This is an ideal romantic vacation spot for couples. It is located in a quiet, serene neighborhood and has a large deck to enjoy. There is usually snow in winter. This is a kid friendly property with a pack-n-play, booster seat, and a play kitchen area in the downstairs. There is a king bed located upstairs in the loft (winding staircase is steep) and a double bed located downstairs in a bedroom. Our little “Hakuna Matata” is a beautiful, cozy, private 2 room mother-in-law unit, with its own separate entrance It has a living room with full size futon, and bedroom with a sleep number King bed, kitchenette (induction plate, convection microwave, fridge) and full bathroom. We are permitted for 4 guests, more suitable for 2 adults and 2 kids, or 3 adults. Meaning of Hakuna Matata in Swahili is “NO WORRIES” - which is exactly what you will have “for the length of your stay”.

Studio apartment located in a quiet neighborhood. The apartment is attached to the main house but is separated by a wall. It includes a private, outdoor sitting area with grill. Private bedroom space separate from living area. This is a great location with a 15 min bike ride to beaches as well as several hiking trails in walking distance. Bike rental, coffee shop and restaurants are within walking distance as well. There are three ski resorts with in 20 minutes of the apartment.

It’s great that there was plenty of space for my children to play, and the snow must have added an extra element of fun. Having a clean place with essential amenities, along with a convenient location near the lake and restaurants, makes for a perfect family getaway. Plus, a responsive and friendly hostess can really enhance the experience. Keep in mind it is a older house, so there are little details here and there. But nothing that won't make me not return. Found my get away cottage for Lake Tahoe.

We had an amazing stay at the Airbnb. The home was clean, cozy, and exactly as described. It was the perfect spot for me and my friends, super comfortable and had everything we needed for a relaxing trip. The location was great, and check-in was smooth and easy. Micheal was incredibly responsive and kind throughout the entire process, which made everything even better. We really appreciated the thoughtful touches and how welcoming the space felt. Definitely recommend staying here if you’re visiting the area. Thank you for hosting us!

Prime Location! Fully Remodeled! Cozy and Chic!

We could not have been happier with our experience at this beautiful property, which is ideally situated within walking distance of great restaurants, grocery stores, and all the other amenities you could want. The property is also located just a few minutes drive to some of the most breathtaking (and easy) hikes to isolated beaches like Fallen Leaf Lake, Rainbow Trail and Emerald Bay. The house was simply amazing and the host thinks of absolutely everything to make it a 5 star experience. The place has recently been remodeled and it was done flawlessly creating a very unique and hip vibe inside. The house is spotless and feels news while still maintaing a rustic and cozy charm inside. Do yourself a favor, if you are thinking of booking an expensive hotel or room in a resort, stay here for less and for a far better experience. This is a 5 star experience which far exceeded our expectations.
