lovely little cottage that is so beautifully decorated. The outside areas are so beautiful and there is a lovely water feature just outside the door which makes the whole area just feel so soothing and definitely not like in the middle of a big city! I was traveling through Knysna with a vehicle full of things as I am relocating and Lesley even made space in her garage so that I could safely park my car in it as the vehicle couldn't lock. I would definitely recommend this spot to anyone! lovely accommodation and a super lovely host!

We had a wonderful few days at Ashley's place on a farm in the Klein Karoo. Wide open spaces with blissful silence and the magical Karoo with its starstudded nightsky while keeping warm around a crackling fire is really a special experience. The accommodation is comprehensively equipped with all you need and you are even supplied with a crate of wood every day for those lovely nighttime fires. Co-host Stephné is always available and very attentive to make sure you have a memorable experience in this unique part of the world. Highly Recommended!

We had a fantastic stay at Peet's Place. Right on the beach for morning and evening strolls. Beautiful ocean views from the lounge/dining area, balcony and upper deck. The communal space is big enough to accommodate all guests comfortably, with the bedrooms and en-suites giving you privacy when required . The accommodation had everything we needed and more. We loved our stay and hope to be back soon.

what an awesome experience!! Julia is a great host, everything was explained well and easy to understand. what a bucket list experience and highly recommend visiting! super close to the waterfront with great restaurants and the mall is close by. secure parking for your car is also available so you don't have to worry. nothing beats waking up to the sunrise on a houseboat! wifi, hot water and all the amenities of a normal house just on the water, so awesome!

We had the most wonderful time at the Game Lodge - we were luckily greeted by the giraffe, ostrich’s and buck on arrival. We also got lucky waking up to seeing the Giraffe in front of our lodge for breakfast which was special. The food at the restaurant was delicious. We would highly recommend it. Shaun was welcoming, always had time to talk to us and answer any questions we may have had. We can’t wait to return!

Lovely bachelor type accommodation. Has everything you need. Beautiful setting and a quick drive into the village. The caretaker was pleasant and helpful.

A Truly Magical Escape – Frog Mountain Stole Our Hearts Wow, some places truly touch your soul, and Frog Mountain is one of them. You can feel the love, care, and passion that Gabriela has poured into creating this magical retreat. Our stay was nothing short of incredible. From the joy of walking up to the labyrinth and witnessing a breathtaking sunset to the pure exhilaration of squealing down the foofy slide—every moment felt special. We loved hiking to the waterfall and rock pools, immersing ourselves in nature’s beauty. Our cozy rondavel felt like a warm hug after each day of adventure. The charm of Frog Mountain extends beyond the landscapes—it’s in the horses grazing peacefully, the cows wandering the fields, and the symphony of beautiful birdsong each morning. Swimming in the river was a refreshing delight, and every corner of this place felt like a gift to the soul. We are deeply grateful

Lovely cottage, well situated, clean neat and well equipped for a lovely get away. Really enjoyed staying there.

I had a lovely stay. The cottage is beautiful and Pietro was the best host. The Carpenters Cottage is a gorgeous cosy tiny home with everything you need to be comfortable. It’s also a fascinating piece of history. Pietro gave me great advice about where to go and what to do in Knysna, and even took me to see some of the lovely local beaches with her sweet dog Rupert. I would definitely stay here again and will be recommending it to any of my friends and family who visit Knysna.

Comfortable place, friendly host and an indoor fire place

Fun place to stay, very family-friendly with lots of communal spaces to enjoy like the hot tub, braai area, gardens, bush walk track. The cabin was nice, we especially enjoyed the private outdoor bathroom.

The location was exceptional. The views, the river and surroundings are all breathtaking. The cabin is the perfect location for numerous day trips or one can spend the day on the river with the kayak. Altanja was always responsive and helpful amd the cabin was clean and attention to details were appreciated. The only thing to note is the cabin is on solar with a small battery. On cloudy days one can expect to run out of power after a night of charging phones and laptops only. Not a problem when expected but do note this and pack accordingly. Ps. Bed is super comfy!

This was a lovely place to stay. Very convenient location, beautifully designed little cabin for two. Well stocked, and comfortable. The bed was very comfortable and with lots of warm bedding. The hosts are gracious , warm and welcoming. I will definitely stay here again and I highly recommend it.

Very good and unique experience

We had a lovely stay at Whitestone, the details, layout, decor and surroundings are simply beautiful. Claudia and George are very nice people. I do however feel that the price per night (whether you stay during the week or weekend) is quite steep when I compare it to other luxury airbnbs we have stayed in. We’ve been to airbnbs with hot tubs and breathtaking views, with beautiful designs etc, but at a more reasonable price. A qualm of ours was that the hot tub took 7 hours the first night to heat up from cold with continuous stoking(the hole is too deep), and still was only warm, not hot after all that time. The smoke from the fire/braai doesn’t have any real ventilation because again the hole was built very deep so it makes it hard to bbq without inhaling smoke between that and the hot tub. It is gorgeous, but maybe a bit more worth it if it wasn’t at such a high price when compared to what else is out there. This is just our opinion.

It was wonderful to wake up to the sound of bird song, and look out upon the exquisite views of the forest and surrounding landscape. The cottage provided us with everything we could wish for, with our cherry on the top hot tub which was deliciousy delightful to enjoy on a cool evening next to our braai area and stoep! The hostess was very nice

Every now and then you come across special places in the world, places you feel truly priveleged to be able to visit. This is one of them. It's a wonderful place to stay, it's a whole experience being there, both wild and rustic but also comfortable and set up just right. The cottage is perfect. A great space for two to share, cosy and decorated with a minimal but excellent taste, the kitchen has everything you need, be it for storing some snacks or more concerted cooking. (of, for example, delicious things you find at the nearby Sedgefield market). The area is wonderful to explore, jump in a kayak and go! And, sure, you can hear the traffic across the way, but at least in mu opinion, it just doesn't matter. Stay for as many nights as you can, you're going to want to. Thank you Gustav for sharing this special place.

Visited the place for a weekend break and we got a lot more than expected. This little gem offers peaceful surroundings, interesting walks, and we’ve never seen a place accommodate our pets so well. It was an amazing stay and we’ll be back for another break soon.

I was on business in Knysna. Convenient location, near a restaurant / pub. It was a comfortable stay with a kitchenette and very affordable . Kristina was a friendly helpful host.

We absolutely loved our stay in the Shepherds hut, so much so that we had to extend our stay! I can't recommend James's spot highly enough if you are looking for a peaceful stay near Plett.

The layout of the property is thoughtfully designed, making it a joy to relax and unwind—whether you're cooking, reading a book, birdwatching from the hot tub, or simply enjoying the peace. Excellent hiking opportunities nearby add to the experience.

Lovely stay, well laid out and tastefully decorated! The kitchen was well equipped, comfortable beds and good quality linen. Heather was extremely responsive and kept in touch! Good experience.
