Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Gatineau

We had a wonderful stay at Sarah’s place. The location is great, close to a SAQ for any groceries. It was also very easily accessible to Downtown Ottawa. Sarah was on top of things and very friendly. The house itself was self contained and beautiful and it was exactly how it was described. Would love to stay here again!

Very nice cottage, not waterfront but only a few steps away. Limited view, but some may prefer being a bit more secluded. Otherwise very clean and well renovated.

What a gem! Don’t hesitate to book Magdalena’s little slice of heaven in the trees. The moment we opened the front door we felt right at home! Everything is absolutely perfect. The house is larger than it looks from the outside, with tons of space to share time or have some privacy. I brought my 16 year old for a few days to hike and relax and she LOVED having her own “wing” with the screened in porch outside her bedroom. Magdalena was so responsive and helpful, but there was absolutely nothing we needed. Check in was a breeze, the house was easy to navigate, and we loved every minute! The beds were SUPER cozy, and I was greeted by deer in the window in the morning sunrise. If you love to cook, the kitchen is fabulous with a great oven and well-equipped. We always go to Les Fougeres for a meal when we’re in town, and it’s just 5 minutes down the road. Make a reservation and check it out for a beautiful dinner! Absolutely stunning setting and a very clean and well appointed rental. Charming vibe and super cozy set up. Amazing master suite and also very comfortable secondary suite. My family all felt “right at home” and we would definitely consider returning on our next visit to the Ottawa area. Jumped in the Ottawa River on May 18th and can attest to the cleanliness of the water and the nice sandy beach! Exceptional place to relax, refresh and recharge! We were a large group of ladies looking for a quiet place not too far from Ottawa, Gaye and Ed’s place was perfect. We stayed two comfortable nights. Beautiful house with stunning view of the river, lots of spacious rooms. Gaye and Ed were great hosts very welcoming, thank you. We will certainly come back.

We had an amazing stay here! The place was super clean, cozy, and had everything we needed. The backyard space and hot tub were a great bonus—perfect way to relax. The hosts were very responsive and made everything easy. Thank you so much Alden and Megan!

Some places are just houses. Others hold space and pause. From the first moment we walked in, "The River Retreat" welcomed us like a warm hug. My siblings and I came here to honour the one-year anniversary of our mother’s passing, and it ended up being exactly what we needed. Peaceful, cozy, and full of thoughtful touches. Every room, view, and amenity gave us a chance to breathe, reflect, and spend quality family time together. We tried all the amenities, including the hot tub, canoe, kayaks, fire pit, and pool table. But our favourite pass time and location was definitely the home cooked meals around the round table overlooking the river. We left feeling full in every sense. Thank you Marlene and Morgan for being such fantastic hosts! We’ll absolutely be back.

This was by far one of the best Airbnb experiences we’ve ever had! The loft we rented was absolutely beautiful—stylish, spotless, and even more stunning in person than in the already-gorgeous photos. Every detail was thoughtfully designed to create a warm and relaxing atmosphere. The owners were simply amazing (merci Pierre & his wife) —so welcoming, kind, and genuinely friendly. They went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. Super accommodating and easy to communicate with, which made the whole experience even better. We felt right at home from the moment we arrived, and we’re already planning our return. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful, memorable getaway. We can’t wait to come back! 💛

The place was great. Spacious and comfortable. Fairly quiet. We were there during a snowstorm and the host helped with clearing snow and getting us out of a ditch. Highly recommend.

Cassandra is extremely communicative and welcoming. Everything is exactly as described. She's clearly a very experienced host (or just very natural at it!). I love her two adorable dogs!

Great place, clean and as described/shown. Only minor quibble I would note is that cooking some fries in the air fryer (only to golden, far from burnt) did set off the smoke detector as there is no exhaust fan in the kitchenette area and the smoke detector is quite close and apparently sensitive. Took a little while to clear out the air and have beeping cease, not sure how guests can be warned or guided on this but it was the only negative incident in the stay. Host was communicative and responsive, very helpful. There was firewood/kindling/matches to use in the outdoor fireplace, and they set up the electric grill which worked decently though fair warning that it is a challenge to clean afterwards! Rented it for an event in Ottawa and driving back and forth was great but didn't have a chance to explore the local area though it seemed lovely and very peaceful with a quaint downtown street. All in all a great place to stay!

5 Stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Denis’s house is a peaceful escape surrounded by jungle and a lake, absolutely beautiful and relaxing. The rustic decor is charming, and Denis was kind and very responsive. Our dog loved exploring the area too, highly recommended!

We had a wonderful stay! Luis was proactive and communicated clearly throughout. The cottage was beautiful, clean, well-maintained, and stocked with all the essentials. The mountain top views from every room made it extra special. A peaceful and scenic spot that made our family trip truly memorable. Highly recommend!

This was our second stay at Kim and Scott's and we loved it again. Very private and peaceful cottage, right on the water. We brought out paddleboards and paddled the entire lake. Super cute place for two people.

We stayed at La Belle Denis cabin and it was literally as presented in the picture. The cabin is warm in winter with hot water ! Perfect for a weekend gateway. We love the quietness in winter and the trail on the property. We hope to comeback in Summer to check out the lake! Shu

Terre & Neige est une pépite précieuse. La passion de Julia est rafraichissante et inspirante. Nous avons adoré non seulement sa cuisine mais également sa belle convivialité. Le chalet était superbe, l’attention aux détails aussi. Je recommande vivement pour une expérience réellement de qualité.

We went to Ruben’s cottage for our daughter’s first christmas in 2024. The place was private, cute & cozy for 4-5 ppl. The host is very prompt in responding to our doubts (even though they are mentioned in the description). The location is 30 mins away from parc omega. I had requested to put up some Christmas decor for our daughter and Ruben was kind enough to accomodate the request. the living room was beautifully lighted up and well decorated. To our surprise, we found christmas presents for us below the tree. Note : the location in the google map is little inaccurate. It took us 50 metres farther. We checked with the host before we could spot the cottage. Overall it was a very pleasant experience for my family and would definitely recommend.

Nous avons apprécié la vue sur le lac et les feux de bois en fin de journée. Petite plage a proximité pour se baigner. J’avais cru qu’il y avait un paddle et un canot (car figurant sur les photos) mais effectivement pas dans la description des équipements. Ca aurait ete un vrai plus!

Place was beautiful , great location, private and lots to do … well stocked kitchen and games. Just a little issues with checking in but Francis was able to set up remotely and stayed in touch throughout. Also offered late checkout . Will definitely visit again… thank you for being a great Host !

Pretty view of the Rideau River. Quiet spot to relax, take a stroll around the neighborhood. The kitchen had everything that was needed to cook. Comfy bed with a great view.
