Monthly Rentals in Gaube Lake

We had a great stay at Francis' place in Cauterets. The apartment is situated just outside of Cauterets centre (abut 10-15 min walk). This is clearly a 'ski resort' and we were there out of season so everything was very quiet with a number of shops closed, which suited us as we were looking for a quiet 'get-away'. We found it to be a good base from which to visit the most popular and interesting places in the area such as Foret de la Vallee-de-Saint-Savin, Lac du Gaube, Lourdes, Gavarnie and Col du Tourmalet, all of which are well worth a visit. Some truly spectacular scenery! We were there in May and were fortunate with the weather, a little rain, but some fabulous sunny days to see this spectacular scenery. The apartment itself was very clean, warm and comfortable. Francis lives downstairs, so was always available with help and advice should it be required. A very friendly and amenable host!

We were looking for a quiet place for our sporting week, with access to the paths (trail) and pass (road bike). The place is ideal! Everything is possible when leaving the residence. We caught our eyes full of it. The apartment is extremely well located and very pleasant with an amazing view. We will come back without hesitation!

The apartment is very well located, clean and with everything you need. Valérie is very attentive, willing to inform us about routes or what we want to do. Highly recommended stay.

We had a lovely stay in this apartment. Perfectly located and with a very friendly and responsive host. Great little balcony to sit on as well. We had some amazing walks in the mountains easily connected to by the town’s shuttle. Loved it!
