Ard Daraich Garden Studio Ardgour Fort William.

We had an amazing time at Ard Daraich. The listing is absolutely as advertised. The cottage is fantastic for a couple. We were treated to a full decanter of whisky on arrival which was a nice surprise. The downstairs is a great space with a huge table, cosy living area with wood burner stove (and loads of logs) and a decently spacious kitchen, we cooked all three nights. The bed upstairs was super comfy. There are also two pretty spacious bathrooms which is a nice perk. We really couldn't have been happier with the cottage. The surroundings are amazing. The gardens of Ard Daraich are beautiful and reminded me of a mini Benmore. The walks are also great, with a stunning glen walk nearby and an equally stunning walk to a nearby brewery/pub garden. I'd also recommend a drive to visit Strontian and continuing on a circular route to Glenfinnan. Finally, we met Norrie during our stay and he was really helpful and friendly which was much appreciated. Thank you very much for hosting us!

Bluebell Cottage Glencoe with Hot Tub

JustinRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We had a great time here. The location was great for us (easy drives to Fort William, Glencoe, and Kinlochmore). The home is very clean and in a perfect location. We were able to walk to dinner one night, and we were able to visit great locations in all different direction from the home. Every drive is along water with beautiful scenery all around. On Day 1 we drove 30 min North, where we hiked to Steall Waterfall before having lunch in Fort William. Afternoon at Ben Nevis Distillery followed by a gondola ride at Nevis Range for some afternoon hiking. Day 2 we drove 15 min East to Grey Mare’s Tail waterfall, lunch in Kinlochleven, and an afternoon hike around Glencoe Lochan. Day 3, we drove 15 min East to the Three Sisters area, where we enjoyed our favorite hike of the trip, Hidden Valley. We also visited Skyfall Waterfall and explored Glen Etive. I will definitely stay here again the next time I’m lucky enough to visit Scotland. Mary is incredible and a great host! Beautiful home!

This was the highlight of our long trip and met all the high hopes we had. Peaceful surroundings in space which perfectly links the interior comfort and warmth with the panoramic wildness viewed from the lounge and bedroom. Far from the crowds with beautiful drives and walks

Squirrels Wood Lodge, nr Glencoe, dog friendly

Had an absolutely wonderful stay at Wendy's place. It was very comfortable with all the amenities you could need including a collection of baked goods, milk, coffee and jam! The surroundings were beautiful and I even caught a glimpse of the red squirrel! Best of all was the kind and attentive hosting by Wendy herself. Would recommend this place to anyone after a peaceful Highland retreat!

Fairytale Highland Lodge with Private Loch

PhilipRating, 5 stars1 week ago
A truly royal vacation 8 of us just enjoyed a great time in this magical place. I am wheelchair bound so it was great being on one level. The accessible shower was also great. The place is just like the pictures. Very beautiful. We were blessed with good weather a few days we were there and a number of our party braved the loch. It was an experience and quite cold but worth it. It’s very remote and you have to travel about 2 miles on a bumpy dirt track to get to the house, but it’s part of the appeal. The views are just awesome. From the house there are trails and you can hike up high hills. If not high enough Ben Nevis is a drive away and some of us I did the climb. Overall a memorable holiday and we would love to come again.
