We had a wonderful stay at Villa Despina! The location is fantastically quiet, perfect for relaxing, and at the same time a good base for exploring the south of Crete. The villa itself is very clean, lovingly furnished and well equipped – from the kitchen to the beautiful outdoor area with pool, everything was well maintained. We particularly liked the warm hospitality and the little touches when we arrived. We felt right at home! A real highlight: the fantastic view of the surrounding nature and the sunsets in the evening. We will be happy to come back and can recommend Villa Despina to anyone looking for peace, comfort and Cretan warmth. Thank you for everything!

If you are searching for paradise, you will find it here! Words can‘t describe the magic of this place. It‘s all about the details of design and living (from the signature house scent and the open-air shower to the tasteful interior design and the infinity pool overlooking the rough cliffs of crete), total peace far away from hustle and bustle and waking up to the breathtaking, unmatched view of the sea right from your bed. Einat was a great host, she welcomed us personally and was always there for any questions. Good to know: In the region are not many mini- or supermarkets and everything is at least a 15 min drive away. But you can enjoy a delicious breakfast at the apartment if you want so and Einats recommendations for great tavernas, beaches and beautiful villages in the area are worth every ride! You should listen to her tips, because some of them were the gems of our crete trip for sure. It was definetly not our last visit. Thanks for the great experience!

Breathtaking views! Do you want a clean and beautiful accommodation? Then you've come to the right place! 🤩 The accommodation is modern, clean and well equipped. The outdoor area is simply perfect, great seating, mega pool also for kids and with the spa whirlpool simply a paradise! Not to forget this beautiful view of the sunset 🤩 Not only is the accommodation perfect, but the hosts, Maria and Savas, are great hosts! Friendly and courteous, and always available! They brought toys for my son and despite the fierce challenge with the Sahara dust, they did everything to ensure that we can enjoy our vacation 100% 😊 We are already looking forward to our next visit to Crete and to Maria. A beautiful Crete getaway in a great home. Charikleia will always be there for you to answer your questions, give you good recommendations and even bring some traditional sweets. The accommodation is very well located, quiet and relaxing with all the equipment to be comfortable during the stay. You have nearby not even a 5-minute walk to a small convenience store and a 10-minute walk to the beach and small restaurants (be careful in early November only 4 open restaurants). To get to Elafonisi or Balos, plan to drive 3h10 and 3h45. For a family of three we really enjoyed this largely livable place as a family. The pool is a real plus. It was a great vacation and I really recommend this place. Thank you again for your kindness and generosity. Thanks for the three of us!

The best, most luxe Airbnb experience! 🥹 From the epic views and immaculate landscaping (with butterflies everywhere!) to the private pool + tennis court to the incredible suite with comfortable bed, spacious / modern living + kitchen spaces and endless amenities. This place has it all and is in absolute paradise. We were at peace the whole time. We loved the outdoor shower, free laundry, local village bakeries / cafes & restaurants, total privacy, local provided olive oil (made by the host!), and friendly hosts. Absolutely perfect! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Everything worked like a charm and we felt right at home since day one. The host warmly welcomed us and we quickly settled in. All the rooms were spacious and clean. There were two equal bedrooms both with their own en suite bathrooms. Each room had its own control for the AC which was very quiet and cooled the room really fast. The living room had a huge comfortable sofa and beautiful decor! The outdoor terrace was spacious and the plunge pool was really clean. There were two huge sunbeds large enough for at least four people in total and a view to die for! There were also private sunbeds right outside the villa on the cobble beach. All in all a total 5/5 experience and we can’t wait to visit again!

The villa is clean, well stocked, and spacious. Simos was incredibly responsive and great to communicate with. The area is lovely, with a few excellent restaurants in walking distance, wineries and olive farms really close, and Knossos Palace also a short drive away. It’s a great place to unwind and the proximity to the Heraklion airport is also a bonus if you’re flying off the island.

Our stay at Christina’s was excellent. Exactly what we hoped for, a quiet village, clean space with everything we needed. The locals were friendly and we had plenty to do within a 30m drive any direction. Would recommend as a home base to explore the rural areas of Crete.

Everything was perfect, the host was very responsive to messages, the accommodation was very clean and complete, it was well located, we were close to everything. I recommend it 100%

We really enjoyed staying at the Epicurean. It is very close in the car to Agios Nikolaos and has a small wonderful beach 5 minutes away.

We really enjoyed our stay at Manos's house. His mom lived right next to us, and we got help with everything from him. We toured all of Crete with the rental car. The beach near the house is clean, pleasant, and sandy.

We spent wonderful and relaxing holidays in Dimitri's apartment. The apartment is fantastically beautiful and tastefully furnished, with high-quality furniture and it really lacks nothing. The terrace has a unique beautiful view of the sea and we spent many beautiful hours there. Dimitris is super friendly, always available and with helpful tips for excursions, restaurants, etc. he helped us a lot. He also organized the transfer from the airport and it worked out perfectly. The location of the apartment is also perfect. Supermarket and restaurants are within walking distance and the bus station is just across the street. We highly recommend the apartment, for us the most beautiful so far and we will gladly think back to the time and come back soon.

We spent our first night in this accommodation and we were delighted with the welcome we received, our host was very warm and advised us to go to a small tavern next to the accommodation in which we went and we met a very kind owner who made us taste a lot of specialties. Magnificent. ☺️

The hosts were very nice and helpful

Together with my wife and daughter I really did enjoy our stay at Elenis Apartment! We had to leave Crete earlier than expected (due to some private stuff). Eleni was very understanding and accepted our request of shortening the stay. We got a refund of 3 days which was very accommodating!! The flat got everything you need, we spent most of our time on the balcony looking at the sea. The beach close by is nice and quiet. The next restaurant is in walking distance of 25minutes, we do recommend a rental car though.

My wife loved this place. Everything from the new modern unit to the garden grounds. The bed was comfortable and the private parking area was also very convenient. The beach is walking distance, only half a mile away(downhill). But we didn’t feel like walking uphill back to the unit, se we just drove. An adorably friendly cat visits daily, which my wife also enjoyed.

I already miss this house. It’s like a fairytale cottage. So many cute little spaces indoors and out. Character and charm! It’s old with stone steps and some low doorways, so don’t be clumsy. Our hosts were hospitable and kind. We felt right at home. There are many flowers, herbs and trees. Unforgettable.

Staying at Sunterra feels like being an honored guest at a Seaside Cretan Villa. My accommodation was lovely and private. Sofia left honey, treats and the best olive oil from her family estate. She checked on me often without being intrusive. I slept to the sounds of the Cretan Sea and the pool is world class. This is one of the best places to stay in the area. The house and the landlord Gorgios are great and highly recommended. The house is quiet, very clean, has a great garden and everything for a relaxing holiday. Gorgios had even provided a basic supply of food and drink for the first evening and brought us rolls and strawberries over a short visit. Also, Gorgios was very flexible - thank you for everything. We will be back.

Very quiet place with amazing views. We really enjoyed our time there. The house is well equipped and has everything your heart desires. In the surrounding villages are very beautiful beaches, which were hardly visited, as well as small tavernas with super tasty and cheap food. We felt very comfortable.

This place completely exceeded our expectations! It’s absolutely stunning, with a breathtaking, priceless view that made our stay unforgettable. The hosts were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and went out of their way to make sure we felt comfortable and accommodated. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience — highly recommended!
