property, she gave us a free gift and offered for us to check out later the day after our wedding. It was also the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in at an airbnb. I cannot recommend more!

The place was nice and the host was very friendly and responsive. The only slight downside would be a lack of kitchen towel and garbage bags: for a group of 6 with 4 nights stay, a total of 8 garbage bags(1 in each washroom, 1 in garbage can, +5 spares) and half a roll of kitchen towel were provided. Those would not be enough if you plan to cook a meal everyday. But the host addresses all our inquiries within the hour and that was nice.

The location is amazing, a short walk down the trail to the public beach was a great bonus. The lake is perfect for swimming! The place felt very homey, and the nostalgia of watching a movie on VHS is so much fun. Would recommend this place to everyone!

Ryan is without a doubt a great host. I had an issue and I contacted him before 9am on a Saturday morning and he responded within minutes. He was always available to help out and is very caring. His home is just beautiful. The pictures I took of the lake reflect the beauty of the place and the cottage is very peaceful and it’s indeed a great place to unplug but don’t worry because there is wifi and the phone reception is very good as well. My family and I really enjoyed our time there. Thank you Ryan for making this an unforgettable trip for us!

This is our second Thanksgiving Long Weekend spent at Dave's cottage. Everything was as perfect as last year. This year the First Aid Kit came really handy as one of us poked himself doing the dishes. He was able to patch himself up really quickly since the kit was right under the kitchen sink. There aren't many cottages around that are as considerate as this one that supplies First Aid Kits on BOTH floors. I can't say enough compliments for the hosts.
