Holiday rentals with a fireplace in France

We had a great time at Dagmar and Guy's place. They were very responsive and thoughtful from start to finish. The house is spacious, well located and offers real privacy, perfect for relaxing. We highly recommend it!

I'll find... let's focus... I'll find... I'll end up finding something to criticize about this accommodation and its hosts, so I don't look like a groupie! The accommodation itself? Incredible. A building with an incredible soul, refurbished inside in perfect harmony with the volumes, and the addition of modern touches in total harmony with the rooms, for absolute comfort. Cleanliness? Absolutely nickel to the last detail. D**n. Let's still look... The location? In the heart of an absolutely beautiful village, where the only noise is the bird concert... or sometimes the passage of a sheep flock! The hosts, then? Kind, attentive and at the same time discreet, proactive to further enhance the stay. With each exchange, we feel real, bright people, and not just "commercially polite". People we'd love to have as neighbors, you know! Well... well, it's impossible to find a weak point... In short: go for it, it's a gem!!

Everything was perfect. 😍 It was my first experience in an Airbnb and what a surprise it was to come across this magnificent accommodation with huge grounds and a beautiful and large pool, it clearly went above and beyond our expectations! The owners were really very welcoming and warm and their responsiveness was surprising. They offered us an onion and a watermelon with a little thyme to help us cook our dish, it was lovely of them. You'll soon regret the moment you have to start packing your things to leave, as you feel so good there! There is really everything you need to have a pleasant stay and from start to finish, everything was perfect! Many thanks to Christine and Gérard for their hospitality, their kindness sincerely touched us. I would definitely recommend this accommodation, hoping to be able to come back! ❤️

Walters Home is a wonderful oasis for all who appreciate peace and nature! The house is furnished with a lot of love and taste, everything is there to make you feel comfortable immediately. We especially liked the spacious terrace, the winter garden with the beautiful view of the countryside! Since the described access goes down the slope over hill and dale, travel bags are definitely the right choice and not for guests with limited mobility. Dear Walter, also in this way again a big thank you for the hospitality, also the fast and nice communication. Gladly again!

We enjoyed our stay here and would stay here again. The location is terrific— an easy short walk to all the tourist sights, but the apartment is very quiet at the same time, since it is in a courtyard on a small street. Lots of bars, cafes and restaurants located near by. The apartment is in an older building with 15 foot ceilings, fireplaces in each room and other historic details, so it has some charm. Visitors should know that there is only one bathroom, which is accessed only by entering into the primary bedroom— that arrangement was fine with us but may not work for all groups. Second, the owner only provides provisions for the first morning, so visitors staying longer should be ready to buy coffee, tea, hand soap, shampoo, any paper goods, laundry pods if you plan to do more than one load, etc. There are many stores nearby so that is easy to do. We loved Rouen and this apartment was a great home base.

Many thanks to Olivier! His place was just as described and in a great neighborhood. Two doors one way fantastic boulangerie; two doors the other way amazing gelato; and several great restaurants in between. Easy walk to two metro stations to get almost anywhere we wanted to go. Merci beaucoup!

This is a clean, tidy house, and the view outside the window will make you feel comfortable It rained most of the time I was in Lyon, and the fireplace in the room made it even more fascinating. This city is located in the south of France. I think I like Lyon half the time because of this house that makes me feel like I'm living locally

Beautiful old Parisian style apartment and special view! This was one of the most beautiful Airbnb I ever did. Romantic and walkable. 2 mins from the Sacré Coeur Cathedral. You won't be disappointed. The area is quiet and close to metro as well. I love it!

Lyon’s la foret was a beautiful place and Patrick and Stephanie’s place is more fantastic than the photos. Morning delights of eggs or from the bakery were a very thoughtful touch too.

I can not say enough about this place! The apartment was beautiful, excellent location with public transportation literally a few steps from the apartment. Sylvia and her husband were awesome from restaurant recommendations to supplying us with a loaded metro card. I plan to stay here again when I visit in a few months.

Absolutely amaaazing! Alexis was incredibly quick to respond to any questions we had and personally welcomed us when we arrived, which made us feel right at home. The apartment was clean, spacious, and in the perfect location. I’m usually a little hesitant to choose an Airbnb over a hotel, but this stay completely exceeded our expectations. We enjoyed the villa, worked well for our first trip with our granddaughter. Lots of space and enjoyed meals out on the terrace.

Loïc’s house is excellent and exactly as described. The pool is lovely. It’s good to have the barbecue. We cycled every day parts of the Loire velo route. On bike it’s only 40’ to the centre of Orleans. Loic himself was very helpful and communicated quickly

The house matched the description. Jean-Baptiste responded very quickly to our questions. The setting and location are fantastic. The swimming pool with the vineyards surrounding the house are an absolute added value.

Serge’s place is amazing. We spent a lovely 10 days there in May and it was exactly what we were looking for. It’s walking distance into the village which has everything you need, and the place itself is clean, well appointed and in a beautiful setting with its own lake. Serge was so responsive and kind to us during the stay too - he went the extra mile to make sure we enjoyed ourselves!

I had a lovely stay at this place in the middle of the forest. It's ideal for disconnecting and enjoying the calm. Accommodation is as described, clean and well-equipped for a comfortable stay. The environment is nice, with beautiful outdoor spaces to relax. The hosts are welcoming and discreet, which allows you to fully enjoy the place with peace of mind. A good place for those looking for a bit of rest and nature.

When I come back to CDP I would stay here again. A great location that’s very walkable with beautiful views.

A beautiful home - thank you for allowing us to stay. Very clean and modern with a good security system. Driveway is steep but manageable and so worth it to get to the view. The bedrooms are comfortable and AC is good. Two fridges are great. Loved the lounges around the pool. Both Maud and Laura were excellent at answering questions, plus Laura helped us out at short notice with any issues, and got us great tables at 2 nearby restaurants. We loved the peaceful environment and beaches around Les Issambres and it was a great base for visiting Saint Tropez by boat, and Saint Raphael by car or bus, as well as other Cote D'Azur beaches and villages.
