St-Michel-de-Fronsac is a small village from where you can explore the countless vineyards as well as UNESCO World Heritage site, St Emilion and the Bastide town of Libourne and the Citadelle of Blaye. Further afield, Bordeaux as well as the Atlantic coast (Arcachon, Dune de Pilat and Cap Ferret) are great for day trips.
