Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Frenchboro

Peaceful location and charming home on Mount Desert Island. So much to do nearby just within short drive. Bee Hive hiking trail, Cadillac mountain and echo lake. Acadia park is beautiful. Felt at home here. House was very clean and perfect retreat for our family of 4.

I enjoyed my stay. The house was spotless and I’m very picky about that. I traveled with my dog and I’m always concerned when they accept pets that the house will smell or have hair all over. I have to say the house was spotless and fresh. I do not allow my dog on furniture like some people do so I always get concerned. The kitchen was well equipped and bathrooms spotless and equipped. Has laundry machines as well. Stacks of wood inside and at the fire pit outside. Beautiful plantings outside and even thou I don’t have an electric car, I did see the charging station. Great place!!

Brian’s AirBnb is in a quiet and safe neighborhood. The keypad check in is simple. The home is spotless. There are plenty of linens and kitchenware. The home is close to Acadia and downtown Ellsworth. If you want a short drive to Acadia and MDI, this is your place!

Man we were so lucky to get the opportunity to stay at Judi's place. My wife and I stayed there while we were eloping in Bar Harbor and it was so fun!!! We had never stayed on an island that you have to ferry to but it was honestly way easier than you think it's going to be. Judi provided AMAZING notes and recommendations, we felt very prepared before we got there! Is there anything I would change about our stay? Nope! The only thing to note is that the market was closed the weekend we were there because the family that runs it was out of town! Haha so small town! So just make sure you check that if you're planning on getting stuff from there but it's so easy to get back and forth from Northeast Harbor it really wasn't a problem. Would I recommend this to anyone? 10000000% I would and I hope we get to bring our son back to stay here as well someday! Thank you so much for an amazing stay Judi!!!!!!

We enjoyed staying at the Barn. Easy access very private and quiet. Very good connectivity.

This is an amazing find! We have been to 37 states and have stayed in countless air bnbs, and this is quite possibly our favorite. The location is gorgeous! The house is packed with amenities, which we super appreciated as a family of 5. The view every morning and evening was stunning. We were able to kayak from the house, have campfires, see the stars at night, enjoy the view and TV while hot tubbing, sip tea from the balcony, hike the nearby preserve, watch the wildlife and experience the amazing tides. We would 100% stay here again and hope to after we catch the other 13 states. If you're on the fence, just book it!!

The space was clean, cozy, and exactly as described. in the listing. Check In was easy & the host was very responsive when sent a message. The location was peaceful yet close to surrounding Cities. Highly Recommend!

Great Airbnb that is about a 30 minute drive to bar harbor. Super close to hikes and beaches. Extremely communicative and flexible host that accommodated some changes on our end!

We felt right at home at the Open Hearth Inn. Arthur and his team were very friendly and helpful. The inn is stocked with everything you need to enjoy your stay, including snacks and treats for both humans and pups. We enjoyed the fire pit and hot tub when we weren’t hiking in Acadia. Definitely a great experience!

This place was great and very clean. This is an Airbnb that beats a hotel every time. Close to Acadia, and has river access. Very nice place, and I definitely recommend staying here. Everything was high quality from the furniture to the silverware. Thanks again!

This Airbnb was exactly as listed. Everything is updated, very clean, and comfortable. Jordana was very responsive and accommodating. I would stay here again.

So peaceful but off season. So not sure how it would be with lots of traffic and people. But the private deck and entrance was wonderful. The water view couldn’t have been more up close and personal with the beautiful harbor. The place was clean and cozy. Perfect lighting. Didn’t watch tv once. A convenient common room for extra supplies or a cup of coffee. Staff was very friendly when we were checking out. No front desk attendant and none needed. They answer messages quickly!

Beautiful spot and view from the hot tub and dock. Cute little living space and we loved the welcome/ informational guide provided as well as the home made cookies ready for us on arrival. Would stay again!

Renee's place was great for rest and recovery between hikes at Acadia. Had everything we needed to prepare our own food, and located close to shopping. We had a great time and would definitely stay again next time we explore Acadia!

We had a wonderful stay at Barb’s place! The location is beautiful and the home is cozy, clean, and well appointed! Barb was very communicative, pleasant, and friendly. The house had everything you could ask for and then some! We look forward to booking here again.

My mother and I stayed here for a peaceful weekend and a nearby wedding. As lifelong Mainers, we were looking for a rustic camp on the water with a screened porch, and this place delivered. We spent our time reading, napping, walking, and even doing a little work (the internet was surprisingly fast). It was so nice that we could include our small dog with us as well. While the camp has a rustic charm, it’s thoughtfully outfitted with modern comforts: comfy beds, quality linens, a smart TV, reliable Wi-Fi, and a well-stocked kitchen. The hosts even provided extras most don’t—like paper goods, baggies, matches, and toiletries—and were nearby if anything was needed. They even included shower essentials if you happened to forget any. The sunrise was spectacular from the front porch. Loons swam by daily. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and wish we could have extended it---we would definitely book again! Thank you for being amazing hosts!

Megan’s home is beautiful and welcoming. It’s ideally located on the quieter side of the island. She’s a wonderful and knowledgeable host. We would stay here again without hesitation. Charming, spacious and comfortable.

Old school cabin vibes! Loved this place and we will be back to spend much longer than our short 2 days. I loved having a fire going after a day in the woods and hopping into a cozy bed. It was too cold for us to go swimming- but their were canoes, kayaks, row boats and other water crafts to choose from. Beautiful and rustic. Clean and comfortable. Also we left something behind and they shipped it the next day . Thank you!

Kelly's cabin was a very quiet and peaceful place where we were able to enjoy the beach right on the property, watch the sunset and the changing water levels on the shore. The cabins are about a 45 minute drive from Acadia and Bar Harbor which are a must for a long or short vacation in Maine. Our cabin was simple but had everything we needed and Kelly was very responsive with any questions we had.

There are several small cabins and what looks like more to be built on the property. They are brand new and in great condition and importantly: clean. There isn’t a kitchen to cook anything but a spot to make tea/coffee, a mini fridge, and some silverware if needed. The bed is very comfortable after a day exploring all the small towns or hiking Acadia. Under an hour to Bar Harbor and near Belfast (and plenty of places to get lobster or check out all Maine has to offer). Highly recommend!

Absolutely loved the peace, solitude, and cozy atmosphere of the little cabin in the clearing of the woods. You could smell the ocean when you stepped outside, view it from the road, and. drive to Lamoine Beach in five minutes. The cabin was clean, cozy, and very appropriately suited for a vacation foe two, and two more too! Close drive to everything you could need or want. I would recommend to anyone who wants peace in the midst of tourist attractions and hustle and bustle. I would also recommend again to my husband and myself. We loved the whole week so much!!
