My stay at Ellerslie Lodge Annexe was absolutely lovely. Nestled on the gentle slopes of Portsdown Hill, the annexe strikes the perfect balance between a peaceful countryside escape and proximity to amenities . From the moment I arrived, I appreciated the private entrance and free on-site parking, which made checking in and out seamless. The space itself was impeccably cleaned and thoughtfully appointed—comfortable, private, and ideal for both relaxation and productivity. Whether you're winding down after a long day or setting up a workspace, the annexe delivers on all counts . Communication with the host was smooth and professional. Check-in instructions were clear, and I felt well-supported without feeling intruded upon—exactly what you want in a self-check-in setup. This is our 2nd visit and like the first, didn't disappoint. Very clean home, with everything you need for a 3 day stay or more. Helen and John are very friendly, allowing us to show our 2 grandchildren their dog, tortoises and have a play in the garden. It's very private but if anything is needed , the hosts are easily contacted. It's very apparent that they aim to give you everything you need for a short break, including home made jam!!! We will definitely be back again. I would recommend this property to anyone.

I was only here for a couple of nights, but Natalie’s place was fine as an affordable stop-gap. The approach to the cosy isn’t the most salubrious, but it’s nice inside and is clean and comfortable. It’s handily placed for shops and restaurants.
