It can be reached by public transport: buses C30 C31 C32 departing approximately every hour from the Como San Giovanni railway station, Como Lago Ferrovie Nord or from Piazza Matteotti towards Como-Bellagio, take about 8 minutes to reach the Blevio stop - Decorations Savio, about 100 m away from the house. A pleasant alternative to traditional public transport may be the use of Lake Como navigation boats, departing from Piazza Cavour in the direction of Torno, from where walking for about 15 minutes you will reach the destination. I ALLOW ME TO STRONGLY RECOMMEND THE SMALLEST AND CHEAPEST CAR, TO MOVE INDEPENDENTLY, AS IN OUR AREA PUBLIC TRANSPORT AND TAXIS ARE NOT COFORTABLE Villa Pasta The villa was built in the early XIX cen- tury and was bought in 1830 by the famous opera singer Giuditta Pasta hosting space for its several guests. In the park the fol lowing built: the studio painting of Clelia, Giuditta's daughter, who attended the Brera Academy in Milan; the cafe-house, a small cave to cool in the summer; the wooden theater where Giuditta practised singing. Captain Wilhelm Locke, grandson of the famous philosopher, drowned in front of his wife and other guests in the lake area in front of the villa. Later his daughter erected a gravestone in his memory. In the small ceme- tery of Blevio it is possible to visit the grave of Giuditta Pasta who died in 1865.

The apartment is on two floors: on the first one there is the living room, a bathroom, the kitchen and also a chimney; on the second one there is a bathroom and a big bedroom with a double bed and two single ones. Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Aufenthalt. Michaela war sehr freundlich und immer hilfsbereit. Sie hat uns auch schon etwas für das Frühstück gerichtet so das wir nicht gleich einkaufen mussten. Auch mit den Kindern war sie super freundlich. Einzig die schönen Türen aus Glas scheppern beim öffnen, da hätten wir uns mehr Stopper gewünscht und in der Küche wären mehr Gewürze (Pfeffer, Paprika, italienische Kräuter) wünschenswert.

Thank you so much for an amazing stay! The place is beautiful and the views cannot be beat. Michael and Cosima were super responsive at all hours and helped us with anything we needed. The only downside was that we felt the distance from town and any amenities was downplayed. We ended up spending a lot of time, effort and money reaching the lake as it was a long walk down and then getting a taxi back up. Would not recommend with small children if you do not have a car. It was also very hot when we visited so that made it hard as well. The views truly are amazing and we would recommend 10/10 for families with older children that can do the walks. Thank you again!

Nous avons beaucoup aimé séjourner chez Mary et Carlo. Le lac de Côme vaut le détour et attire beaucoup de touristes aussi ce fut un bonheur de pouvoir se reposer le soir dans un endroit paisible et très confortable. Rien ne manque dans cet hébergement et Carlo est d'excellent conseil. Il faut bien sûr avoir un véhicule qui vous permettra d'être en une demie-heure à Varenna d'où part le ferry pour explorer le lac (nombreux trajets). Nous conseillons donc cet hébergement dans lequel vous pourrez en plus partir à la recherche de minuscules personnages...

Super helpful and clear communication. The Airbnb is exactly as shown, beautiful view from the balcony. Location is secluded however and hard to reach places unless you have hired a car. So just a tip for future visitors- hire a car :)
