Villa holiday rentals in Gioiosa Marea

This place has been a highlight of our trip. It is peaceful, comfortable, very spacious and full of character. Our hosts were amazing, friendly, full of local knowledge and very prompt answering any questions we had. Our arrival was welcoming with delicious snacks provided and a free guided tour of how to get to the best local shops. It is close to everything that you would want to see and there is a restaurant within walking distance. The outside shower is amazing, but there are also 2 indoor alternatives. Jane and Bill

The property is off the beaten path and full of character. It’s got a wonderful garden and terrace area with amazing views of the surrounding mountains - the highlight of the place. The host was responsive. The only negative is the flushing of the toilet in the main apartment which doesn’t quite work right. However, the views and the fact there is a BBQ was provided more than made up for this minor inconvenience

Great place close to the beach, good for friends and families to spend time outside of the city next to nature

We feel very lucky to have stayed here - your garden is beautiful - the children loved picking oranges and lemons and making delicious juice. We enjoyed evenings on the terrance and taking in the spectacular view - we even saw etna erupting which was very special. The villa has everything you need for a comfortable stay. You have been a wonderful host, thank you for all the help, recommendations and reservations. We loved the take away pizza and restaurant you recommended. You were so helpful and a very friendly and attentive host. We especially enjoyed your homemade lemonchello and amaretto - delicious. We would love to come back in the future. Thank you

We had a fabulous week in this peaceful and beautiful location. The house was well equipped and the pool area was very relaxing with stunning views towards Pettineo village and the hills and valley. An ideal place to enjoy the outdoors, there is an outdoor sheltered dining area and BBQ. You can walk into the village from the house where we found a lovely cafe/bar. Visited Palermo, Cefalu and The Valley of the Temples at Agrigento (allow at least 2 and a half hours to get there). You need a car to get about. Be aware of some winding roads and the track to the house and village is rough, but fine once you get used to it. Thank you Francesco, you were the perfect host!

It would take more than five stars to do right to our experience with Villa Artemis. So far we always had good experiences with the accomedations we booked via AirBnB, but Villa Artemis totally exceeded our already high expectations. It was simply perfect. The house is spacious, tastefully decorated, and with no less than two living/dining rooms and two bathrooms. Outside the house there is are plenty of places to sit and relax with wonderfull views on both the sea and the Etna. The house is clean and well equiped. Everything you need for a great and carefree holliday is there. This review wouldn't be complete however if I didn't mention the family that hosts the place. Francesco, Giovanna, Antionio and Valeria were very kind, always willing to assist. They helped us out more than once. We are really happy to have met them, and hope to meet again.

Adas apartment on the upper floor of an old villa has a lot of atmosphere, with beautiful old furniture, ceiling paintings, a huge garden with orange and avocado groves and a wrap-around balcony with a magnificent view of the sea and on the left hand to Taormina. We felt extremely comfortable and enjoyed the time very much. San Leonardo is very conveniently located for many beautiful excursions, to Taormina, to Catania, or to Mount Etna. Ada has many good tips for nearby destinations.

Stunning sea and Etna view, really friendly host, nice clean well equipped air conditioned apartment in peaceful private surroundings. Walk uphill into town with a lift 10 minutes. Walk back downhill easier. Taormina very pretty lots of restaurants and bars, church and amphitheatre . We really enjoyed our stay. Also found a lovely beach in Mazzarò to swim - 10 min drive away. This was the most magical Airbnb experience ever. Guiseppe and Giulia are the most hospitable Hosts I have ever come into contact with. They went above and beyond to make our stay the best. The villa is incredible with massive outdoor grounds to enjoy and a very beautiful large deep clean pool. Inside the villa is exactly as described but better! They were gracious and filled the fridges with many drinks to enjoy. They met us at the toll booth and escorted us to the villa and then drove us around town later to familiarize ourselves to the area and provided many dining recommendations. They were even so kind as to make reservations under their family name and deliver the most amazing desserts I have ever had! The location of the villa is perfect for day trips to Savoca and Taormina and surrounding areas. To have such a beautiful peaceful villa to return to made this our own slice of heaven! I would return in a heart beat. Thank you Giuseppe and Giulia for the most amazing stay.

We had an amazing stay at Ville Voces! The villa is stunning, even more beautiful than in the photos, and fully equipped with everything you might need. Victor and Marinella were also incredibly friendly and easy to communicate with. There’s plenty to do in the area, and everything is easily accessible by car. While there was some traffic outside the villa, we hardly noticed it after the first day. All in all, we had a fantastic week and truly hope to come back soon!

Beautiful and old building. Furniture and fittings have age, but are fitting for the space and are full of charm. Would recommend.

