Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Fort William

Wir sind vier Freundinnen, die zusammen eine Woche in Nairn im Marine-Cottage direkt am Strand verbracht haben. Dass man aus der Küchentür direkt zum Strand kommt, und vom Esstisch aus das Meer sieht, fanden wir wunderbar! Wir haben oft gekocht in der gut ausgestatteten Küche des Cottages. Auch mit der Aufteilung, mit den drei Schlafzimmern, den beiden Bädern und dem schönen Wohnzimmer mit dem Kamin hat das Cottage für uns vier Frauen gut gepasst und war sehr komfortabel. Wir hatten eine schöne Woche am Meer im Marine-Cottage von Allasdair! Und kommen sicher wieder!

Perfect stay, everything was exactly as advertised!

We had a great stay at this lovely apartment in Fort William. The location was ideal — peaceful yet just a short drive to the town centre and iconic spots like Glenfinnan Viaduct and Ben Nevis. The house was clean, cozy, and well-equipped with everything we needed. Check-in was smooth, and communication with our hosts was excellent throughout. We especially appreciated the thoughtful touches and clear instructions. Perfect for couples or small group looking to explore the Highlands without any hassle. Would definitely recommend and stay again if we’re back in the area!

This is an amazing house with a wonderful view of the Sound of Mull. Everything felt incredibly homely. One of the best Airbnbs you can find with wonderful views of the Siubd of Mull. Very tastefully done. Loved the open plan kitchen and sitting area and the warm underfloor heating welcomed us on our return from beautiful but sometimes wet and windy walks. We can’t thank you enough for sharing your beautiful home with us!

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans ce logement. Tout était propre à notre arrivée. Nous avons apprécié l'emplacement et le calme des lieux, loin des bruits de la ville. Il est proche de la ville d'Oban pour faire les courses et des activités. Nous avons aimé voir des animaux dans le pré, devant le balcon (lièvres, chevaux et oiseaux). Le lit était très confortable. Le logement etait bien équipé. Jo et Rory ont été très accueillants et soucieux de notre bien-être durant le séjour. Nous n'hésiterons pas à revenir si nous revenons dans la région.

Wonderful stay in fort Williams with Anna. We were travelling as a family of three, spent three nights at this apartment and it felt like a home away from home. The home was exactly like the description and had all the comforts. Anna was always responsive and her instructions were very clear. It was a clean apartment and Anna had ensured that the basic amenities were all there. Convenient store in walking distance, car parking and the washing machine/dryer were big plus for us. Would definitely recommend this place to everybody :) thanks Anna!!

The Garden Cottage and surrounding area is perfection. It felt like living in a day dream. We had everything we needed, the hot tub was amazing. The views and local markets were excellent. We loved every minute. Truly a dream.

Visiting to take part in the Isle of Mull Sportive, the Cabin was perfectly located and provided everything we needed for our stay - tranquil setting, good warm and cosy space, well-equipped kitchen, space for our bikes, bathroom that gave us the option of a long soak in the bath if needed after our ride (we didn't but the water was really nice and hot for our showers). Eugenie sent a very informative and helpful welcome pack ahead of our stay providing clear directions and lots of great recommendations - we couldn't get in to eat at Croft 3 but we did drop in for coffee and cake and would thoroughly recommend. Thanks to Tomo, Eugenie's partner, for the encouragement to eat at Am Birlinn on our last evening - lovely space and staff and the food was delicious! More thanks to Tomo - for equipping us with hose, bucket, joinery advice and his patience! :D

This was a second visit to Oban, albeit planned with less than 12 hours notice. Elizabeth replied back IMMEDIATELY and we are so fortunate to have found this gem. After a very ill timed, wet and cold, boat ride to the islands…the flat was a wonderful reprieve. It warmed right up and with some coffee, tea and oatmeal that was generously provided, we were ready for round two of Oban.

Die Wohnung ist sehr schön und qualitativ hochwertig eingerichtet, alles wirkt neu und in sehr gutem Zustand. Es war super sauber. Die Lage am Ende der Fußgängerzone war für uns sehr praktisch und vom Bahnhof gut zu Fuß erreichbar . Wir haben auch den Blick aufs Wasser genossen. Nachdem wir gemerkt haben, dass man die Tür auch von innen verriegeln kann, haben wir uns rundherum wohl gefühlt! Danke auch für die süßen Sachen und die Restaurant-Tipps ! Wir waren vier Tage bei Kathryn, und haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt. Die Zimmer sind schön eingerichtet, alles war blitzsauber. Kathryn hat uns gar schon etwas in den Kühlschrank gestellt, das hat uns sehr gefreut. Die Kommunikation lief bestens, Kathryn war super hilfsbereit. Es waren tolle Tage in den Highlands.

