Lake house holiday rentals in Fontana

We had a great snow weekend at our Big Bear getaway thanks to this lovely property. Check in was easy. Well stocked with essentials, lots of space, plenty of rooms for multiple families, the house also included games & pool table. The kids’ room had the best view of the lake, I was a little jealous😂. The host was very attentive when a moisture detector alarm went off, but there was nothing out of the ordinary that we observed. They sent a maintenance person over to check it out & resolve it in a matter of minutes. No issues whatsoever. Several feet of fresh snow had fallen so we had snow play in the backyard while ducks swam by. Did some sledding at a nearby lot we spied from across the lake. A dip in the jacuzzi at sunset amidst the snow and lake was a perfect and relaxing way to close out the fun. In the summer we’re thinking of returning so we can rent a boat and have our own private lake access! Can’t say enough great things!

Amazing home! Plenty for all to do. The furnishings give it homey feeling. All of the special touches were wonderful such as different flavors of coffee and teas, bath bombs, candy dishes, etc. Quiet neighborhood, close enough to go to restaurants, but far enough off the highway that it was very peaceful.

Cons: Beds are very creaky. A lot of the windows don't open. Dark stains on carpet in upstairs bedroom. A lot of spiderwebs outside the cabin. Hooks on upstairs shower are broken. Dryer doesn't work well. Back door didn't lock (got fixed by David while we were there). The couch in the living room is dirty and needs to be washed. One screw missing in foosball, The vacuum is broken. String to upstairs shade is broken. You have to log into your own streaming services. Pros: Destination Big Bear are very responsive and want to keep the guest happy and will do anything to accommodate their guests. They even gave a thoughtful basket. Lovely Jacuzzi. PS5 for children. Billiards table under foosball table. Gas fireplace. Beautiful stars. Amazing sunrise and sunset. A lake view that is to die for. You can hear coyotes, fish, birds and insects at night. Close to the village. Many clean towels and blankets. Supplies for cooking and big fridge. Many neighbors around the rental are renters too.

I had a party of 10, plenty of room for everyone. Nice cabin. Can’t wait to come back.

Carolyn’s home is spacious, quiet, and has a gorgeous view. We had a couple issues upon arrival, but Carolyn was very helpful. It’s a beautiful place to stay if you are looking for a quiet getaway with convenient access to the water.

A true sanctuary for the soul. This house in Idyllwild is everything I didn’t know I needed—and more. Just one hour away from the city, it felt like stepping into a different world. The moment we arrived, I could feel my nervous system start to unwind. Between the river flowing right through the backyard, the private sauna and Jacuzzi, and the peaceful stillness of the forest, it was the perfect space to reconnect with my body, mind, and spirit. Every detail in the home was curated with intention and care. If you’re someone who values health, vitality, and deep rest—this place has everything: nature, healing, beauty, and tranquility. It’s also an amazing space for families—my little one thrived playing in nature and we were all able to slow down and reset together. The host was warm, responsive, and made us feel completely at home. I left feeling nourished and restored, and I can’t wait to return. This place is a gem and has become my go-to getaway for peace, presence, and health.

We stayed for 4 nights for Father’s Day weekend. I can’t say enough about this place. Wissam was awesome, super responsive, proactive and friendly. We had beautiful weather. We used the canoe, fished off the dock, sat on the deck at night to watch the stars, Fire pit area was amazing! Very clean, kitchen was great, loved having an island to prepare meals, bedrooms were big. We loved it there! Can’t wait to go back again this summer. My family and I enjoyed our stay very much, such a luxurious home with lots of little details to enjoy. We all had a turn in the sauna, in the master bathroom shower. The hot tub was perfect, and the lake was just steps away so we could fish and swim as we liked! The kitchen was extremely well stocked, I was able to buy groceries and cook multiple meals and had everything I needed. We had so much fun in the game room. We had an issue with WiFi but the host was prompt in addressing it!

Really nice place to stay, we really enjoyed our time there with our family. The only recommendation I would give is just that it needs a little bit more cleaning and the master’s bed it’s not comfortable but other than that everything was good and we had a lot of fun and we really enjoyed it. Thank you !

Host was responsive and easy to communicate with. Location was perfect, few minutes away from Lake Arrowhead village. Having access to the ALA trails was a perk. We enjoyed our stay.

The trip was a huge success! Everyone enjoyed themselves. My kids felt right at home, this was the first time my youngest slept through the night on vacation so you know we were excited. The home is within a 10 minute drive of a lot- which I enjoyed being able the see the lake and the surrounding areas. We had all the things we needed to cook/eat at home. It's quiet! We had a great time. Would highly recommend.

