Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Funny River

Amanda’s place was a wonderful get away for our family to get together! The views were beautiful and the house had a perfect walkway straight down to the beach. The house was clean and Amanda was extremely helpful with everything! Great place to book if you’re looking to have a larger group of people stay together!

Love this little place. Lots of amenities, the kitchen is well stocked for cooking and the fish cleaning tent & outdoor freezer were impressive. Love the little fire pit outside as well. Everything was super clean and Megan is always super responsive. Thanks again for a great stay

This space was huge, lots of room for lots of people to spread out. The view from the living room and the master bedroom was amazing! A tidy, rustic cabin with personality. A word to others: all the bedrooms are either up or down a flight of stairs. There is tons of daylight during the summer so be prepared if you need extreme darkness to sleep. This property was exceptionally well equipped, you will not want for bedding, towels or kitchen utensils here. It was a quiet restful home base for us.

This was our second stay and that says it all. While its just the two of us and we don't need two bedrooms, we stay here anyway. Carl was in touch with the checkin details and from there it was like coming home. There is everything you need for a short or long stay, a friendly new puppy to greet you and a beautiful view. It is removed from the hustle and bustle of "downtown" but an easy drive. Everything is spotlessly clean and comfortable. Since we have family in Soldotna, we will be back and hope that we can always stay here!

This was our 4th year in a row staying at Adela’s. It’s definitely one of our favorite places to stay at. We commonly see moose when staying there but this year not only did we see 3 moose but were also visited by 4 caribou! Thanks again, Adela, and hope to be back next year!

New build, plenty of space. Nice to have the garage option while we were there. Quiet neighborhood although you do hear the highway as it is very close if trying to sleep with the windows open (no AC). Communication was easy, no issues.

Guys. This place was beautiful . It was comfortable. It was so clean. Sheets smelled clean. Would recommend . And holly was very good at communicating and explaining where to park . Would definitly book again another time ❤️

CarlieAnn’s place was perfect for my trip with my dad and brother! We had a fishing expedition in Kenai about 20 mins away, and a wildlife tour in Seward which was about a 2 hour drive but so scenic and beautiful! Not a lot of options for food or activities in the area if it rains, but the home was comfortable and accommodating. We will definitely be staying here again next time we are in Alaska!

The attention to detail and thoughtfulnes in the accommodations from the cookware to the bathroom accessories was awesome. Fresh flowers in all 3 rooms made for an amazing welcome and it was the best place for me to stay while handling my mom's estate in town. Beautiful view and very close to everything ❤️ Highly recommend.

Perfectly located beautiful stay communication was very easy.

It worked out fine for our needs for last-minute fishing trip during peak season. It was very basic with a bathroom, comfortable beds refrigerator, heat and a TV (was not used). Host was extremely accommodating and very passionate about getting people out on the river fishing. You do need to use bottled water for drinking and making coffee, as it is pretty metallic like a lot of Alaska water. You come here expecting exactly what you see. Book your fishing trip with scout lake adventures.

This was a great place, super cute, we loved the décor and all of the nice touches. Where something might be inconvenient, they thought of a way to make up for it. They had plugs on the nightstands for phones, touch lights, remote for the ceiling fan, etc, etc. They had everything we needed and so much that we didn't know we needed! We even borrowed their umbrellas. The only drawback was the mineral smell of the water but my daughter knows people who live there and that is very common in that area. It is conveniently located to both Kenai and Soldotna. We would definitely stay there again!

All expectations met. the unit was clean, adequately equipped, private-ish, and peaceful. The river view from the deck is really wonderful. The property is very well kept, and the large lawn was perfect for playing catch and tag with our 8-yo grandson, who was staying with us. only a 20-minute walk to Safeway and Sportsman's Warehouse. Lots of fishing access within an easy drive for both the Kenai and Kasilof. Also lots of lakes. We loved the Kasilof for all the eagles, but didn't catch many fish there. It was pretty early in the season. We would definitely stay here again.

Colleen was an amazing hostess and I believe it was either a nephew or son-in-law Don, who was also very, very friendly and helpful, especially when I needed a vacuum he offered his shop vac with extension cord. Colleen was an amazing hostess, very responsive and accommodating to our needs. I would definitely recommend their lovely home a little off the beaten track but quiet and nice. I would love to come back in the future. One minor issue is the Wi-Fi is not reliable. Just to get reliable Wi-Fi we ended up going to McDonald’s, Starbucks, and the Safeway since my daughter was taking a class and needed Wi-Fi at least during the day.

Good apartment for 4, but it would take 4 chairs for proper family lunch

Robb’s roost is in Kenai which is the Capitol for sockeye salmon fishing. This time of year it was boiling with fish everywhere. Came in to support our 21 year old son who was playing for the Penisula Oilers collegiate summer baseball team as part of the Alaskan College Baseball League ABL Robb is a great communicator. Some of the most beautiful day trips where I saw things that take your breathe away, bears, schools of fish, moose, Bald Eagles. The glaciers, snow caps and wooded forest are truly spectacular Gods blessings Craig Johns

Michael was super accommodating and a great guide to my dad and his friends that were wanting to go to Alaska for fishing! He was very friendly and very communicative. This area had a beautiful river nearby and they were able to enjoy it every second of their stay! Would recommend this place and specially this host! Thank you so much for your hospitality!
