We had an amazing time at Salma’s big beautiful cottage! It’s like something out of a dream. The cottage itself is very beautifully designed with lots of wooden features & accents both within the interior and exterior. We fell in love with its beauty. It’s super spacious inside and has everything you need for a dreamy cottage weekend. The outdoor hot tub with string lights were a very cute touch! The large property is nestled within a lovely outdoor wooded area that feels far away from busy life but is actually only 15-20 minutes away from most local Traverse city places! So it makes for a great location that is best of both worlds. The cottage was very clean and it was very easy to spend the day lounging around in and then enjoy its cozy nature in the evenings. Salma was very kind and easy to communicate with! She was a wonderful host. We really loved staying here and would love to return someday. This is a true one of kind gem and I’m sure you’d make some wonderful memories here too.

Responsive and hospitable, Gorgeous lake views, great accommodations, including hot tub, bicycles, kayaks, fire pit, renovated kitchen. Private and peaceful. Easy access to downtown Ell Rapids.

Omg, I don’t have the words for how awesome this place is. First, it is exactly what you see in the pictures and more. Second, it’s not far from anything and third, it’s so peaceful. I could get lost in pure bliss there. Weather I was in the hot tub, the porch, at the table on the deck, the fire pit, the dock, or even just sitting on the beach collecting rocks. Absolute Heaven. I’ve even told the rest of my family that next time we go to Michigan, we’re going to Traverse City and we’re staying at this house. Absolutely amazing. Thank you so much. Thank you!

Cute little beach house! Home was very clean and owners were very responsive/helpful. A short 30 minute drive to Traverse City and a few local restaurants with good food and friendly staff. The kids loved the water slide and paddle boat!

We really enjoyed staying at John’s cabin, I love fishing so being on the river and so close to good fishing trails was awesome. The cabin was very clean and nice and John provided everything you need which was awesome.

For a group of 4 "mature" women, this home was perfect. We each had our own bedroom and easily shared 2 full bathrooms. The kitchen is well stocked. The house is VERY clean. The location is beautiful in a quiet neighborhood. It was easy to get to Traverse City. Be aware that there are small signs around the house to help you use electricity, heating,/cooling,,TV, WiFi, etc. Audrey was alway quickly responsive to my messages. I highly recommend this airbnb.

We loved this place! Jake was very accommodating and friendly. The place was very clean and had everything we needed. Plus we got to have our 2 dogs! The location was beautiful and outside of town but close enough! We will be back! Thanks Jake for everything! Sincerely Vicki and Ray Johnson

Amazing location right on Lake Michigan! Private beach; seriously so peaceful. This was our second year in a row here and we will be back again!

We had an amazing stay! While the weather was a colder Memorial Day weekend than usual, the lake was as beautiful as ever. We traveled with three small ones and two dogs, and everyone had a blast. The kitchen was fully stocked and even had ziploc bags and plastic containers for leftovers. There was plenty of space for everyone inside and the owners were so accommodating, bringing extra sheets and firewood down for us. This place was so wonderful, I even looked at renting it again later in the summer. This is such a great deal and located in the perfect spot. We will definitely be back!

Tom and Kent were fantastic hosts and the property and home itself were absolutely beautiful. I couldn’t ask for a better experience and would certainly recommend CC49 to anyone looking to stay in the area. The home was clean and comfortable, with amazing amenities. We had so much fun at the property that we hardly felt any need to go into town! Tom and Kent were more than accommodating when I asked about early check-in and Kent even brought extra kayaks without me having to ask. Overall outstanding!

We had an amazing stay. The teachers lounge was like a little apartment. When I got up early I had a place to have my coffee, workout and watch tv without bothering the rest of our party. Andrew was very quick to answer questions before our trip and quick to answer our concerns during our trip. Easily can walk to Torch Lake day park and to the nature preserve on grand traverse bay.

Cute, cozy cottage for our trip to northern Michigan for the ICEMAN MTB race. House was well stocked (Bluetooth music speakers, laundry soap, plenty of towels and extra blankets). We enjoyed our stay and of the three houses we stayed in for this annual trip, this was the cleanest and most convenient location. Thank you for being pet friendly too.

We had an amazing experience at the cottage! The neighborhood is beautiful and quiet, the private dock was perfect for cooling off and taking our canoe out. Kevin and Pat were amazing hosts They left us little goodies/snacks and we had plenty of coffee, cream, sugar etc for us to enjoy on the screened in porch! The beds were super cozy and the ac unit and fans did their job when we needed them. All around we reccomend this place to anyone looking for a cozy stay in an absolutely beautiful location! We would 100% stay here again.

This property met our needs perfectly. The location was perfect. Close to Interlochen Arts Camp where our daughter was starting a summer job and Traverse City which truly is only minutes away. Oaky’s was great for dinner and live music. The main house is 2 bedroom and 1 bath room with comfortable living room and sunroom seating. The apartment over the garage provided another bedroom, bathroom and living area. Our daughter loved the ability to have her own space. The back yard and patios were well kept and the water is crystal clear. Thank you for providing dry, aged firewood!

Needless to say, our group did not want to leave this beautiful cottage overlooking Grand Traverse Bay. The home is a clean, well-lighted space with stunning views, comfortable furniture and a welcoming vibe. We enjoyed our morning coffee gazing out the picture window and wound down each evening over dinner and the great vinyl collection. Our last night we made a roaring fire on the bluff with incredible water views. We've gathered with our friends at least once a year for the past several and this was by far our most satisfying AirBnB experience. We want to return in the future!

Had a wonderful week long stay at Joni’s place. The cottage is cozy, charming, and peaceful. It is clearly very well taken care of and had all the amenities and features we would need, and the kitchen was well stocked. Particularly enjoyed the hammock, as well as watching the sunset from the backyard!

We had such a lovely time at Summer Lark! The setting is private and peaceful, with beautiful views all around. Inside, it truly feels like you’re staying in a treehouse—cozy, light-filled, and surrounded by nature. The screened porch and wood stove made it even cozier, perfect for relaxing after a day outside. One unexpected guest was a friendly 4-foot water snake who stopped by to sunbathe on the dock—it might sound spooky, but it was actually a beautiful moment! The sunsets over the lake were absolutely stunning, though they disappear fast—don’t blink or you might miss them. Our first day brought wild, windy weather and choppy water, but the rest of the trip was smooth sailing with perfect skies. Our dog had the time of her life with all the new sticks scattered across the ground. Tim shared some fantastic local recommendations, and check-in was a breeze. Highly recommend!

This was our 4th time staying at the cottage. It is the most perfect, private & relaxing vacation we take. It's the best place to decompress & disconnect & is our happy place. Highly recommend.

Dereks place was amazing. We went for a short getaway and it was more than we were hoping for! From the views to the house itself, it was the perfect spot to relax and do some fun activities. It is such a nice little lake with rentals available and a dock at the house so you can pull right up.. The sauna was an amazing addition as well. Nothing but good things to say about this place, highly recommend if you're looking for a nice vacation spot.

We had a fantastic stay and would definitely book again! The house was just as pictured—clean, cozy, and in a great location close to downtown. Ky was very responsive, and we loved the private beach, kayaks, and stunning sunrises. Only small cons: a hot sauce packet in one bed and limited paper towels/toilet paper. Overall, a wonderful getaway!