Beautiful villa, spacious outdoor area, saltwater pool was fantastic. Fully equipped kitchen and BBQ area. Very clean and well presented throughout. Communication with host was faultless, all questions and calls were answered promptly. Villa was very private, we hired a car but Uber was very reliable and good value. Local restaurant Blue Ice was very good. Highlight was visiting nearby Taormina both on an evening and during the day. I would most certainly recommend Villa Flara and the beautiful island of Sicily. 🍋💕

A+++ perfect location very peaceful stay

We had a wonderful stay - the villa is beautiful, in a lovely location, and we were made very welcome. We were given a delicious breakfast each day with freshly made cake and omelettes. The swimming pool is lovely and we had sessions of Pilates and yoga. I can’t think of anything about our stay that could have been improved. Thank you so much Corrado and your team for looking after us so well.

Amazing location and very unique property. Couldn’t think of a better place to stay in Taormina!!

We stayed in this beautiful home between late October and early November. The weather was wonderful, we were able to take advantage of all the outdoor spaces warmed by the sun. The village of Acquadolce has everything you need, small shops, supermarkets, coffee, etc. You can also reach it on foot only 600 meters away, on the way back uphill but you can do it without problems. The house is exactly as it appears in the photo, maybe better, the view is spectacular and the peace you feel is incredibly. A special thank you to Mrs. Gabriella for the warm welcome was really kind. Thank you again for everything 🙏🤗

Lovely house tucked away behind the bustling main street in beautiful Taormina. It is very close to a number of restaurants and eateries, yet is private and peaceful. Livio was a very attentive host, giving us many excellent recommendations and offering us the opportunity to leave our bags at the house to fit in with our arrival and departure. Highly recommend!

The villa was above and beyond what we imagined! The pictures do not do it justice! The hosts went above and beyond to welcome us into their own, helping us with every need and question. The included breakfasts were fantastic and we had the villa owner cook for us one night served by the pool and it was by far one of the best meals we had in all of Italy. The pool was such a special treat each evening after our day visiting Mt Etna (super close to access) or around town. We would highly recommend this place as it’s spacious (we had 8 and there was extra room) and the hosts really went above and beyond to help us with every need! The only downside we had was that we only stayed for 2 nights! We will return to Sicily just to stay at this villa again! Va bene! Grazie mille!

Amazing house and super kind owner! You can feel it’s very relaxing, clean and great place to rest. Indeed, you probably cannot get here without a car, and the road is quite challenging. But the house is rewarding you as soon as you open the gate :) I recommend 100%

We spent a 10 day vacation here as a group of friends. Already upon arrival we were overwhelmed by the beauty of property and surroundings: located in the beautiful lemon grove overlooking the slopes of Mount Etna and the sea. It couldn't get any better! Boredom never arose, the area offers a lot! However, a car is important. There was also always something to do on the property: beautiful pool, ping pong table, foosball, football or cooking in the great kitchen... and always fresh lemons. Maria Gulia and Angelo are super friendly and often helped us with tips and quick answers. The villa is an absolute recommendation!!

We had the pleasure to enjoy the villa dei sogni for almost two weeks. Like our first visit, it was again just breathtaking. The house, the pool and especially the view, absolutely amazing! See you next time, villa dei sogni!

A corner of magic in the Sicilian hills We stayed at this enchanted AirBnb and were deeply fascinated by it. The advice is to arrive before nightfall: the GPS suggests very narrow roads, which can put you a little apprehensive, but following the directions of Cinzia you reach the place in complete serenity. It's really worth the trip! The place is simply magical, with attention to detail, immersed in the wild and authentic beauty of nature. Every corner tells a story, every detail conveys love and attention. During the night, we witnessed the evocative spectacle of the Etna lights that shone behind the hill - an experience that left us speechless. As a yoga teacher, I can say that it is also a perfect place to organize retreats: silence, beauty, and inspiration blend into a harmony that nourishes the soul. Thank you so much for this special experience.

The house is simply fabulous. The architectural design is beautiful. A modern design where everything has been thought of - super bathrooms, bedrooms with excellent beds and storage. A truly great kitchen. The air conditioning is zoned - works quietly and well with simple controls. The pool and outside area is great - sun in the morning and shade in the afternoon. The house is clearly a home designed & completed to the highest standards - not something made with rental in mind. It's a premium priced property that definitely is worth its price. Location is great too. One block from the beach and very close to multiple bars, restaurants and lidos. The public beach is huge - not taken up with private lidos. Letojanni is a very Italian seaside spot. EUR1 gets you on to a bus to Taormina in about 7 minutes. The buses are regular and run until gone midnight. Why drive?
