Holiday rentals with a kayak in Garden Route District Municipality

We had a peaceful relaxing weekend at the Old School House, its very charming, full of character, and comfortable. The surroundings and views of the mountains are beautiful, we had a walk down to the river which also very charming.

What a wonderful stay! From the 1st communication the checkout, everything was wonderful. We had a family of 14 from 8 years old to 83. The house swallowed us up. Pictures on here don't quite do it justice. A beautiful house that flows from the kitchen to the lounge to the deck to that amazing view right on the beach. It was perfect for our large family get together. We all had enough space to be together but crucially enough to be apart as well. It was very well equipped to cater for all of us. The setting of the house is just fantastic right on the best beach in SA but still walking distance to all that Wilderness has to offer. Finally I have to mention Elzette. My Mother of 83 had a fall just before our trip so was not very mobile. Elzette sent us all the info we needed before the trip and even helped by picking up mobility equipment from George for our arrival. Above and beyond! Any issues were immediately attended to with kindness and efficiency. Highly recommend! Thanks

We really enjoyed our stay here. lovely home, fully equipped with everything we needed. Everything is in good condition unlike other places we've rented. The best part was the location, a few steps to the nearest bridge to get into Thesen Town. We didn't drive at all when we stayed there. Also lovely to walk within the Thesen Estate in the evenings. Faith was incredibly friendly and thorough upon check in. We were very pleased with our stay.

My family and I had a wonderful stay. The house was lovely and situated in a beautiful area. The house was clean and spacious to accommodate everyone comfortably. The host were both very helpful. I would recommend this place.

We had an incredible stay at this beautiful home. The views were absolutely breathtaking and the atmosphere was so peaceful , it was the perfect getaway for our family. We visited in winter and, although we were initially concerned about the cold, we were pleasantly surprised to find heated blankets on the beds, a gas heater, and a cozy indoor fireplace that made our stay extra comfortable. The host was lovely, welcoming us warmly and always available when we needed assistance. The location was central, easy to find, and close to everything we needed. We were genuinely sad to leave and are already looking forward to our next visit. Highly recommended!

Beautiful place on the river. The house has everything you need and the complex has good amenities (tennis, squash, swimming pool).

We quickly settled in at Paradise. The house has everything one needs, felt peaceful and safe. Very close to the lagoon and also mosaic/slow roast for morning coffee walks. Hosts warm and friendly.

Our family stayed for 5 nights and we really loved it. The solar power never went under 80 percent even in overcast condition and it's so private and quiet. If you like camping and be to yourself we can truly recommend the place. Liz was very responsive and sorted out small problems immediately.

Jean's house is the absolute perfect place for a family holiday. Lots of space, adjacent to a lovely, clean lagoon for fishing, swimming and canoeing; a lovely lawn for the kids to play on, a massive stoep (verandah) to spend the days and early evenings enjoying a braai and admiring the spectacular view of the hill on the other side of the lagoon, in the coolness of shade. The granny cottage in the backyard is the perfect go-to place for grandparents or parents to escape to. The location is perfect, on a cul-de-sac, near enough to restaurants and shops alike. To top it all, Jean is the perfect host and communicated accurately, honestly and immediately. Our large family of nine returned home, relaxed, happy and well rested. We absolutely dream of repeating our fabulous holiday in the exact same house, soon.

We had such a magical long weekend! This beautiful home wasn’t just the perfect getaway—it was the perfect fit for our family. It truly felt like a home away from home, and we loved every second. We were all so sad to leave! The location is ideal—central to Malgas and close to local restaurants and the shop, all surrounded by the most stunning natural beauty. The house is incredibly well-stocked and peaceful. We especially appreciated how sound doesn’t travel through the house easily—a huge bonus when you’ve got lively little ones! Having access to the two-man kayak was a real treat. The weather played along, and we spent hours paddling on the river—it was absolute bliss. We’ll definitely be back! Every now and then you come across special places in the world, places you feel truly priveleged to be able to visit. This is one of them. It's a wonderful place to stay, it's a whole experience being there, both wild and rustic but also comfortable and set up just right. The cottage is perfect. A great space for two to share, cosy and decorated with a minimal but excellent taste, the kitchen has everything you need, be it for storing some snacks or more concerted cooking. (of, for example, delicious things you find at the nearby Sedgefield market). The area is wonderful to explore, jump in a kayak and go! And, sure, you can hear the traffic across the way, but at least in mu opinion, it just doesn't matter. Stay for as many nights as you can, you're going to want to. We had a great stay in Sedgefield. The accommodation was secure, clean, relaxed and within easy reach of the lagoon and shops. We had a really lovely holiday!

We enjoyed our stay at Carin's place in Still Bay. It is a bit rustic, but it was clean and neat our family enjoyed the location on a superb beach. We especially enjoyed the fire pit and the outdoor shower. We appreciated Carin's help with a few issues and some items we left behind. Thanks Carin!

Our stay in the treehouse was absolutely delightful! The atmosphere was peaceful, surrounded by nature, which added to the cozy vibe. The interior was charming and well-equipped, making it feel like a home away from home. I loved the little touches that made my experience special. I can’t wait to come back! This place truly deserves a perfect 10/10!

Beatrice provided a beautiful stay, a home away from home. She was very proactive with messages and checked we had got in safe etc ☺️ the setting is beautiful with good security and activities for younger kids. Knysna is within walking distance but we chose to drive for personal reasons but everything was easy enough to find. The complex is very peaceful and we enjoyed the space so much!
