Older attractively decorated small one bedroom vacation rental apartment in a quiet coastal village. It might be better described as an efficiency apartment? Perfect for a party of two persons on a budget like ourselves. Repainted, refurnished after a long term tenant of 13 years moved back home to Ohio. In fact, when we had to come up with a name for the apartment, he had been for so long such a part of every ones lives we continued calling it "Fred's Place".

We had a great stay at Gouldsboro. Rachel’s place was just as described if not better. It was very convenient to Schoodic Point and a reasonable distance to Bar Harbor and Cadillac Mountain while still allowing us to get away from the crowds. A Super Walmart was also only about 18 miles away. The house is right on highway 1 which makes it easily accessible. Of course this does mean that there is a little road noise, but it isn’t that busy and got very quiet at night. We would definitely stay again.

The apartment was very nice with a great location right on the Main Street with a great view in the back as is seen in the photos. Laura communicated instructions which were for an easy self checkin. We enjoyed our time on the Schoodic Peninsula and the accommodations added to the experience.

We absolutely loved our stay! They had everything we needed in the kitchen to make dinners for 6 people and plenty of space for us to all sit together and eat. We really enjoyed the fire pit and the beautiful views. The beds were very comfortable and everything was very clean and nice. We hope to come back soon!

Cozy Acadia Area Cabin, Walk to Beach & Lighthouse

Bear Run Cabin was perfect for our visit to Acadia! It's not a large space, but there was plenty of room for our family of 4. It is such a quiet and peaceful place. The cabin is very clean and cozy. The beds are comfy and there are many small touches that show that the hosts really care about their guests. The kitchen had everything we needed so we didn't have to eat out for every meal. Also, the fire pit was great for s'mores. We loved the location...10 minutes from the Schoodic loop of Acadia and about an hour from the main part of the park. On one of our days, we took the ferry from Winter Harbor to Bar Harbor which we really enjoyed. The whole family had an amazing stay at the cabin.

Mandy was friendly and responsive from the time I expressed interest in the property through checkout. The house and property are spacious and the views of the water are spectacular. The kitchen is well appointed, plenty of room for our family if 5 to spread out, and steam shower was a true bonus upgrade.

Bruce’s place was incredible! It was so close to the state park and to Acadia. It also had a lot of space and felt very homey. I work remotely and Bruce’s place was perfect for that. Would 100% recommend!
