The home is centrally located, but in a quiet and peaceful residential area on Raufoss – perfect for families, business travelers and weekend trips. The property is within walking distance of downtown Raufoss (about 15 minutes) with a shopping center, bus, train, and a variety of restaurants. In the surrounding area, you will find excellent hiking opportunities in both summer and winter. It is also only about a 15-minute drive to Gjøvik.

Hiking terrain right outside the door all year, prepared ski slopes a short car ride away in the winter. About an hour drive to Oslo, an hour and a half to Lillehammer. Hadeland Glassverk and Kistefoss a half hour away. Some traffic noise. You choose whether to wash out yourself. Otherwise, the final cleaning costs NOK 800, or if you have pets, NOK 1000. For those who really want to experience the best Helgøya has to offer. Villa Leonore is a summer house built for tramway director Dybwad's wife Leonore in 1915. A nice garden leads down to a private beach by Mjøsa. Beautiful perennial bed and a separate kitchen garden to supply yourself with. You can relax on the porch with a good book, and make delicious local and organic food, with the farm's and the area's own products. There are great hiking opportunities on Helgøya, for walking, running and cycling.
