Alicudi, the island of silence... no cars might disturb you! You can hear the silence in this beautiful place. But you need to like to walk up and down the island by foot. To reach the house from the port it takes approximately 20/25 minutes on stone steps. If you are looking for a relaxing holiday this is the right place!

Maria Libera's house

This is the only house in Ginostra with a breathtaking seaview. You could fall asleep lulled by the sound of the waves. The flat has an almost circular shape, all the rooms access a large shaded terrace where you can dine while watching the sunset. The rooms are furnished in a simple and functional way with an Aeolian and slightly ancient style; the local people call the house "Maria Libera" from the name of the woman who lived there at the beginning of the 1900s.

Absolutely loved staying with Paola & Marcello - so much we actually booked a second time in the same trip to Sicily! The views from the property are stunning - you’re steps away from their garden, the stars at night are perfection, and you’ll have some of the best sunsets on the island. Breakfast here is the most peaceful way to start the day. They serve an incredible homemade meal with fresh local foods. You will feel like you’re dining with family. Marcello kindly transported us to and from the ferry because the property is at the top of a hill (near the observatory). This isn’t just a place to stay it’s truly an authentic Liparian experience. Grazi milli ❤️

We found Ale's accommodation fantastically beautiful and felt very comfortable there. It's a little paradise. The garden is beautiful and we even had a roof terrace that we could use. The accommodation is close to the town center and some nice cafes, restaurants and bars are within easy reach. There is a beach in the immediate vicinity. The beaches, which we liked even better, are a little further away, but can also be reached on foot in 20 minutes. Ale everything hostess was also very friendly and gave us great tips. All in all, a top accommodation and a top hostess.

Francesco immediately made himself available for hospitality, as well as having great tips for activities to do. The house is crazy, with a large terrace overlooking the port of Panarea just a 5-minute walk from the port itself. Highly recommend!

This is a special place on a special island. We visited Salina, Vulcano and Filicudi during our stay, but Alicudi has a charm of its own. Rebecca met us at the port and we found the village shop had all we needed. The mule carried up our luggage, and we challenged ourselves on the famous stairs. They are tough, but the views are wonderful and you get to see village life as you pass each house on the way up. Our house had incredible views, and we loved the choice of shade or sun on the terraces. It was tranquil and private. The house was very well equipped and we cooked most evenings. We bough fish from Ugo at the port which was delicious, and enjoyed lemon granita at the cafe to help us up the hill. We also did some challenging hikes to watch the sunset, and reach the highest point on the island. It felt like we were in a faraway corner of the world - in the best way! Thank you Rebecca for all your help during our stay.

Alberto’s home is a green and warm heaven of Alicudi. The charm of the house makes you want to spend your days up there! The views are mesmerizing and the garden is truly beautiful. The location is ideal - high enough for the views and the legs but approachable still. Great starting point too for long and breathtaking hikes across the island. Communication with Alberto was very smooth and everything was made very easy for our stay. We will be back!
