Chalet holiday rentals in Franklin County

A hiker’s dream. The perfect reprieve nestled in the heart of Saranac lake. Joanne’s cabin was the perfect location to tackle the Saranac 6 Ultra hiking challenge. With 6 mountains across 5 different locations in saranac lake, we were able to stop at the cabin 2 times to change clothes, eat & restock supplies. The blackout curtains in the bedrooms were also greatly appreciated as we were able to go to bed very early the day before for a 1:30 am wake up. The house was very clean and cute. The laundry room was convenient to wash dirty clothes. The showers were glorious after 17 hours of hiking. Joanne was a kind & responsive host. I would stay here again with my family or friends.

This home gave us (6 adults) a magical week. Got some good work outs on the hills as part of the charm. Attractions and restaurants were easy to get to. Every direction was a nice walk past interesting houses. Our week had every type of winter and the house was a perfect rest area. Host John made it easy and simple to check in and out!

Joe’s Cabin was a perfect space for our family! Long driveway was perfect for sledding with our 3 year old, we felt like we were in the middle of nowhere yet so close to the main street in lake placid. Skiing was great and not a far drive from whiteface either. Amazing views out of the living room windows of the mountains in the distance. Snowed every day we were there and there was a snowplow that always made his way down the road and driveway. Joe was a great host and very accommodating. Loved being able to bring our dog with us as well!

Brian’s home was even better than the photos. A big and lovely screened-in porch; a well-appointed kitchen; a luxuriously large living room and dining area. Brian is a responsive host- he answers questions very quickly. A perfect spot for a family gathering.

We really enjoyed our stay. Great location allowing us to be within walking distance of town, but far enough away for privacy and quiet. The house itself is perfect for entertaining and socializing, but also allows for people to spread out and have their own space. Having access to the garage is a huge perk for keeping ski/outdoor gear out of the way.

Michael’s place was perfect for our group of 8. The common space was comfortable and well-furnished. The cold temps did not allow us to enjoy the porch but in the warm weather it must be sublime! We made full use of the well-appointed kitchen. The little butler’s pantry was a great place to store non-perishable items so the kitchen counters remained clear. Each room had either an en suite bathroom or one right next door. Everyone loved the water pressure. We felt like we were away from it all but very accessible to town. Everyone in our group enjoyed their stay.

What a beautiful home! We immediately felt at home. Any questions we had were answered in a wonderful book that Cynthia had put together, complete with suggestions of places and activities. We were close to everything! Thanks again, Cynthia!

We enjoyed our stay! Perfect ski in ski out location on Titus mountain. FYI, There are 4 private bedrooms plus two more Murphy beds in basement. It’s hard to tell from the description. It was perfect for two families!

This place is a lovely choice for your next stay in the Adirondack’s! There was a booklet written with tons of recommendations and everything you would need to know. The host was helpful and responsive! The view from the balcony is 1 in a million and also where I was proposed to! Everything was clean and cozy and my dogs felt at home immediately. Had a little bit of everything in just the right way. Maybe next year I’ll be back in honor of my engagement!

I cannot express how perfect this weekend was. Linda’s home is absolutely exceptional, the location is a dream, and her house is gorgeous. It’s perfect for a group of guests we loved having our own bathrooms, playing some pool down stairs, relaxing by the fire and in the hot tub, and seeing the beautiful landscape and wild life. It was the perfect cozy weekend, while also filled with activities like shopping, boating, and hiking. My girlfriends and I just couldn’t believe how incredible it all was. Thank you Linda to you and your family for offering such a wonderful place for us to stay!

Kent’s home was beautiful and clean. A short walk into lake placid and had plenty of space for my friends and family. Kent was a very communicative and friendly host!

My family of 4 recently traveled to Lake Placid for a few days of winter fun and had the absolute pleasure of staying at Michele's Chalet. The Chalet features beautiful Adirondack-themed decor and finishes, comfortable and cozy furnishings, and thoughtful amenities that made our stay feel extra special. There is even a sledding hill in front of the Chalet complete with sleds, plus a play loft stocked with toys. At the end of each day on the slopes or in town, we loved retreating back to the Chalet and its peaceful surroundings. Michele is attentive, warm and friendly, and she offered us great recommendations for dinner spots and family activities! Also, even though our stay overlapped with a significant snow fall, the drive and walkways to the Chalet were always clear of snow.
