The island of Giske itself is a gem with a medieval marble church, beaches, untouched nature and birdlife. The island once housed Norway's most powerful noble family, the Arnungs and is mentioned in the Snorre saga.

Stedet er glimrende sommer som vinter - velkommen! - 2 minutt å gå til Alnes fyr - 3 minutt å gå til Alnes besøkssenter - 7 minutt å gå til stranda på Alnes - 10 minutt gange til start for fjelltur opp Godøyfjellet Dersom du trenger dagligvarer er det en 5 minutters kjøretur til Joker på Godøya.

It is a short distance to fishing opportunities and a bathing area, and the hiking trails are right outside the kitchen door. There will also be a boat available for free use during the stay at your own risk.