Alles war zu unserer vollsten Zufriedenheit. Wir haben gut in den Betten geschlafen. Die Küche war gut ausgestattet. Alles war sehr sauber. Die Lage ist wirklich toll. Vor allem geprägt durch eine unglaubliche Ruhe. Direkt vom Haus weg kann man schöne Wanderungen starten in absolut ruhiger und naturbelassener Gegend. Danke!

Beautiful, clean and peaceful little piece of paradise to stay in Isobel has thought of everything

Wir wurden von Janet sehr herzlich begrüßt. Sie zeigte uns die Wohnung und hatte und auf Ausflugsziele hingewiesen. Die Wohnung war sehr gut ausgestattet, uns hat nichts gefehlt. Über das frisch von ihr gebackene, sehr lecker Brot, Marmelade, Milch und Schokolade haben wir uns sehr gefreut. Leider waren wir nur drei Nächte dort. Ich hätte stundenlang aus dem Fenster schauen und das Wetter beobachten können. Ich kann die Unterkunft sehr empfehlen und würde jederzeit wieder mieten.

Chris and Sarah’s place is easily one of the finest Airbnbs we’ve ever experienced. Every detail has been thoughtfully considered. The place has everything you needed and more! (Thank you for the Scottish Shortbread biscuits). The panoramic views are breathtaking, our only regret is not having more time to have a cup of tea at the front yard. Above all, Chris and Sarah’s warmth made us feel instantly at home. Their hospitality set a new standard for us, and we’ll be recommending their getaway to any friends traveling to this part of the world!

We had an excellent stay at Cobblerview Apartment! The view was, of course, gorgeous - but the care that Carol & Don took in ensuring our stay was comfortable was greatly appreciated and made our experience especially enjoyable. The apartment is cosy and immediately inviting, with a sizable living room space and dining table positioned next to the window and looking out onto Loch Long. Though the view you have of the loch itself is expansive, we never felt as though we didn’t have enough privacy - aside from this window out onto the water, almost all of the natural light that filters in is through skylights. We never needed for utensils or utilities, Carol & Don provided a full range of crockery, cleaning supplies and towels It’s worth bearing in mind that as this is a waterfront property, the bugs are in abundance around summer and you’ll need to have your spray on if you want to sit out on the balcony this time of year!

Un des meilleurs airbnb que j'aie loué! Le logement est très confortable, très bien équipé. Tout était très propre. Nous avons adoré prendre le café dehors le matin grâce à la petite cour où on entend les oiseaux chanter tout le temps. Nous recommandons vivement!

Super accueil, avec une superbe maison paisible, propre, on se croirait chez nous. avec un panier rempli de spécialités ecossaisses. Richard est très réactif. la région est magnifique. Nous reviendrons.

Nice stay for one night as we were passing through town. Comfortable for my family of 4. Easy to get in and we drove into town for dinner and breakfast.

This place was just like the description. The location is very walkable, but out of the busy tourist center so it’s very quiet. Everything I needed was provided, which made the stay very easy. I would stay here again if I visit Inverness again.

Mo & Brygida were consummate hosts. They provided excellent instructions. On arrival, both greeted us in the driveway. They’re lovely people - they had even made chocolate muffins for us and had a handwritten note welcoming us to the cabin. Mo also provided us restaurant recommendations and told us how to access the greenway immediately behind the house. The place was perfect - we were 10 min from Glencoe activities, had a gorgeous view, and was private for the evenings when we were worn out from long days of hiking! Would 100% recommend and would go back!

Apartment in a lovely location and has a beautiful view over the loch. Spacious, very clean and well appointed.

The pictures do not do justice to this stunning place. Rosanna was helpful with her suggestions for nearby resturants, shopping and basically everything under the sun! Trust her directions and all her suggestions! The property was fully furnished and stocked and beautiful. I stayed up late watching the sun set over the ben nevis. The sky windows are amazing. Cannot recommend her property enough!
