This lovely home was a delight to stay in. Lovely authentic touches, a great bathtub, good kitchen and serene and comfortable bedrooms. The neighborhood is great for biking, there is a nearby shopping street and plenty of conveniences. Emily and team were responsive, helpful and friendly. Were I to come back to Kyoto, I would absolutely stay again!

Very homely place to share with 4-6 friends. Very accommodating and comfortable. The Open Air Bath was to AMAZING! HIGHLY RECOMMEND My only gripe is that we were looking for it at night and the Google address does not show you it is in a little alley off the main street.

Super cool house with tatami flooring but beds are extremely comfortable. You feel like you are living in history. It has all the modern comforts. AC heating etc. close to Kyoto station. Lots of taxis around. Host is super kid too. Have great recommendations on restaurants Would stay again.

There was no problem communicating with the host, and they asked me about my requests. The building is separate and I was able to stay without hesitation. It was nice to have a baseball board and other games. If you are staying with 6 people, please be careful with two people staying in a double bed.

This accommodation was definitely one of the highlights of our trip! The place is amazing, extremely clean, organized and absurdly peaceful. The host was super kind and attentive. We love it and it will be our choice if we ever return to Japan!

This is a wonderful, walkable location to everything Kyoto. If it is not walkable, then the station or bus stop surely is to get to where you need to go. We found it to be amazing, convenient, comfortable, quiet to sleep, and in a great location. Would definitely recommend! Also host is very responsive and provides great amenities, such as a washer and fridge.

The place is in a lovely residential area where you really get to feel the vibe of the city. We arrived quite early just to drop off our baggage before heading out, and we happened to come in while two women were still cleaning. They were incredibly kind and made an effort to communicate with us, even though they didn’t speak English — we truly appreciated that. The instructions were very clear, everything we needed was provided, and the space itself was clean, peaceful, and cozy. We immediately felt at home. Thank you so much for letting us check in early! Bonus tip for future guests: there’s a LUUP bike station right outside the gate — a perfect cherry on top if you’re planning to explore the area by bike.

Perfect place and location!

We had a lovely stay! Kaz is a wonderful host and gave us a lot of tips of the surronding area and of Kyoto in general. The studio was very quiet, clean and comfortable. Short walks to different bus stations. The shrine directly in front is very nice and in the top you have a beautiful view of the city. The onsen nearby was a great plus. The wifi connection was amazing and the fact that he provided us with a portable one made our trip so much better! Perfect stay!!!

K/H did an amazing job as a host and making me feel welcome during my stay in Kyoto. Their clear directions made the stay seamless. Noise around the bnb was not as bad as expected ( rail line by the apartment), and it didn’t impact my sleep at all! Thanks again!

Our stay was fantastic! The apartment is in a great location — super convenient with lots of excellent restaurants and local spots just a short walk away. It had everything we could possibly need and made us feel right at home. The area is vibrant during the day and calm at night. The host was responsive and easy to communicate with. We had a wonderful stay in this very clean and comfortable home, which had everything we needed—whether we were relaxing inside or heading out to explore. After a week of travel, we especially appreciated having laundry facilities and helpful supplies on hand. The space felt roomy for the two of us, especially compared to other places we’ve stayed in Japan. May and Milan were very responsive, and the detailed instructions made it easy to use the Japanese appliances. The location was excellent, just a 10-15 minute walk to Nishiki Market, with plenty of great restaurants and cafes nearby. We’d love to return and would happily stay at May’s place again!

The Kyoto apartment was well positioned, close to several bus lines and only about a five minute walk from the river and many restaurants and bars. The washing machine was appreciated and it felt more down to earth to get the experience of a proper apartment while on our travels. The hosts were very communicative and made us feel well hosted.
