When I first booked Jon Olav’s apartment, I was worried that maybe its location is too far from “the action.” What a mistake. It is hard to believe that there could be a more desirable location for tourists than the Nøstet neighborhood in which this home resides. Home facades as colorful as any in Bergen nestled along a fun labyrinth of narrow cobble-stoned alleys. Almost no bustle of shoppers, other tourists, bargoers, rowdy students, or car/truck traffic passing through. Yet the hilltop and architecture views, intimate boutiques, shopping malls, Fløyen, museums, restaurants, music venues, even the university – all are within 10-15 minutes walk. The apartment has an optimally efficient layout and very modern appliances. The kitchen was clearly outfitted by a cooking enthusiast. Knives were sharp, pots/pans were high quality and there were plenty of food storage containers. Truly one of the best AirBnB layouts and locations my husband and I have ever experienced.

great place to stay if you want to visit mountains but also for hiking..super apartment with everything you need and the owners emanuel and carla are great!!

It’s a lovely bright and airy apartment with comfy beds and seating area. Easy to walk down the hill into Bergen town centre, and a slow walk back uphill! The area is gorgeous, with lots of colourful old buildings. The hosts were responsive if we were unsure about something, eg figuring out the washing machine! Highly recommended 😊

A very cute apartment, perfect for our short stay in Bergen. Arild was a great host, very discreet but super helpful, providing all the necessary info about the accommodation. The apartment was fully equipped. The location is just perfect, within walking distance of the city centre and hiking trails.

We enjoyed our two-night stay at Jørgen’s centrally located Bergen apartment. Just steps from the mountainside funicular, historic fish market, and Bryggen Hansa Quarter, it was the perfect base to explore the city. We appreciated being able to park in a nearby structure and found the unit itself to be spacious, clean, and well-appointed with a comfortable one-bedroom layout on the second floor. Tørstein was very responsive and helpful throughout our stay. We'd happily recommend this place to future travelers!

Our stay in Bergen was wonderful. The apartment was clean and had a lovely open plan. The view was beautiful and it was close to public transport and a lovely breakfast café. All the check-in and check-out instructions were clear. Thank you so much Stig for letting us stay there. 😃

Had a great stay in the apartment. Location is as good as it gets. We walked to everything. The apartment is spacious and felt very clean. All the conveniences you can ask for is in the place. We didn't lack for anything. I would gladly return.

We only stayed 1 night in Mads' accommodation. We were immediately welcomed, everything was perfect. Very clear instructions on check-in and check-out, Mads responded to any of my requests in a friendly manner and in record time. It is very convenient to reach both the center and the station. I recommend it

Geir was an awesome host. He shared info on taking light rail from airport to station by his place. Very prompt to reply to questions and proactively checked all was good the first evening. Location is very convenient to rail station with frequent runnings. Easy to get to city center. Brand new feel inside and beautiful view.

Bernt's apartment in Bergen, Norway is located perfectly if you don't have a car... In an older but quaint neighborhood, and walkable to lots and lots of restaurants, shops, and things to see and do... Bernt was a great host, friendly, informative, and quick to respond to any questions... The apartment itself checked the boxes in a good way: a comfy bed, awesome water pressure in the shower that was easy to regulate, and overall clean and easy to relax in... He also provided chocolate treats and a bottle of wine on arrival, which was very nice! There are two flights of stairs to go up to get to the apartment--no issue for us but might be for one that has physical issues... And, it is full of decorations and "stuff", which for us was interesting and amusing... Highly recommend if you want a comfortable apartment in a great neighborhood in the heart of Bergen!

Home away from home in Bergen! Cosy, clean and very close to the city center. Neighbourhood is lovely. We were there for 2 full days and nights and on a rainy night decided to stay in - we had all the necessary equipment in the kitchen for a home cooked meal and the living room was nice for a movie night. Paolo is proactive and responsive and even helped us out with parking in the neighbourhood. We had a lovely time. Note that there is no private parking, you can park in the neighbourhood or in a parking garage. Highly recommend.

I have a big pleasure during my 2 night stays at this place with my friends. Here has a lot of space and bed for my group of 10 persons. We got two stories which both is decorated so comfy and cozy. The host is always responsive to my question and give me the clear answer.

Gorgeous little home on the ocean. The host was very responsive and helpful. We had one fantastic meal at the hotel restaurant. The hot tub was also a great addition. One note, the floor is a bit noisy so keep that in mind if you have small children and don’t want to wake them by walking around. Other than that, we would stay here again. Thank you!

I recommend Very good location and very quiet We live in Norwegian style and it's very well equipped since the hosts live there in normal times. Very nice view from the terrace Be careful though: the second bed is really extra (air mattress in the office) suitable for children

What a beautiful location! The view is even better than the pictures and the neighborhood is so peaceful and lovely. This definitely gets you high above the busyness of Bergen. This is a great location if you like to hike or trail run—easy access to trailheads that get you up to Fløyen and the expansive network of trails nearby. The hot tub is really nice and a wonderful way to end the day! I would agree with other reviewers that this house is best for people who are in good shape and fully able bodied. The walk up from town is extremely steep! Taxis and Ubers are quite expensive, and we found that they had a bit of a hard time getting up there. Scooters are a good option if you get tired, but I’d recommend a little bit of experience with them because the roads are so steep! It worked perfectly for our group, but it wouldn’t be the best option if you have an injury or for elderly people. The views can’t be beat, deck and hot tub is great and there is plenty of space for 6 people.

We enjoyed a wonderful 2 night stay at Frank and Therese's place. We only met Therese and she was very friendly and welcoming, even letting us sit in her house to wait as we ended up getting there early due to the way the bus times worked out. We loved the hot tub and it was gorgeous relaxing in there overlooking the beautiful views. We didn't have a car and were using public transport and bikes. The bus stop just minutes away meant getting into Bergen was easy. A great place if you want to get out of the city.