Lisa is an amazing host and I truly appreciate her prompt response. Our stay here definitely exceeded our expectations. Very clean and cozy atmosphere. The kitchen was very spacious and cooking was a breeze. The kitchen appliances were practical and easy to use. I would stay here again in the future!

Place was great and Henry was a wonderful host. Home was comfy and the hot tub was a definite bonus. Had a light dusting of snow so that made the trip even better. Had all the essentials needed, would be an excellent choice for an over nighter or extended stay. Would book again! 10/10

Truly enjoyed our stay and the interaction with Tess. The house had all the amenities needed for our family. Great location. You are within walking distance of the Village. Back deck is very peaceful. Used the table and chairs in the front of the house for morning coffee. That was perfect.

Had a great time here at the cabin, Beds were sooo comfy . Jacuzzi was a bonus and heats up quickly. Kids loved the trampoline and making s’mores out on the deck. Cabin has everything you need . games for kids , pack n play for baby too. Maria was great with communication and very accommodating and helpful with any questions . Definitely recommend this place for your next family vacation . Brought my pup too . Thanks Maria

An Unforgettable Stay! 🌟 I recently had the pleasure of staying at China’s Airbnb, and I can confidently say it was one of the best travel experiences I've ever had. Was perfect for my birthday! From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with a warm welcome and a beautifully clean space. The apartment was exactly as described in the listing, if not better. The decor was stylish and cozy, making it the perfect retreat away from the city. My group especially loved the huge balcony with hot tub and fully equipped kitchen that made cooking a joy. The fire place was also a nice touch for a cozy feel at night. Location-wise, this place could not have been better. It was situated in a quiet neighborhood a short distance to restaurants and local grocery stores. Plus, lake arrowhead village which was only a few miles away. I highly recommend this Airbnb to anyone looking for a comfortable and memorable stay. I can’t wait to return!

Michelle and Darri were fantastic hosts! They were responsive from the very beginning and were helpful in every aspect. The Cresthaus is the cutest house surrounded by beautiful trees, making it te perfect relaxing getaway. The kitchen was fully stocked, which was extremely convenient! They had a collection of games and a record player with records dating back to the 70’s! Their check in process and guide were clear and they had recommendations for places to check out in the area. We went on one of the recommended hikes and loved it! It was the perfect cozy getaway from the city life. We will definitely be returning to the Cresthaus!

Ariel was an amazing host, she was very helpful when it came to answering any questions I had regarding the house and the local spots. The house itself was very beautiful and it had a lot of places to hangout outside and inside the house. The house was close to the Lake arrowhead village and many shops! If I ever plan on coming back to Lake Arrowhead I will be booking with Ariel again! :)

Such a great space and a caring hostess. The home is filled with really cool historical photos and books. Nancy is a great communicator and was always available if needed. The gardens and outdoor sitting space beautiful. Would recommend and hopefully will get to stay again in the future.

Staying at Justin’s cabin in Lake Arrowhead was nothing short of magical! From the moment we walked in, we were blown away by the thoughtful blend of vintage charm and modern design… every detail was just amazing! The space was filled with beautiful plants (my favorite part was waking up in the loft to see all the hanging plants & the incredible view straight ahead). The amenities were endless… from the hot tub under the stars to the fireplace and movie projector… it made us feel like we were living in a cinematic dream! On top of the absolutely gorgeous design - the whole entire place was spotless & so cozy. If I could rate it higher than 5 stars I would. Justin was SO kind, thoughtful, and accommodating. He truly went above and beyond to make sure my birthday stay was special. Hands down… THE best Airbnb host ever. I’ve been lucky to travel all over the world, & can honestly say Justin’s cabin is one of the most unique & favorite places I’ve ever stayed at! Cant wait to go back!!

Amy and this rental were both spectacular. Amy was easy to talk to and very communicative from the very beginning. The house was perfect for a family with two kids and a dog. It had everything on our wishlist and I thought it was maybe too good to be true. But it was true to it's listing! We had so many activities at the house to keep us busy (even during a power outage) and it was just so amazing to be so close to the water with kayaks, paddleboard and a canoe for us to use. The home had everything we needed and the beds were comfortable!! Amy clearly put so much thought into everything. We cannot wait to come back!

This is my 2nd time renting this cabin. Once for Christmas and now for the summer. Both times, everything was absolutely perfect. I am planning a comeback in fall. This place feels like home, will always be our home away from home in Crestline, and one of our greatest memories as a family. Lake day was amazing. The water was perfect and coming home 5 minute drive from the lake and in to our beautiful home and views was the prefect way to end the day, every day. Thank you Natalia for trust. The perfect peaceful mountain escape! Coby’s place was an idyllic place to stay. Within easy driving distance from all the main lakes and incredible walks. We will definitely be back!
